Leave your thoughts on the book here! This is a children's classic that I LOVE. I can't wait to re-read it this month! :D Do you guys have any favourite film adaptions of it as well? I love the Disney animated one, obviously, but there is also a 1999 film version that I had on video as a kid and watched over and over :)

I love this book as well. Eveytime I see a different edition I buy it. I read it so many times but I won't mind reading it again. I just bought the annotated version so I think I will be reading that.
As to film adaptations, I'm not very fond of the Disney one, and as a sort of sequel, I found Tim Burton's version entertaining enough.
If you don't think I'm a fan check my avatar ☺

Randa Mathias (randa_mathias) The first time I read this a few years ago I actually didn't like it very much, which was crushing for me really. This time though I actually really enjoyed it. Probably because I wasn't trying to figure out what was happening the whole time. I need to watch the animated film again! Its been years since I watched that!

Shannon (musingsofacat) Rereading this /after/ reading the Seanan Maguire series (can't for the life of me think of the name of it) I noticed I had a lot more 'this is definitely a nonsense world' thoughts than 'what is happening, what does that even mean' thoughts like I did the first time.

Oh, Every Heart a Doorway? I haven't read that! Have heard everyone say they love it.

Laetitia Brunell | 32 comments I'm really sad, I was really underwhelmed by Alice in Wonderland. I was really expecting to love it, I haven't read it since i was like 7 or 8 and I remember enjoying it then. I also love Alice adaptions. But I just found it too episodic, and nonsensical. There are definitely lines, and scenes I loved, but overall i felt it lacked.

Aw that's a shame! I haven't gotten to re-reading it yet but am hoping to within the next day or so.
