"Yeah well, that's what I meant. We just can't let it shock you," Hailey replied, looking at it for a moment. She couldn't even see a spot that it would come off...She hoped Jess would be able to mess with it. Sighing heavily, she looked up at the top of the Birdcage. Maybe there was something up there that would help them, though she had looked at it before and it didn't seem like it...

Nick nodded. “Yeah. Though I wonder. It’s a pretty good electricity source. So Jess might be able to use it for power to knock other stuff out. I dunno.” He mumbled, staying close to Hailey. He glanced around for where Kai had gone.

"Maybe," Hailey replied, about to go and take a look at the Birdcage when she seemed to notice exactly what Nick did."Where's Kai?" She looked at Jess as she asked this, not seeing him.

“Probably in the trees. It’s a safe spot to him.” Jess commented. “Do you want to talk to him?” She offered, willing to go find him. Kai liked to stay in the trees when he didn’t want to be with the others, it gave him some space and it was the only privacy they could really get it seemed.

Nick nodded. “Yeah. Might be good to make sure he’s willing to help and all that.”

"Oh okay. Yeah I'll go look for him," Hailey replied with a nod, using her levitation to go up closer to the trees. She scanned around for the guy, hoping that he would be as easy to convince as Jess was.

Kai was perched in one of the trees. Once the doctors and Riggs had left, he’d decided to go up there and get some space as he tried to wrap his mind around what the doctors had done. He glanced over when he saw Hailey.

Nick sat down and let Jess examine his collar.

Hailey noticed him after a second and she moved over closer to him, dropping down lightly on the tree branch with him."Hey. Are you okay?"

Kai nodded. “Yeah. Just processing.” He admitted. “Are you doing alright?” He asked, imagining she had to be in a pretty rough spot with everything.

Hailey nodded at his words, then smiled just slightly."No, not really. But..." She just shrugged, not wanting to say it would be okay or it would work out right now. Cause she wasn't sure it was going to."Anyways, I talked to Jess. She said she's willing to help us out and come with us. I was wondering what you're thoughts and opinions are on maybe doing the same."

Kai glanced over at her. “I can’t guarantee that I’ll be much help. But I’ll follow Jess. So if she’s going then I’ll go too.” He assured quietly before glancing away.

"It doesn't matter if you're help or not really. Like if you don't wanna fight or whatever. I just don't want to leave you guys here," Hailey replied to him, bringing her knees up to her chest. Her stomach ache was coming back again now, but not as bad as earlier. She would probably need to lie down soon though.

Kai nodded. “I appreciate that. When he, nick got here, he seemed set on just getting you two out. I’m glad you’re not planning on leaving us behind.” He replied quietly, watching her for a moment. “And I’m sorry about Riggs and the obvious tension between him and you and all that.”

Hailey nodded."He still is. I think if I didn't tell him I wanted you guys to come with us, he would be content with just us getting out. But I don't wanna do that." She furrowed her eyebrows at his words about Riggs though, figuring he was apologizing for him sort of siding with the doctors, but his words made it sound like he was apologizing for something else too.

Kai nodded. “That makes sense. So thanks for wanting to take us too.” He told her. He hoped it’d be easy as they made it sound for them all to get out and away from there. He tilted his head at her when she seemed a bit perplexed. “What’s up?”

Hailey nodded, then just shrugged at his question."Just...what did you mean when you said the obvious tension between me and Riggs and stuff?" Was he talking about Riggs liking her too? Did he really? She still had her doubts about that, even though it was a possibility she supposed...

Kai shrugged. “Just like that first week. Before nick showed up. Riggs and you seemed very close and he was very touchy. Then nick arrives and it’s literally like a fight between him and Riggs over who gets to be near you.” He explained softly, not believing that Hailey didn’t notice it all.

Hailey listened, blushing a little bit through his explanation. Okay, she had really noticed that, that was true...The two of them seem to be at one another throats quite often, especially whenever Riggs tries to talk to Hailey."Has he told you anything? Riggs I mean."

Kai shook his head slightly. “No. He doesn’t really talk to us all that much about stuff like that. He’s closer with the doctors than us it seems.” He explained, looking over at her. “He was here before I got here. and before Jess got here too.” He added.

Hailey frowned a bit, wondering why that was. She couldn't imagine being close with any doctor. But...if he was here for sure a long time, well, that was sorta the first family that he knew. So maybe that was why."Okay....I'll try to ask him about it maybe. If he isn't siding with them when he gets back anyways."

Kai nodded. “Alright. Jess and I can try to keep nick busy then, give you a chance. We’ve gotta look at that collar anyways and see if we can get it off.” He commented, thinking out loud. He shifted how he sat on the branch to look around at the others.

Hailey nodded her head, hoping they would be able to get that damn collar off of Nick. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, looking up at the Birdcage again."I'm gonna try and see if there's a weak spot."

Kai nodded. "Alright." He let her go fly around, heading down to the ground. He spoke quietly with Jess about how to help convince Riggs and make sure they'd be able to get out and away.

Hailey flew around the top of the Birdcage for a bit, looking for anything that she thought might be able to work with getting them out of there. As she had seen before, it was pretty much locked down tight so she wasn't quite sure if they would be able to get out that way like they had managed back at the School they were from. While she was flying, her nausea really started to pick up again so she went and and sat down on her cot, holding her stomach as she tried to not barf up the little amount of food and drink she had in her system.

Kai chatted a bit with Jess before letting them be.

Jess was still sitting with nick when Hailey returned, looking over the collar around his neck.

Nick glanced up at Hailey. “How are you feeling Hailey?” He asked her faintly, biting his lip. He was worried about her but was pissed too so he tried to keep calm and chill out.

Hailey looked at Nick when he asked that and shrugged her shoulders gently."Stomach hurts." She took a couple of deep breaths in hopes of calming it down, not asking Nick to come over with her though. They needed to figure out how to get the collar off.

Nick nodded. He shifted away from Jess and got up, coming over to her instead. The collar was a priority but nothing was more important than Hailey’s health. He sat by her and held his arms out in an offer to hold her. “Has any of the food or medicine helped?”

Hailey was going to tell Nick to stay where he was, but figured he wouldn't listen anyways. He doesn't typically like to. She did move into his arms when it was offered, resting her head on his shoulder."No, the medicine isn't working right now."

Nick nodded and held her close. “Okay. Wanna lay down, try and rest?” He suggested faintly, hating that he didn’t know how to help her get through this.

"No no, I just need a second," Hailey replied, kinda sick of laying down. It what she's been doing for days now. Sighing heavily, she just rested on Nick and closed her eyes, reaching and taking one of his hands.

Nick nodded and stayed close to her. “We’ll get out soon. Then it’ll be better.” He promised faintly. He rubbed her side gently.

Hailey relaxed there with Nick for a while, her stomach ache fading a bit, but never exactly going away. She had nearly fallen asleep in his arms when the doors opened up and Riggs came back. Riggs looked at them all and just went over to his cot without saying a word, kicking his feet up on it and looking up at the top of the Birdcage.

Nick snuggled with her until Riggs came in. He glanced to the others before carefully getting up and going over to Riggs. They didn't get along but he felt like he needed to try and convince Riggs. "Hey. Can we talk?" He asked quietly.

Hailey watched as Riggs came in, sitting up a bit so that Nick could go and talk to him. Why didn't he even say anything?

Riggs glanced up when Nick came over and rolled his eyes, turning his head towards the corner of the Birdcage."Only if you look like you're angry at me when you talk. And if you turn your body a little bit to the right."

Hailey heard his words and furrowed her eyebrows, looking over at Jess. What....was he talking about?

Nick shook his head. "Yeah, no. I'm gonna look and face how I want." He said calmly, crossing his arms a bit as he watched him.

Jess frowned as she watched the guys together. She came over to Hailey. "He give you any warning about that?" She questioned softly.

Kai sighed at Riggs and Nick before heading over and joining them. He felt that there had to be some sort of mediator between them so they wouldn't kill each other.

Riggs looked over at him just slightly, keeping his head a little bit down though."Hey asshole, I'm trying to get you to look away from the damn cameras. Like I told you, they don't have audio, but they can read our lips if they want. I don't want them to start thinking we're all buddy buddy. So turn the way that I told you."

Hailey shook her head at Jess, listening to their conversation and she raised an eyebrow a bit. Oh! That's what he was doing? So...was he trying to help them? Or was he against them? She didn't start looking around the place for the cameras, figuring Riggs knew where they all were.

Nick rolled his eyes but cooperated, shifting how Riggs told him. It was a risk but he had to take it. They'd need Riggs help to get out, especially if they couldn't get his damn collar off. "Better?" He mumbled lowly, stepping back a bit.

Jess shrugged. "Huh, alright. Well Kai is monitoring them to make sure they don't swing at each other. So I guess we can see where that goes?" She suggested, looking over at Hailey.

Riggs gave a small glance in his direction before just giving a small scoff, as if Nick had said something he didn't like."Better. I talked with the doctors, Dr. Lee was the one that did everything with Hailey and was mainly the one who made the decision to go through with it. The plan was like you said, figure out what kinda babies you guys would make, specifically you and her."

"Yeah I guess," Hailey replied, keeping her head a little bit bent down as well since she had no idea where the cameras were. She just kept an eye on them and listened to what they were saying.

Nick nodded. "Yeah, they've been plotting that for a while. We got away, it bought us some time but we were caught along with one of the other girls of our flock and they started working towards that for the goal. Dr. Lee decided to bring the samples here apparently to continue their experimentation." He muttered. "But it's not right. Hailey is being forced into this." He added. It was easy for him to seem upset since it wasn't an act. He just let his actual anger show through.

"I know, I'm mad at what they did too. Makes me think about other things that they've done without us knowing," Riggs replied, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly,"I can stay on the inside with them, work with them a bit, I told them that I would. That way I can figure a way to get you guys out of here. Nick act like you're gonna hit me and Kai hold him back."

Nick tensed up at the notion. "We don't want to leave you behind here Riggs." He replied though his voice turned a bit more tense and agitated. His mind immediately came up with countless reasons to want to punch Riggs so he tried to, putting in enough effort to make it look realistic but giving Kai a chance to stop him.

Kai got between Nick and Riggs, easily playing along and pushing Nick back away from Riggs. "Enough. You can't kill each other yet."

"I didn't realize me coming with you was on the table," Riggs replied, staying still as Nick acted like he was going to hit him, though he wasn't sure how much of it was actually an act. He sat up them and glared up at him."First priority is getting you out of here. If I can make it too them so be it. If not, oh well."

Hailey winced at the play, getting up and moving over to Nick and touching his back. It was something she would do after all.

Nick shook his head. "That's not how my flock works. We don't ditch our own." He muttered lowly, still tense and struggling a bit against Kai until Hailey touched him. As always, that was enough to relax him slightly so he let Kai go and backed up slightly.

"I'm not your Flock," Riggs pointed out to him, not sure why he was so set on taking him with him. He didn't even like him."I'm not saying I won't go. I'm saying if it comes down to if I can't come with you, then I won't. I would rather get all of you out and deal with whatever I need to here." He stood up then, getting a little bit in Nick's face just to make it look like they were actually in an argument."I hope that works for you, cause it's what we're gonna have to do right now. We can't drag this conversation much longer."

Nick glared a bit, shaking his head at him. "We'll sort it later." He agreed quietly. He knew Riggs was right that this would have to wait and that it'd be better sorted out with Hailey going between them most likely. He backed down, bowing his head ever so slightly to Riggs before turning to Hailey. "It's alright love." He promised, taking her hand.

Riggs stayed standing as Nick backed away a bit, putting on the show that he was still mad at him before he flopped back down on his cot where he had been previously.

Hailey nodded, glancing at Riggs. She didn't wanna leave him behind, she wasn't even sure why he was presenting that as an option...Though maybe she sorta did. She took his hand back and lead him back over to her cot, sitting down with him.

Kai glanced over at Riggs. "You alright?" He asked as well, running a hand through his hair and watching him for a moment.

Nick leaned closer to Hailey, rubbing her hand gently. "We'll take him with." He promised faintly, kissing her cheek. He knew they were gonna have to act quickly which meant they needed a plan and soon.

"I guess," Riggs replied with a shrug, not really though. He was very confused and, honestly, pretty hurt. He felt like his entire life was a lie now, living with these people who were lying to them their entire lives...That really sucked.

Hailey nodded her head a the promise, smiling at the kiss that she got. She still hated that things had gone the way that they did, she hated that she was pregnant against her will.

Kai nodded and sat near him. “Wanna talk about it?” He offered quietly. He knew they were all pretty stressed and everything from learning everything they’d been told was a lie.

Nick rubbed her side gently. “I’ll get us home to the flock. And them too.” He promised with a nod to the others.
