Don't tell me... :O (hide spoiler)] Um, well, I, only watch anime and Disney movies (come on, they're awesome) most of the time so no Supernatural or Sherlock references for me. And I suck at drawing, doing mental calculations, singing, dancing but I'm pretty good at the art of sarcasm (which is accompanied by the really bad habit of saying "shit")...



And uh, just to avoid confusion, I'm Asian, soooo I might not understand the American school system and everything else like apartments and public transport issues.

So, Miss Sia, you just joined not long ago to this group as well, huh? I'm currently under the debate of what directions to take my first set of characters. How comes your creations?

Yeah, just yesterday. Well, I'm still working on my first character. I'm trying to do my Ickens first, since the last time I checked the characters list, there aren't any Ickens at all. And once I'm done with my female character, I'll have to start on some males. There's only one male student here and I'm not so sure if there's anybody working on a male student currently. Your plans?

I thought there were two Ickens in the female characters? Those are blades, right? Always a good start.

Well, I'm under debate right now. I like the idea of making twins, brother and sister, who both happened into this...sort of art. Though, Fiend had mentioned it was not favored to have siblings being enrolled due to possible compromise issues. If not siblings, I was considering childhood friends maybe and still came into this line of life. But, then there is the option of making them not known to each other at all. But I'm a fan of having my characters intertwine with others. What is your opinion?

So you want them to know each other, but aren't that close so they wouldn't have problems? Then they could have divorced parents, so they would have been close during their childhood days but grew wider apart over the years. This also means that they would have different histories and they wouldn't be too alike, even as twins. Though making them different might make it more of a coincidence that they got into Ymira Academy. (But that's only a problem if you're bothered by sheer coincidences.)

Oh! That idea would have been perfect! But alas, I decided to go about it differently. They aren't related, but they are close. Hopefully that will still be okay. I'm not quite sure if Fiend will mind. Merp, their histories will explain why they are rather close once I get it all made up.

Thank you. (You mean stalking? Well, it's a bummer but I'm not allowed anywhere near the internet on weekdays so it'd be about five more days before I can come back onto Goodreads to continue progressing.) Well, I usually make my characters related too, but for now most of the characters I have in mind aren't related. As for their relationships with other characters, I haven't thought of that yet. The character I'm working on now is the bullying type, so she doesn't have any friends. And she joined Ymira Academy when most of the students her age were already in ninth grade, which would be one year ago, so she doesn't exactly fit in yet. Another grew up as a drug dealer, so she grew up trying to minimize contact with others, her mother is the only exception. So she's an odd, socially awkward one. (I'm still thinking about the rest.)

Awe, that sucks! And yes, that is indeed what I meant to spell lol. Me and spelling do not meet eye to eye at all times. A bully and a drug dealer, sounds like the starts to something of this nature. I'm glad your sticking from the easy, but useful idea of the parents being either killers themselves or high trained military ops. Dont get me wrong, those can make great backgrounds and explain why the child would be trained so well, but it's nice to see children getting exposed in another fashion, that's for sure.

Yeah, the first grew into a bully because of an abusive father and the other had to resort to drug dealing because she hasn't even graduated from high school yet but needs to support her family after her father's unexpected death. What about your characters? Have you decided anything?

Hmm...here is what Im thinking. But this is brief and doesnt explain much at all really...

Sadly, I'm leaning towards a minor cliche, but hoping it twists a bit. I planning on having Hollis abducted at around the age of eight and sold to an "organization" overseas, forced to do their bidding and undergo any for of experiments, rather medical or mental it did not matter. But over the years, Hollis learned the skills he needed to do what had to be done to save himself from this place of hell. But it wasn't just his skills that would see him out.

A friend he made was to help. Nadia was started out in the same sort of work as Hollis was forced to do, but after the untimely death of a higher up's daughter, Nadia was taken as a 'replacement' for the daughter. Sick, yes, but the man himself was sick and this was the way he planned to deal with his daughter's passing, replacing her with a similar face. As the years passed for Nadia, she gained a much different, but rather valuable set of skills, and she also gained trust--something she should never have been given. Using this trust, she helped Hollis get just enough freedom to start his onslaught of those that stood in their way.

After they escaped, things should have gotten better, yes? No...the participial orginzation that held them, had a strong pull in the world and was only a small part of a bigger project. As such, the two were hunted and when they were not found, they were punished. How? By the death of their families. So, with only each other and still at a tender age of fifteen, the two had to survive on their own. But the idea of revenge stirred in their minds, as well as the need to survive. What better why to survive and gain revenge than by killing those responsible for all this and taking their assets?

Honestly, I've done that kind of character before, but it seems a little wild. It's true that people do abduct children and sell them off, that part is realistic and what Nadia went through is also pretty real. The thing is, the experimenting part has be reused so many times. Unless you want Hollis and Nadia to be "mutated" slightly, then you should probably change the experimenting part with something else. Like maybe manual labor? You learn skills from that too, and it makes them physically stronger and more durable (which helps when they're assassins or on the run).

Also, you mentioned that the organization was part of a bigger project, with a lot of influence over many parts of the world. So maybe two untrained fifteen-year-olds killing them all is a little impossible?

I didn't mean to imply those sorts of experiments :). I meant more along the lines of these: (view spoiler)[ When put into a strenuous environment, what would happen? How about exposing them to life or death scenarios? Would a mere child adapt and meet the requirements to live? Would he or she adjust and learn how to do what it takes? How would this differ from girl to boy? Could difficult skills be quickly learned if needed? The questions and experiments to answer them go onward, and Hollis was a part of these tests. The trails he was put through were unspeakable, and the things he had to do to live the same. (hide spoiler)]

This isn't exactly common, but nor is it something unheard of. It's known that the children change based on what sort of enviorment they grow up in. And these experiments are targeted to just what sort of change a child will make when introduced to different scenarios, how fast they will change, what it will take to push them to desperate measures, what skills can be learned and how well, and so forth. Basically, can children be fully engineered to be a certain sort of being. In Hollis and Nadia's cause, can they be trained to survive at all cost, what can they learn and how fast, and what sort of mental state will they maintain through it all.

Now what do you think?

Also, I didn't say they would be killing them all ;) Just key ones they deemed responsible for their lives. They were being trained to kill or be killed, so I think the adaptations they gained over seven years of continuous training and what not would suggest them capable of killing off a few folks :D.

Now that you've explained and I've read it, it seems pretty cool. :) And the Acklin Organization sounds like something I want in the plot. ^-^ ((You might want to double check your history for grammar and spelling, though. I think I spotted a few minor mistakes here and there. But otherwise, it seems ready to go.))

I'm glad you approve of it after fully seeing it :D. I didn't think how misconstrued the original blurb I posted could be. I'm going to see what Fiend and them think of it, but if they like it, I'll possibly talk to them about ways to employ the Acklin Organization as a danger to the school. But, one think I know that would be neat is if a mission was to kill someone, and on said mission Hollis crosses path with one of the men that worked over his file and researched him. So things go down fast.

Ha, yeah, no, I'm sure there are a few spelling errors, if not a lot, as well as minor grammar errors here and there. Being I haven't went to bed and it is now...seven am, I expected more than normal lol. I also blame my keyboard. A puppy took to digging on it and took out some of the keys D:. But I make do!

So, do you not have internet sunday through thursday nights and get it friday and saturday?

No, I don't have it from Monday to Friday. Maybe if I behave up to my parents' expectations, they might give me a few hours on the net on Friday night. And even on Saturdays and Sundays I have limited time. Like now. I have to give it back in four minutes and I won't get to see it till Saturday. It's now Sunday, 7:56 PM. I live in Asia, so there's usually a twelve-hour gap between me and most people on Goodreads.

I went back to work on characters for this group... and realized I wanted to start from scratch. The only problem is, I have no idea what kind of character I want them to be >.<

I already have a teacher (Daniel) and a student (Sadie), and I'm still happy with those.
It's just the unfinished ones that have me stuck :P

Oh - sorry. Both are from Booth, right? So you could start with another division. Maybe Icken. I don't think a lot of people have made teachers or students for that division yet - though I'm just relying on the outdated approved list.

Anyway, I checked - more like skimmed through - most of the students made. A lot of them have parents which are from the military or have the jobs of being an assassin. I think it's cool and it explains why their child would end up in Ymira Academy, a school for assassins and cold-blooded killers. But it seems overused, so if you use that idea, you'd have to change it a little.

As for the personality of the character, I usually get to that once I've planned out a history - which I can't think of one now, so sorry. I'll keep trying and get to you once I've found my light-bulb. :) Do you have anything in mind, by the way?
