Heather almost threw down her book, but stopped herself and kept reading.

Kinsey blushed. "Sorry." She went back to her book.

Heather didn't hear her and read with an angry look on her face.

Kinsey sighed. She continued to read.

Heather placed her bookmark in her book. "Sometimes I just hate Marcia. What now?"

"I don't know." Kinsey said, shutting her own book.

"Me either." Heather said, getting up.

"I guess I'll see you around." Kinsey said, getting up too.

"Ok bye." Heather said. She waved and walked away.

Elianna plopped down a short distance away from Kinsey and began picking at a blade of grass.

Kinsey glanced at her. "Hello!"

Elianna looked up from her grass-picking, a bit startled. "Hi."

"I'm Kinsey." Kinsey smiled at the girl.

"Elianna. You can call me Ellie."

"Nice to meet you Ellie." Kinsey said.

"And you, Kinsey," Ellie smiled.

Kinsey sat back down on the grass. She closed her eyes. "Well, wake me up when school is over."

Ellie laughed. "You're pretty cool for a Slytherin."

Kinsey opened one of her eyes. "Would you rather me yell at you? I don't think so." She closed her eye.

"Sorry," Ellie said. She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"S'okay." Kinsey said. "I'm just tired." She closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

"Me, too," Ellie sighed, not realizing Kinsey was asleep.

Kinsey began to snore.

"Kinsey? Are you asleep?"

Kinsey continued to snore.

Ellie rolled her eyes. "Kinsey!"

"Wha!" Kinsey sat up and blinked. "That's the second time I've been woken up."

"You were just...asleep. And I need to talk to someone," Ellie explained.

"Oh." Kinsey rubbed her eyes. "Shoot, I have nothing to lose. Not even my dignity."

"What do you mean?" Ellie asked.

Kinsey shrugged. "Nothing. It was a joke, mainly. At least I think it was." She frowned. "Yeah, it was a joke. Go on, talk or whatever."

"I'm just sort of bored. I've surprisingly made no friends this year. Not yet, at any rate," Ellie said.

"Oh." Kinsey said. "You got me excited. I thought something dreadful had happened. Not that I would be happy if something had happened. I mean, gosh, I sound like a jerk don't I? I just mean that some excitement would be appreciated."

"I wish. All I have to occupy my mind right now is school! I don't mind, but it gets so boring without friends," Ellie flopped onto her back and moaned.

"Eh. Friends can be boring. I prefer books." Kinsey said. "Kidding. I like people to, but fictional ones are just plain better."

"Hufflepuff is a surprisingly hard house to make friends in. I haven't had anyone to talk to in forever. Even fictional characters get dull after a while."

"Unless their Percy Jackson," Kinsey corrected. "I actually happen to have a friend in Hufflepuff. Seek him out. He is like the most easy friend to make ever. In my opinion at least."

Ellie bolted upright. "Who?"

"Cant Jerad. At least, I think that is his last name." Kinsey paused. "I don't know. It could be. It could not be."

"Uh, he has black hair, and...Green eyes? I dunno." Kinsey said, opening her eyes again.
