Thanks Hannah for all your cheering! Have a wonderful time on your vacation!
I'm currently not in school (homeshcool graduate) or have a second job yet, so I have some extra time to write in (some days, lol). But it's not speed that matters, it's quality, and I know your novel is going to come out great, just keep working on it (because I can't wait to read it someday when it's all done) =D

11,952 words towards my goal! =)

Thanks Grace, I appreciate all those kind words and yes my novel will hopefully come out soon. Ahh... no wonder you have so much time. xD

No problem. And YES your novel, just keep writing, just keep writing, just keep writing writing.
Lol, even when you have time, there is always something that needs to be done. But I do get to write sometimes. XD

24,678 words written towards my goal! =D

But here is my real word count for the whole outline and character interviews. Are you ready, are you ready? Because I'm not XD
Outline word count for the Team Vergate Outline so far (will it ever be done? XD): 146,719

*spits out juice* *falls out of chair* YOU HAVE THAT MANY WORDS IN AN OUTLINE ALONE????
Cheese and crackers girl, I admire you. I'm lucky if I can write an outline on fourteen little cards, and even then it's really only one sentence on each card and... I can't outline, but dang you sure can. I'm sure you'll get it done! :D

What do you put in your outline!? Is it JUST an outline... or is it with bits of the story as well!? xD

Don't worry. I'm sure that you'll finish up your outline soon!!"
Aww, thanks Alyssa! I hope I will finish my outline soon. This little project is growing taller than me, I think.

*Helps Nicki up and pats her on the back to help with the choking* Lol, yep, I've been, umm, writing it for a while. XD
Aww, thanks Nicki. I'm sure I'll get it done one of these days, it's just taking forever! To be honest, I didn't use to outline, I was a purebred pantser. I later found out that writing little outlines kept me more focus with my writing and helped me find the major plot twists. This BIG outline is something new. And it is for more than one book, thankfully. This outline is for the Team Vergate series which I hope to make a major series someday.
Your outlines are on just a few little cards with one sentence each!!! I'm jealous! If I could just pick up a card and go "Yep! Today I'm going to write about so and so and so and so event." That would be so simple! But no! I have to write about every little detail about so and so and so and so event!
I say, do what makes your novel a better novel. You do a wonderful job with making little details become big events in the books I have read from you. You go girl!
My big outline just helps me not to have writers block as often. And I love to be organized. XD (I love outlining, lol)

What do you put in your outline!? Is it JUST an outline... or is it with bits of the story as well!? xD"
Thanks Hannah! XD
Nope, not just an outline. I couldn't stop at just an outline, I need to know EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYTHING IN MY STORIES MAHAHAHA!!!
Let's see here; there's the entire plot for each novel in the series. (there's a LOT of books in it, I'm not even going to lie). And, yes, it does have bits of the story in it. For the bits though it is mostly dialogue that I can't bear to forget, and where characters are going to be, sometimes I have more detailed notes on their goals and motivations and conflict as well.
Character interviews for the major characters. (I don't usually do side characters who will only pop up once or twice). The interviews will have questions about their looks and likes and maybe how they view the other characters in the series. And their BIG, LONG life history to how they got to be where they are in the novel of which they first appeared.
Because the Team Vergate series is a sci-fi I have notes on the cultures that are in the series. (I have nine different ones plus a few other people who try not to associate with any of the nine races).
Because these books are also Christian, I have notes of different Biblical points I want to explore and talk about.
I might also have a few notes on my technology which I add??? I don't know. I think that's just about everything. When you add it all up it just gets to be that big. XD

*gasps for air* Dear goodness me, so it would seem.
I guess I would say that I'm a planster, but sometimes I plan more and sometimes I just write off of the seat of my pants. Some stories I've written a rough outline, some I've written a checklist of the main points that need to happen, and sometimes I make it all up as I go. It depends on the book that I'm writing and I have yet to figure out why I can outline for one book but have to come up with everything off the top of my head as I'm writing for the next? Oh, so basically you're doing what I TRIED to do with my Sci-Fi story to keep track of the giant plot and the characters and the world I created. Emphasis on the "tried". But I totally admire you for doing this! You're succeeding where I did not XD
Well, I only did that for one story (League of Thieves), I was trying out something different by actually writing an outline. Hehe... if only it was that simple. But mostly it entailed me staring at my notecard thinking "how on earth are my characters going to get from the Midpoint Twist to Obstacle C?" I'm the same way, if I start writing it, I have to write it all which is why I decide to cut out the middle man and just write my story directly. I have too many ideas and when I start trying to outline it, they all flood me at once. I much prefer to keep my ideas floating in my brain, to grab at my leisure when I'm stuck in my writing.
I certainly shall. I'm so glad that you think so because honestly when I'm writing my first draft I have literally no idea of what I'm doing and it is up to the second draft to tie all of these scattered ideas together XD
Well, you do what's best for you. I am a disorganized mess and as far as I can tell, nothing can stop me from getting writer's block. It just kinda swoops in like an eagle and carries me away. But if this helps, do it!

"Oh! You're being so fair by agreeing to come alone. Thanks so much! You might as well be my best friend!" Princess said.
The man laughs and says, "Who says we are bein..."
She has a point, though- it depends on the type of peace offered.

Aww, thank you!
I think everyone has a little bit of planster and pantser in them. *grins*
With me there is times I am in a outlining mood and times I am in a storytelling mood. And when I am in my storytelling mood that usually means that whatever I try to outline is going to come out as a story. So, yeah, I can kinda understand why there would be times you can outline and times you can't depending on your mood and the book you are writing. And just so you know, if you ever start writing your sci-fi book again, I would love to hear more about it. Sci-fi is a favorite of mine. XD
When I outline I have a ton of ideas flood to me at once too! And sometimes I have to figure out what goes first. *Grimaces* It can be a little overwhelming at times, but I just put on some music to help with more ideas, go with the flow, and enjoy myself. Though even when I am writing the actual story I will sometimes get new ideas and change the whole original idea for that chapter that was written in the outline. But that's just me being flexible. XD

Aww, thanks! XD Well... Some information must stay in my head, I think? Otherwise my outline would be so much bigger.... lol
You do a very good job at keeping everything straight, I think Hannah, even if I haven't read your story yet, I'm sure it is going to be great! =) Keeping information in your head while you write keeps everything fun and mysterious. Of course so does outlining. =)

"Oh! You're being so fair by agreeing to come alone. Thanks so much! You might as well be my best friend!" Princess said.
The man laughs and says, "Who sa..."
It does. And she just happens to know more about the peace being offered than almost everyone else. ;)

I finished with some edits on my outline and character interviews. And the last couple of days I got some writing done on the outline! So yay!!!! =D
