I wouldn't say quickly, I read some chapters before but I only started reading it maybe 10 days ago, at the time I had no other book and it's not boring at all if you get thru the first chapters.And now I'm talking about another book in this buddy read, I'm completely messing it up XD

Well if you read 1000 pages in these days I'm pretty sure you can continue with TFoTR now and still finish before Bhavik :P
