That is a tough one. I don't think I really have a Hollywood doppelganger, but I liked the way Jim Cavaziel played "Witt" in The Thin Red Line. I would probably go with him. He's much better looking than me but I suppose most leading man actors are going to be. He has some depth, too, so I think that's why I'd trust him to do a good job.

I think Winona Ryder is probably the closest since we have similar hair and eyes.

However, I'd prefer to be played by Drew Barrymore because I like her rendition of silly/goofy. Back when she was in Scream, the person I bought my movie tickets from asked if I was her ... in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma ... buying discount tickets to see her own movie? I think it must have been that I was sporting the same haircut and sweater, but I like the idea of her playing me even if I think we look only somewhat similar.

Mainly because I always loved her hair!

Ha. That's a fun one since she's obviously discovered the elixir of youth. I swear she doesn't look a day older than the last time I saw her in the '80s. Then again, maybe heavy stage makeup helps. :-)

This is me and my favorite author Brandon Sanderson....I put up the photo for comparison purposes.

I think Jack Black would do a great job portraying me...its his physique and his goofy attitude in his acting.

My youngest son swears by him, but I haven't read anything of his yet. Could you recommend one? (BTW, was the photo at the Wilkinson BS? I don't remember it having a second floor.)

Awesome.
This is a hard question. All the answers I think of are aspirational and would make me sound like I thought very highly of myself. :)
The beauty of this question is that you can either answer it realistically or unrealistically. You can aim high, low, or middle of the road. The fun thing about an autobiographical movie, too, is that you can leave out or add whatever you want. And you can be any age since it can cover a lifetime.
Also, we, being merely internet friends, don't know whether your choice is hitting the mark or not. And it doesn't really matter since it's an exercise in the imagination.

David,
Are you familiar with Provo/BYU to pick up my location based on the photo?
The Photo was taken at the BYU bookstore which is attached to the Wilkinson Student Center on campus. The Wilkinson and book store have 3 public floors...The Wilk also has three not so public work/office floors.
People who are brand new to Sanderson I recommend starting with
Mistborn: The Final Empire
It is technically book one of three however, the book stands alone nicely. After reading it you will know if you want more or if Sanderson is not your cup of tea.
