ABANDONED. YA Book, Teens with abilities or supernatural powers

There is a book that I have been look for forever. It's a YA book about a group of 5 or 6 teens who have abilities (they don't all use them for good) They live in a house together and I remember their female overseer is evil and wants them to use their abilities for evil and I think she has eyes all over the house or something like that to spy on the teens. The only thing I can remember is about a female side character who has the ability to learn languages but it hurts her to do it and at the end of the book she has learned all languages and uses that knowledge to combine them into one powerful language to defeat the overseer and I think that may have killed her or really hurt her. I don't remember anything about the main character at all. Any help?
