Hey!
Does anyone want to read "Normal People" by Sally Rooney? If so, I was thinking we could add it as our September book. Here is the synopsis copy/pasted from goodreads...
At school Connell and Marianne pretend not to know each other. He’s popular and well-adjusted, star of the school soccer team while she is lonely, proud, and intensely private. But when Connell comes to pick his mother up from her housekeeping job at Marianne’s house, a strange and indelible connection grows between the two teenagers—one they are determined to conceal.
A year later, they’re both studying at Trinity College in Dublin. Marianne has found her feet in a new social world while Connell hangs at the sidelines, shy and uncertain. Throughout their years in college, Marianne and Connell circle one another, straying toward other people and possibilities but always magnetically, irresistibly drawn back together. Then, as she veers into self-destruction and he begins to search for meaning elsewhere, each must confront how far they are willing to go to save the other.
Sally Rooney brings her brilliant psychological acuity and perfectly spare prose to a story that explores the subtleties of class, the electricity of first love, and the complex entanglements of family and friendship.

Hi Deb...
As you mentioned previously, you were interested in a fitness or lifestyle book...I don't know if this book falls into the category of something you may be interested in reading..."The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck, by Mark Manson." The ratings seem pretty good and it's a bestseller on Amazon. So if everyone is interested, maybe we can add it to the schedule!

So I have added another book for September. I thought it would be good to read You Do You by Sarah Knight with the Subtle book. I think those will go great together.
The bool schedule has been updated through October. i am pretty busy in November and December so hopefully we can read short books those months,
Okay added Normal People by Sally Rooney for November. Sorry for the different order, but I think it this will work better.
How does everybody feel about adding Where The Crawdads Sing for December? It has pretty good rating and has been on our bookshelf for a bit.
I checked the libraries here to see if they had all the books that were on the schedule. They had all of them except for Torment Saint. If you want to keep it on the schedule, I am okay with that, but I will have to skip it. If it's removed from the schedule, I was thinking we could replace it with "One True Love" by Taylor Jenkins. It got 4.5 stars on 5!
As for "The Crawdads Sing," I read the synopsis and I'm not really interested in that book.
