quq (190511) Logan tied off the boat, wrapping the thick rope around the dock post three times and tucking the end underneath. He still had to perfect the knot, but for now he just did it his own way. Amaya had been nagging him about it for weeks. It was nice to have a break from her; he’d sailed his clients here alone. It had been a busy weekend and Amaya had taken some people to Wintervale while he brought the others here, to Blackridge. He’d always felt that Blackridge was a hostile environment, of course, but he also felt a course of mystery flowing under all of the murder and deceit of the surface. It was interesting, but that didn’t change his initial shudders when he saw the looming city.

muuumew | 1619 comments Charlotte pushed through the crowd of people, looking very annoyed. Her short stature made it very hard to see over the people in front of her, but that wouldn't stop her conquest for sweets. Her hair was in two pigtails but they were very messy, and her bangs were a totally different story. Charlotte's favorite candy store was near the docks, which was quite a ways from the palace. This was one of the reasons why she didn't enjoy being an assistant to the palace's doctor. It was a long walk, but at least it was worth it in one way or another. A few people mumbled curses under their breath when she shoved them out of her way, while some shoved back. The docks were always a busy place. People were unloading boats, some were shopping at the few stores that were nearby, and a few thieves liked to linger nearby the cargo.

quq (190511) Logan stood up after he secured the not-knot and left it to the rest of his crew to get the passengers off. He wanted a few minutes to watch things. He noted a few menacing-looking men, and one woman. Despite the darkness, though, there was so much intrigue here. Most were dark haired, but he scanned over them for anything interesting. If he was to stay here a week to wait for potential customers, then he was certainly not going to stay bored for long. Just as he was about to return to the last passenger, he saw blue hair. Blue? He blinked, but it was still there. Weird.

muuumew | 1619 comments Charlotte felt a pair of eyes on her, and turned around. She made eye contact with a male who was near the loading area. "Do I look that bad?" She mumbled to herself, and shrugged. She turned around once more, and got in line. It was a candy stall, rather than a building. Once it was her turn, she bought a bag of sweets. She stepped away from the stall, and glared at a male who shoved past her. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Charlotte said.
