That is a really good book. But, I'm a pretty big Sanderson fan.
Also, you don't have to worry about what you are reading. None of us are going to be upset because you are not reading the monthly reads. Just as long as you are having fun and you share what you are reading, so the rest of us can get a heads up on a good book!

I have heard so much about this guy, and I started Steelheart once (great), but the library loan ran out.
