Bat and the Waiting Game by Elana K. Arnold - five stars for warm fuzzies

I'm so sad there are only two books in this series so far! Bat is such a sweet little muffin I just want to give him a hug. In this one, he's still taking care of his pet skunk, trying to figure out how friendship works, and realizing that his annoying big sister isn't maybe totally lame.

We do get the word 'autism' in this one, as an overheard question from a curious minor character, but like in the first book, Bat's autism isn't the point here. It just informs his character, which is earnestly sweet if a little oblivious. I gave it five stars because it's just so warm and earnest and sweet.
