The movie was pretty good. I think the book is better though. They didn't really follow the clues that were in the book. There were a lot of different references that I was able to catch though.

I liked both the movie and the book even though they changed alot of stuff in the movie.

I've heard from others that the movie compressed everything (of course), and left out some of the fun stuff (details on the puzzles, some of the many 80s references etc).. and pretty much Hollywooded the whole thing.

But most people say the special effects (CGI) were great, and it was a decent if not faithful adaptation. Coulda been a lot worse!

I've not finished the book. I'm wondering if the book and film end exactly the same.

I still want to see the movie. Even if it’s not as good as the book. Lol! I loved the book. I thought I was going to hate it when I read it but it turned out to be pretty good.

It was fun in the movie to finally see the people behind the avatars (besides Wade, whom we met early, of course).

Does anyone have a favorite character from the book?
