Everything. Seriously! I love how active we are, so many BRs to choose from, how friendly everyone is and even our fun games and challenges :) This has been the perfect group.

TTPBLM: Which fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real life?

TTPBM - have you ever intentionally broken the law?

Zaara | 4273 comments Do you mean The First Law, Manju?
Bcuz sho' I broke it...being the Devil Woman...I talk to ghosts....ok I talk to one particular "Ghost" all the time!
😁😝😜
And oh I have seen the inside of a Thai police station...which first of all, ewwww and second of all it wasn't a Bridget Jones thing or anything. My friend Maddy (who is a complete idiot but I love her) left her passport in a taxi and it was so early in the mornign that there was nobody there who spoke English and they mistook us for someone else and soooo...
Which is such a boring end to the story after such a cool start. So here is another story from that same trip...
(view spoiler)

TTPBM: Creepiest travel story, please. Esp the YOWZA ones!

message 55: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Jesus Christ Zaara that’s could be a good comedy you don’t mind if I borrow it

I don’t really have any creepy travel stories I think the one that comes close is my trip to Alton towers which was driven with hormones as all the guys I met were talking about girls and since I’m innocent all of this was very uncomfortable especially when they started to describe how they would ha e sec with the girls (we’re all 15 so it was a mixture of lad stuff and hormones) one decided to demonstrate with a fan in the room which was hilarious also while I was sleeping some guys came into my room acting crazy and they just wanted to hump me for some reason weirdly enough I’m pretty sure no one was drunk but for the week it was perhaps my first taste of the “dark side” of adolescence it was fun although very cringe and I would elaborate but I did a lot of cringy stuff it is difficult to remember properly

Just so you know I only went on a few rides since I hate going on rides for some reason. But yeah that’s my story like I said not as interesting as the Thai stripper.

TTPBM: Have you pulled any pranks on anyone?

Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) | 2388 comments What an experience you two had!😂😂

@Zaara - male stripper, really? So you just sent him away? 🙄

message 57: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5066 comments Pranks? Me? Of course not! 😅 Ok, there might have be a few things... But all I can think of now is not that funny (especially without context...) So here's one that at least take us some planning ;)

We visited a music festival a few years ago with a group of friends. We arrived 2 days earlier on Wednsday and the first acts only started Friday, so we spend our time on the camping ground drinking and doing stupid things.
One of our friends has a tent on his own and he went to bed early, so we decided to move our 'camp' elsewhere and see what he will do in the morning. So all of us packed our bags and tents and stuff and moved away from him. (Thinking back I guess it's a miracle he didn't wake up, because I don't think we were that quiet). The next morning another group of people settled down where we were before with our friend's tent right beside them. We found him sitting with them at breakfast a little bit confused but not unhappy with the situation :D
Actually this other group was very nice and we spend some time with them (But they couldn't beat us at Flunkyball!). I've warned you, it's not that funny a story...

TTPBM: What was your worst slip of the tongue?

Nope! Never! Not even on members of this group. Not just 5 minutes ago on the spreadsheet. No no no. Wouldn't do that. I am innocent.

You know what, I'm going to answer my own question then, to keep things going.

I had to give a scientific talk years ago and instead of 'Organism' I said 'Orgasm', might not have been too bad, if I had moved on as if nothing happened. But I turned all scarlet imediately and had to go back a few slides and start anew because I Iost the thread completely. Looking back it's rather funny, but right there I was so embarrassed because it was a really serious crowd...

Next question: What kind of music do you like? :)

message 63: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Well then I’ve had a few of those.....tongue slips I mean only I’m interested to see how close organism and orgasm is in German since I assume you said it so

As for music I’m not as musically educated as Margaret and I don’t have a specific type of music as I like what I think sounds good

I love a bit of orchestral music especially if it sounds epic which gets the imagination running

https://youtu.be/M2ORBqnok4U

I grew up with linkin park so I have to like them

https://youtu.be/kXYiU_JCYtU

Back in 2014 I had a dubstep craze

https://youtu.be/60ItHLz5WEA

https://youtu.be/DzyKSyLavUY

A few years ago I’ve discovered a band called steam powered giraffe while I was having a steampunk obsession

https://youtu.be/dDRHx4cPgbE

And then there’s a bit of grime and this might be “too big for your boots”

https://youtu.be/dFOErVWlsxg

Recently I quite like Lana del ray and sia especially this

https://youtu.be/cE6wxDqdOV0

https://youtu.be/J75enyWdbBM

But this song is pretty good and since he’s from Bradford I’ll let him off

It's Organismus and Orgasmus :)

I'm going to give a standard answer and say the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (but I have to admit that I don't watch that many movies)

TTBBM: If you could choose one fictional character to be your best friend in real life, who would it be?

message 65: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Hmm, I'd say Royce Melborn, Tyrion Lannister, or Pie o' Pah.

TTPBM: If you had to tag along with a fictional character for the day in their world, who would you go with?

The Doctor! A day in the Tardis can last a very long time :D

TTPBM: What's your favorite sandwich?

message 67: by idiffer (new)

idiffer | 765 comments Ooh, easy question is MINE!
BLT. Colbert reference anyone? No? Ok then, not really BLT anyway.
The really good ones are in Subway. Don't remember the exact name but smth with chicken and cheese. Garlic sauce of course.
At home I just swathe cottage cheese over a piece of bread. Or if it's ordinary cheese then I melt it in the microwave (maybe with 2 pieces of bacon).

TTPBM: what's the stupidest thing you've ever done?

message 68: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments I just did it now I just spent a few minutes looking for a dirty blurb of the Kama Sutra for my Library Romance script and IT IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK ITS GONNA BE

Here I like to apologise to the woman to hear such stupid things and the men for being a failure.

TTPBM: Have you had any moment where you let loose with your dance moves?

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments Ahdam wrote: "TTPBM: Have you had any moment where you let loose with your dance moves

Yes, but usually when I'm in my kitchen and it's just em and the dogs! I've been loving the greatest showman soundtrack to dance to recently.

TTPBM: Favourite dessert.

Haha, I wish something like that was the stupidest think I've ever done 😂 It doesn't sound that bad Ahdam ;)

message 71: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments To be fair Anni it will be really awkward once I’ve finished it and people have read the script they don’t laugh at since I put a lot of effort to making that joke in the script.

Dogs are great dancing partners and so non-judging 😂

Difficult question, there are so many great desserts out there, but right now I would loooove to have a milkshake. Does that count? It's not a typical dessert, but I haven't had one for far to long and I really want one right now!

TTPBM: Where would you spend your perfect day, if you could choose any location? (And what would you do?)

message 73: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5066 comments Ahdam wrote: "To be fair Anni it will be really awkward once I’ve finished it and people have read the script they don’t laugh at since I put a lot of effort to making that joke in the script."

It wasn't meant pejoratively, just encouragingly. I think you shouldn't worry too much, it will all work out somehow! Best of Luck writing that script!

message 74: by Charlie (new)

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments It definitely counts! Banana and caramel milkshakes are my favourite kind.

I'd probably choose a nice forest in Northumberland and spend the day exploring with the dogs.

What's your auestion TTPBM?

message 76: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Nah I know it wasn’t negative and it ain’t something I’m worried about it’s all just an observation I think I find it stupid because I literally thought it up as I was outlining and I was saying to my self that would be funny

I’m about halfway now and I really want you guys to read it since it’s set in a library and the main characters a book lover and the question I asked about your partners interests really gave me confidence writing this script so essentially you guys helped me write this script so yeah

Also Charlie are we talking about a small shuffle or a full on dance routine? 😂😂😂😂😂

Full on dance routine man! I use the dogs as props...

TTPBM

favourite movie for a rainy day?

message 78: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Difficult question if I want to cry either lady and the trans or Wall E ( the scenes with trusty and wall e is probably the closest I have even been to crying at a film)

If I want something sweet then About time with Doomhall Gleason and Rachel Mcadams I think one of my favourite romance films and something I’ll watch a number of times definitely a good watch

TTPBM: What film brought you to tears when you watched it?

TTPBM:

In the country you live in, do people generally wear shoes inside their house?

(In Canada we do not, and it boggles our minds that Americans do)

message 81: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Depends here we don’t wear shoes and we have a mixture of carpets and laminated floor. But we only wear slippers in the kitchen and the bathroom and I assume everyone else thinks that way.

What was the most awkward compliment you ever got?

message 82: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariasaleem) | 684 comments Someone said they liked my eyebrows . . . Yeah I'm not very fond of them. Weird and awkward.

Would you say you're interested in politics (national or even world politics)?

message 83: by Ahdam (new)

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments To be fair I have met people with some really interesting eyebrows I’m sure I read somewhere that eyebrows were good signallers or something you know what never mind I’m prolly lying

I won’t answer the question even though I want to but I already asked a question so yeah

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments I would say I'm interested in UK politics to an extent (since I'm from the UK), I listen to a few news and politics radio shows/ podcasts on the commute to work a few times a week but I'm not really into international politics. I find the US political system quite hard to follow since it's so different from the UK so I have very limited knowledge there.

New question - Favourite kind of chocolate?

I'm fairly interested in it although US politics have been known to be quite funny to the rest of the world so yeah

As for chocolate I never had a favourite I was always a skittles person but if I have to say I prefer the normal dairy milk

TTBM: What do you think of my new profile picture? (On an ego trip right now) :) :) :)

That's easy, on my drive home I decided against my audiobook and listened to the Volbeat CD currently in my car radio, so the last song I'd listened to was Cape of our Hero, kind of fitting as I'm reading 3 Superhero books right now 😂

message 91: by Charlie (new)

My all time favourite series are by those authors.
