D&J Catch up Challenge

I had a cheap mp3 player that had great playback speed options. But it had other issues, so I got a new one.
I’m listening to my first e-audiobook through Overdrive on my iPad right now, and I love the speed options on that.

Nah! You read silently at least that fast. This current book I have at 1.25. Any faster is too fast in this case.

I listened to the audiobooks of the Bobiverse books one after another, they were brilliant. Definitely something I'd return to.

Thanks! I'll try that next time I borrow my library's audiobook cds.

It was a 5-stars book for me even if I found the beggining really slow. It took me almost two months to complete, but I was always reading another book at the same time.
I will read the next one in the serie, but not right now.

Maybe it will be 2019 and 2020 for me!

I'm going to viciously attack my "Up Next" shelf, which has the next book of each series I've started and lists 43 titles. I think 43 open series is a bit much so going to spend a short while trying to finish off some of them.
I'll come back to my "Catch UP Challenge" shelf in the new year. I've started Half the World, and I'll see if I can close off the Shattered Sea trilogy before the new year.

I slowly tack on one more book every time I go a couple of months without reading the new selections. Just did it with Bloody Rose. ;)
We've now got a separate page for the challenge, if you like using the counters: https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...
I've never done one of the challenges before so this should be interesting. I love that it ends in 2039 so I feel less rushed. :)

I have a weird number but we can always add to it 😊

Will add the rest later, I’m tired lol

Will it be possible to update the number of books? I will be adding more book to this challenge as I can't read them on time every month.
Thank you Rinn, I like this idea also.

Yep, I just put the latest date possible, as there's no end date! :D

I've added myself to the challenge paged and it tells me i'm already one book behind schedule so I best get started.
thanks for the push Rinn

If okay, I will include one I've read this year before joining the challenge.

Yup, feel free to include anything read when I started this thread (July 2018) - that's the date the challenge starts :)

I've read 109 to date. I'm thinking about whether I want to count up from here, or count down from the number I need to read.

Still waiting (impatiently) for my library copy to arrive! I should get to it just in time, but if I don't the book will automatically become a part of my catch-up challenge lol

I was a bit underwhelmed by that one. The first half was great and then the transition into adulthood, not so much.

I feel the same way about those silver round things... I mean, I could transfer them onto my ipod, but how am I supposed listen to them at a faster speed? I like to use hoopla or overdrive as then I can increase it to at least 1.4x. Otherwise I feel like the narrators are speaking... so... sloooooowly...
