I just bought these for Kindle. Before You Sleep is free :)
I enjoy Adam Nevill and would love to join you. :-) Just wanted to double check though... you guys know that the three stories in Before You Sleep are from his short story collection in Some Will Not Sleep, right? That's the copy I have that's been on my "to read" list, so I'm ready to go. ;-)

That's fine Melanie. Those three stories in "Before You Sleep" are in the bigger book so we'll still be able to chat about Adam Nevill's crazy mind. The book is free right now through Kindle from what Lisa said.
It might be another day or two before I actually start this. I was hoping to start it today but I haven't had any time to finish my current reads or READ!I had to buy a new car in the last couple of days because my 20 year old truck finally went off into junkyard heaven. haha
Buying a new car is an extremely time consuming and exhausting thing to do! Ugh
But hoping to get down to a couple of books by Monday or Tuesday and then I'll get going on this!

Just finished up Mother's Milk!I'm not sure if you have this story in your book but this was so fucked up. And weird. And disgusting. And strange.
And I don't know if I want to drink milk again. LMAO

I finished Ancestors and have started Florrie. Mother's Milk is in Some Will Not Sleep - I can only imagine what that entails. It looks like all 3 of the stories in Before You Sleep are actually in SWNS...good thing BYS was free ;) And hells yes to the people in the mansion in "Angels" being so scary...yow.

Finally had a chance to read Where Angels Come In, and yes, good and creepy. Loved it! And Ginger you made me laugh out loud about Mother's Milk, so I'm going to have to skip ahead and read that one now, lol. :-)

I just finished up Yellow Teeth and I got so disgusted and repulsed by Ewan. Where does Nevill come up with these ideas?!His writing is so descriptive that I literally could smell the piss and unclean, unwashed body. UGH!!!

Yes, just so, so gross. And Yellow Teeth! (view spoiler) Nevill's works, both books and short stories, always evoke in me an urgent desire to escape something. Flee a village, get out of a house, get out of the woods. In this case it was escaping one's own home, or maybe a person.

Just finished that one too and my thoughts exactly! Instead of being scary, they are just freakishly weird and sometimes very gross. ;-) I can't wrap my head around what kind of brain thinks these things up, lol. Have to give it to Nevill, he certainly is creative. :-)
