Are you saying you're on the app? I'm not understanding how simply logging in would duplicate a post.

I would suggest joining the Feedback Group, where they answer all sorts of technical questions. I don't use the app myself. When you go to the post that needs to be edited, do you see any tiny blue-green edit link?

If you're viewing the mobile website or the mobile app, Goodreads doesn't let you edit your post or topic header. You need to use the desktop website to do that.

Does that describe your situation? Instead of creating a new thread, just add a comment to your original thread. Explain the change you're trying to make and a moderator will help.
