This book is at least a few years old but I'm sure it's after 2001. He is a cop and she is a therapist or psychiatrist. She has an add in the newspaper but theres a problem and now people think she's a hooker. She gets calls but mostly just hangs up. Then a cop calls her undercover because he thinks she might be a killer. He seems desperate/interesting and so she reads him some dirty poetry (Byron?) and thinks this might make a good paper so plays along a bit. I don't remember the rest. The title might have something to do with pen or ink or writing, or maybe not. It's a funny romantic mystery, please help thank you.

I woke up this morning and remembered that the title of the book had something to do with a couch. I found it! It's called On the Couch by Alisa Kwitney.On the Couch
