Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1571 comments Many think the repentant thief on the cross next to Jesus had no time to "live for Jesus" , and he certainly did not have a lot of time. BUT , when a close examination of his salvation is made... it is AMAZING what he actually did "see" and "recognize" and "do".

Wade J. | 177 comments Good stuff. It appears to me that there's a lot of symbolism in that event. The unrepentant thief represented the world, and the repentant one shows how Jesus forgives those who call on His name.

My response: Amen! I could not believe how much is contained in this short passage...

...one thief repents
...he rebukes the unrepentant thief
...he recognizes his own guilt (getting what he deserves)
...he states that Jesus is without guilt (done nothing wrong)
...he acknowledges that Jesus is God
...he tries to evangelize the other thief
...he acknowledges that Jesus is a King
...he knows that crucifixion is not the end for Jesus (when you come into your Kingdom)
...he essentially asks Jesus for forgiveness (remember me when you come into your Kingdom)

There is a lot there!
