YES I miss it so much! In restaurants at home they stir fry chunks with soy sauce and spring onions, it's like fish, but more flavoured

Smiley C | 397 comments Oh and I miss sushi so much. My English friends have only tried it in YO sushi and they think it's awful. So unfair. Sushi is much much better in Asian places like Japan, Korea or even HK. More authentic

It’s common with noodles in Thailand as well as sea cucumber
They don’t really taste of anything though just rubbery

Soooooo much more authentic. It's like the difference of mass producing with machines to a master making it homemade.

I'm not surprised in the slightest. My sister tried making avocado rolls a couple weeks ago and they were decent, but nothing like what they had there.

Caleb (caleb27) Has anyone here had calpis?

message 9426: by [deleted user] (new)

Calpis is a Japanese uncarbonated soft drink, manufactured by Calpis Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Asahi Breweries headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. The beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla flavored yogurt or Yakult. Wikipedia

message 9427: by [deleted user] (new)

message 9431: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Just made some spot on German pancakes.

message 9432: by [deleted user] (new)

In Germany?

message 9433: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) No, in America. Do you know what a German pancake is?

message 9434: by [deleted user] (new)

no but it sounds cool

message 9435: by [deleted user] (new)

is it like a regular pancake?

message 9436: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (caleb27) Not really no. My recipe is just mix 4 eggs, 2/3 cup flour, 2/3 cup milk, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Then you butter a cast iron skillet and put it in the oven while the oven heats up to 400 degrees. When preheated you take out the pan, put in the mix and cook for 15-20 min. Then you take it out, lower the oven to 350 degrees and bake for another ten.

It's more like a quiche than anything.

message 9437: by [deleted user] (new)

thats sounds so good but i could never do that😂

message 9438: by [deleted user] (new)

too many directions

message 9440: by [deleted user] (new)

message 9441: by [deleted user] (new)

Irn-Bru is a Scottish carbonated soft drink, often described as "Scotland's other national drink". It is produced in Westfield, Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, by A.G. Barr of Glasgow. Wikipedia
