In my own head I pronounce it as 'Lie-ah' and 'Ehlie-us' but the audio does 'Lay-ah'. I just assume Lie-ah because it's the same spelling as Maia and that's said 'Mie-ah'.

Also Helene is 'Hell-een' in my head but it's just said 'Helen' in the audio

I have already started and read 5 chapters so far. The book started with a blast. So many things have already happened within these few chapters! I'm totally invested.

She is still immature and going through a lot, Losing her entire family in a day, wandering alone as a deserter and now being caught up in middle the rebels. That's a lot to deal with. Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I am confused what to think of Helen. I have heard such amazing things about her character, apparently everyone loves her. But she sounds so royal to the Empire. Even Elias is calling her the perfect student/soldier. (hide spoiler)]

@Blue, Yeah. You're right. Everyone loves her. I have seen so many of my friends literally falling in love with Helen. One of my GR friends even wrote a poem dedicated to her. So just imagine how popular character she is!

I think Helen is only trying to act according to the situation there. Being the only girl in the Martial Academy is obviously tough on her. So she's trying to prove herself and earn respect. Hopefully she will support Elias in whatever comes next.

But then he heard Cain and immediately changed his mind, even though all he wanted was to get away from this madness. He doesn't support the cruel beliefs and acts of the Martial Empire. Yet he's risking his freedom because of some kinda stupid prophecy.

Now Laila and Elias are exactly on the opposite sides. Can't wait to find out how the story will come together (hide spoiler)]
