SOLVED. Finding a historical novel. [s]

Hi, a couple of years ago I read an historical novel about a Jewish family that owns a priceless diamond pendant. They manage to smuggle the pendant through though times, from pogroms to the 2nd World War.
I would love to read that book again, but I have no idea what the title was or who wrote it.
Anybody any idea???
