The discussion is linked to the books site and ... Well, this discussion just isn't relevant to anyone anymore :).

Tytti | 173 comments I think you can delete it yourself... There should be an edit function somewhere and there a "delete a thread". I think...

Arita (aritape) | 21 comments Yes there is, but when I click it Gr says, I do not have permission to delete anything

Tytti | 173 comments Ah, well. I guess you need to be a librarian for that (maybe, I haven't tried) but then again, only you can see the edit function in the first place... So I guess we are stuck. I smell a bug. :-P

Thread starters can only delete a thread if no one has replied to them.

And as a general rule, we don't delete completed threads here without some additional reason.

Tytti | 173 comments Shouldn't the "delete" link be removed then? Or at least give some information why it doesn't work?

message 7: by Arita (new)

Arita (aritape) | 21 comments Well, I asked to remove a thread where I ask to add a cover to one book. The question and answers (generally saying "Ok"), are linked directly to that book. Everybody sees that "discussion" on the book's page, but no-one is interested about the information the thread contains :).The work has been done.
And if people discuss more about this very good book, the "please add cover" -thread hangs on there without no meaning to anyone.

Or if you don't want to delete the whole thread, maybe it could be possible to delete the link to that book's page :)?

Arita (aritape) | 21 comments Wohoo! I was able to remove the link from the discussion thread to the book. So this uninformative discussion shows no more on the book's page.

I'm happy now, no need to delete the thread :).
