Tonight at dinner .... a doe and her twin fawns enjoyed their own evening meal at the edge of our gardens before sauntering off into the woods.

We see deer just about every day. Seen bears, coyotes, and mountain lions recently.
We live in rural America so it is not unusual to see wild animals. We have had just about everything that is native here in our yard. The last thing I saw was our neighbors dog chasing a fox.

Gosh .. just look at my tbr with thousands of titles. But I recently FINALLY read The Yearling which I first heard about when I was in about 6th grade ....
I think the next oldest that's been hanging around the edges for ages is Up the Down Staircase which I first heard of in high school (sometime in the mid '60s).
