Alternative cover for earlier printing with same ISBN

Hello, I have a copy of this book by the same publisher with same ISBN, format, page numbers but it is dated 1984 and has a different cover.

Hi - not sure if something has gone wrong as I found this one with the cover I uploaded but showing all the text in German. The book was published in English in the UK. Also I forgot to mention it was a paperback not a hard cover.

Hi again! I'm not sure about the German issue... I looked at the edition with the cover you sent and it was in English. The book is in hardcover.

This is not the only edition of the book, so you may be looking at other editions that are printed in German and are not hardcover.

Really confused in that case as my copy was paperback - I've now given it to the charity shop so can't recheck any of the other info. It did have that cover though. The reason I mentioned German - the blurb on that page in Goodreads is all in German.
