I think the limit is 25 attachments per email (to your special Kindle email address). I don't recall any commitment on how fast any of this will get done.
For example, I had 6 books in mobi format that I decided to email to my Kindle, although without the convert in the subject line. When they didn't show up quickly, I did the live chat bit and found that there was a minimum wait of 4-6 hours per book. Eventually they showed up.
Realistically, I have had much better results (with immediate read-on-Kindle access) by converting the non-mobi files to mobi (there's a free program called Calibre that does that marvelously well). Then just hooking my Kindle up to my computer with a USB cable, and treat it as an external drive and just transfer the files to it.
Just a thought or three.
Eric

I've only done this with MOBI files and some music files.
I use a Kindle Fire HD 1st generation.
I hope that helps.

Thank you! I also have a Kindle Fire HD 1st Gen, & was having trouble finding MOBI books I did manage to load on my Fire. Now I know there's an app for that.
