The book we will sponsor on the blog tour MUST have been listed in the Making Connections ARR Program!

As this is a free service , you will notice that we have a lot of authors who have signed up to participate in the Making Connections Blog Tours. Therefore, the order of the tours is on a first come, first serve basis based on where the author is on the author master list.

Once your name comes up, you will be sent a Goodreads message to gather more information before we can post your blog tour. The information requested includes: the name of the book you want to promote; a link to the book on Goodreads; how you will provide review copies and the formats available; your email (for bloggers who sign up to post interviews); which types of posts you do not want to include (review, promo, interview, guest post); whether or not you would like to do a giveaway and if so, what the prize will be; and a request for your media/press kit. FYI: the media/press kit should include the book cover, synopsis, excerpt (if you want), links to purchase the book, your photo and bio, and your social links. If you fail to respond to the message within 1 week, then you will forfeit your spot in line for a blog tour and the next author will be notified.

Upon receiving all relevant information, we will determine which dates will work best for your tour (which will run for 7 days) and we will post the Blog Tour Sign-Up Post. You will be provided a link to the Blog Tour Sign-Up Post. You may share this link with your social network and invite your family, friends, & followers to join the tour if you so desire. You are not required to recruit bloggers for the purpose of your tour.

You will note in the Blog Tour Sign-Up Post that we will allow for up to 3 promo posts. The information on a promo post is mainly subject to the information we receive you and may include the blog tour banner (which we will create for the tour), info you provided in your media/press kit, and giveaway link (which we will prepare if applicable). It is our sincerest hope that bloggers will flock to your tour like flies to honey, and that the tour will be overflowing with stops of all kinds. However, if spots remain vacant a week or two before the tour begins, then we will again ask bloggers if they would like to participate in the tour and we will not limit the promo posts to 3. We will try our best to get the spots filled, but please be aware that it is possible that your tour may not have a stop for each day of the tour.

For any blogger who signs up to review the post, we will email you the bloggers’ name, email address, and desired format for the review copy. If you have elected to use Smashwords and have provided us with the Smashwords link and code, then we will distribute this information to bloggers who sign up to post a review. Likewise, if you have provided us with copies of all formats available for your book, then we will email the appropriate format to the blogger.

For any blogger who signs up to do an interview or a guest post, we will provide that blogger with the email you provided in response to the initial message. The blogger will contact you for his/her post. If you notice that a blogger has signed up to interview you, but have not received an email from him/her with the interview questions, please inform us immediately.

A week before the tour begins, we send a reminder email to all the bloggers who have signed up and provide the blog tour packet. We also request each blogger send us a direct link to their post as soon as it is live. Once we receive the direct link, we will update the blog tour schedule (on the Blog Tour Sign Up Post) with the direct link. If we do not receive a direct link, we will attempt to find the post on the blog. If we are unable to locate the post on the blog, then we will contact the blogger to get the link.

***Please understand that there may be times that bloggers sign up for a tour, and while they all have the best intentions in fulfilling their posting obligation, sometimes life gets in the way and there are unable to finish reading a book to post a review, or their blog might crash, or any number of things might happen. Therefore, please be advised there is a possibility that a blogger may sign up to do a post for the blog tour, but may not be able to fulfill that promise, or may need to change the type of post they originally signed up to do. As such, the blog tour schedule may be subject to change. As stated above, we will attempt to contact the blogger to remedy the situation, but sometimes a resolution may not be reached until after the end of the tour, or in the worst case scenario, a resolution may not be possible. During this time, we will do our best to keep you in-the-loop.***

At the end of the blog tour, we will contact you regarding the winner(s) of the giveaway (if applicable). Upon receiving the information for the winner(s), you may make the decision to either contact the winner(s) yourself, or you may ask us to contact the winner(s) for you (i.e. – to obtain their mailing address, or best email address, or desired format for an ebook, etc.)

If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know!

We look forward to hosting a blog tour for your book and hope the blog tour will generate an increased interest in your book!

Thank you!

Shannon (maechs) | 809 comments BLOGGERS

Bloggers who wish to join the e-mailing list (this will only be used to send you an email regarding new books available for blog tours) may sign up on the Blogger Sign Up Page located at:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Bloggers may view the list of existing available Making Connections Blog Tours at:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

Author Sign Up
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Any member who signs up to participate in the Making Connections Blog Tours needs to provide their name, email address, blog tour name, blog tour URL, and type of post (review, promo, interview, guest post). If you do not post on your date, you may not qualify to sign up for any more Making Connections Blog Tours.

Review Posts:
Bloggers who sign up to post a review will receive a copy of the book. By signing up to review, you are agreeing to read and review the assigned book before the start of the blog tour! If you read the book and feel you would rate the book less than 3 stars, we ask you refrain from posting your review until after the tour and we ask that you please contact us immediately and inform us of what type of post you would like to switch to (promo, interview, guest post).

Please note we must respect the authors and their generosity in sharing their books with us. Please No book sharing without the author's consent! It is ILLEGAL and we should respect the author's hard work and talent!

Further Goodreads review guidelines (and federal law) require that if you receive a free copy of a book, you must disclose that in your Goodreads review. Please make sure you are stating in your reviews if you have received the book free from the author.

If you have not received a copy of the book at least 2 weeks before the start of the tour, please email us at makingconnectionsblogtours@gmail.com and let us know so that we may follow up with the author to get you a copy ASAP!

Interviews / Guest Posts:
Bloggers who sign up to post an interview or guest post will be provided the author’s email address. It is the blogger’s responsibility to email the author to gather the information needed for the interview or guest post. If you have emailed an author and have not received a response, please let us know at least 2 weeks before the start of the blog tour so that we can attempt to remedy the situation.

Promo Posts:
You will note in the Blog Tour Sign-Up Post that we will allow for up to 3 promo posts. A promo post may include the blog tour banner (which we will create for the tour), book cover, synopsis, excerpt, links to purchase the book, author’s photo and bio, author social links, and giveaway link (if applicable). The information on a promo post is subject to the information we receive from the author (most likely this will be provided in the press/media kit). However, if spots remain vacant a week or two before the tour begins, then we will again ask bloggers if they would like to participate in the tour and we will not limit the promo posts to 3.

Reminder Email:
About a week before the tour, we will send an email to the bloggers who have signed to participate to remind them of the upcoming tour and to provide the blog tour packet. You will be asked to include all of the information provided in the blog tour packet (including giveaway link) in their post. You will also be asked to provide a direct link to your post.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know!

And Thank You from all of us at Making Connections for participating in the Blog Tours! We know they wouldn’t be possible or successful without awesome bloggers like you!

Yes! Actually, I ask you to send me the direct link to your post so I can put that on the schedule, so that anyone who sees the schedule can click on your link and be taken directly to your blog! Hope this answers your question!
