We get plenty of examples of Don's quirky character in the first few chapters of the book. It is never outright stated in the book that Don may have Asperger's Syndrome. It is left up to the reader to draw that conclusion themselves based on his behaviour.
Did you like this inconclusive approach to our introduction to Don or do you think it would have worked better to address the issue in a more straightforward way?
I rather liked that the reader was left to make their own assumptions about Don's behaviour. It allowed us to enjoy his oddities and laugh at them instead of focusing on the Aspergers itself. It allowed Don to just be quirky Don instead of Don who has Aspergers Syndrome.
