This book gave a very interesting glimpse inside the borders of North Korea. The author spent 6 months teaching in a school in Pyongyang. Although she found the kids as engaging as kids are anywhere, she was constantly in fear of making a wrong move and being deported or worse. Some Goodreads reviewers didn't like this book because the author got the job under false pretenses. She was a journalist, posing as a missionary/teacher. It was well-written, though, and I found it to be very insightful. I count this as one of my favorites from the 2018 UMW Reading Program.
