Val couldn't be clearer then - no Dire Straits.

Wiki says there are nine solo albums to choose from, but then there are loads of soundtracks and collaborations too. Maybe Val can clarify if they are allowed?

Usual rules etc anyway, youtube links (if possible) noms close 10pm Sunday, keep on adding to the upcoming rounds with anything you can think of.

I have tomorrow to get over tonight's gig, then it's a 12 hour metal fest on Saturday! When does the madness end?

Thanks Spacepig! I don't have anything against Dire Straits but they would probably be better served standing as a nomination in their own right. I prefer Mark's solo work because of the quality of the lyrics. Happy to have soundtracks and collaborations included here.

A close run race this week with a few contenders, but nosing ahead at the end, the Duke's nom, Fare Thee Well Northumberland.

Sharing second spot, Sussex Welsh and Jemma with Before Gas & TV and Border Reiver, so just the three on the podium this week.

Some good songs there and I may have to think about adding to my Knopfler collection at some time in the future, maybe, if I remember.
