Hailey didn't opened her eyes when Nick spoke to her, just turned her head slightly in his direction."What're you talking about?" She asked this quietly, not wanting to raise her voice too much cause that sorta made it hurt worse. Also she was not able to put two and two together right now, she was in far too much discomfort.

Nick sighed faintly but stayed close to her. “Getting you pregnant.” He reminded her in a faint whisper, watching her worriedly. “Nausea, you feeling just a bit off, kinda makes sense. Plus, you’ve been here about 6 weeks...” he explained.

Hailey furrowed her eyebrows at Nick's words, not at all thinking it was possible that was the case. She thought about it for a second before she opened her eyes slowly and a look of panic was on them."Jess? What's today's date?" She sat up a little as she said this, despite her stomach hurting even worse when she did this.

Nick shifted and gently wrapped his arms around her to steady her when she sat up slightly. He didn’t want her getting sick or passing out or anything so he wanted to be close.

Jess thought for a moment before telling her the date.

Hailey's look of panic spread even further when Jess told her the date and she looked over at Nick. Her mouth was suddenly dry as hell and she was white as a ghost."I missed my period. I was suppose to get it by now..."

Nick nodded. He had a vague idea of when her period was, usually noticing her mood change and everything. “Okay. Then. It’s possible I guess.” He mumbled quietly, rubbing her side. He chewed his bottom lip a bit.

Hailey started panicking even more, her breathing getting heavier. What if she was actually pregnant?! There was no reason for her to get sick like this, she hadn't done anything so...what else could it be?!"Jess, go get Dr. Wu. Now, please."

"What's the matter?" Riggs asked, looking in between Nick and Hailey. They had been speaking too quietly for him to hear them.

"I don't know, I don't know if....," Hailey shook her head, putting her hand on her stomach again.

Jess nodded and headed out to get dr Wu, grateful she was allowed inside to go to call or get them from one of the offices. “Hey Dr. Wu?” She called out, approaching the office.

Nick put his hand over Hailey’s gently. “Deep breaths love. It’ll be alright.” He reassured, trying to help keep her from getting sick or passing out.

Dr. Wu had been filling out some papers when Jess came into the room, looking up when she heard her and smiling brightly."Yes honey?"

"No no it's not alright, it is very very far from alright Nick," Hailey said, shaking her head. Honestly, that was the most that Hailey had sounded like, well, Hailey since Nick had gotten here. She had gotten rather soft and tame from her time in here, not all fierce like she normally was. So this was something.

“Can you come? Hailey asked me to come get you.” Jess explained.

“No. It’s extremely fucked up. But we’re gonna get out and it’ll be okay.” He promised, holding her close. “I should’ve been here sooner to keep you safe.”

"Yeah of course sweetie," Dr. Wu said, standing up from her spot and hurrying down to the Birdcage. She had been aware of Hailey feeling sick recently, so the she imagined the medicine wasn't working so well for her at the present moment.

"This can't fucking be happening," Hailey said, feeling like she wanted to cry, but she wouldn't. No no, she wouldn't do that. At least not yet. She looked up when Jess and Dr. Wu got back and something in her just snapped. She glared at the doctor who was coming over to help her and got to her feet right away, hurrying over to her. But she did not greet her kindly, instead she grabbed her shoulders and shoved her roughly into the wall."What the hell did you do to me?!" She shouted at the woman, pure rage on her face.

Dr. Wu yelped when Hailey practically pushed her against the wall and held her there, looking at the girl in confusion."Hailey, what's going on?! What's the matter?!"

"You know what the fuck is the matter! You did an operation on me, that was the only time that I was unconscious! By you! What the fuck did you do?!" she demanded, slamming her into the wall again.

Jess went back with her, staying back a bit. She frowned at Hailey’s sudden outburst. She was about to get involved but she’d sorta overheard Hailey’s conversation with nick and was on her side. She went over to kai and spoke softly to him.

Nick held Hailey until she scrambled to her feet. He followed easily after her, ready to grab Dr. Wu if Hailey needed his help but she seemed to have it under control.

"H-Hailey, I don't know what you're talking about!" Dr. Wu said, not wanting to be rough with the girl. She had never seen her so angry before though.

"Bullshit!" Hailey yelled, again slamming her into the wall roughly,"What did you do to me!?"

"I fixed the bone in your shoulder, that's all I did!" Dr. Wu said, tears beginning to form in her eyes,"I fixed up your shoulder a-a-and put in a tracking chip like they told me to! That's it!"

"You're lying!" Hailey shouted, digging her nails a bit into the woman's shoulders.

"No I'm not, Hailey! Please, I'm not lying!" Dr. Wu begged.

"Hailey, oh my God!" Riggs shouted, getting up and going over to them,"Let her the fuck go, what is wrong with you?! She didn't do anything!"

"I'm pregnant!" Hailey shouted at Riggs, turning her head to look at him,"I'm pregnant and I've never had sex before! Now how the fuck do you think that can happen?! Huh?! The only way is these assholes did it when I wasn't aware! And that time was with this bitch!" Dr. Wu at this point was crying, biting her bottom lip to keep her sobs somewhat contained.

Nick glared at dr Wu. “You lied to us. You said that you guys were nothing like the other school that we were at and yet you continued the same fucking experiment.” He snapped lowly. He partially wished for chastity to be there to control dr Wu but he felt like he could handle her. If only he had a weapon or didn’t have the stupid collar.

Hailey turned her attention to the woman again and raised her hand to her when she was suddenly stopped. She looked over to see Dr. Lee and his assistant there, looking at them."Hailey, Hailey, no need for violence dear, look what you've done to poor Dr. Wu."

Dr. Wu moved as soon as she was let go, Riggs gathering her up in his arms and giving the crying woman a hug.

Nick tried to grab dr Wu when Hailey let her go but was stopped by a sharp shock. He froze for a moment until he could see straight again before stepping protectively between Hailey and dr lee. “It wasn’t her. It was him.” He muttered, glaring. He shot a glance to Jess and Riggs, hoping they’d back him up. “Back at the Death Valley facility, reproductive samples were taken from myself, Hailey and one of the other girls in my flock with the intention of getting the girls pregnant to see the viability and potential of our offspring. This facility has apparently chosen to continue that experiment despite your brainwashed beliefs that they won’t cause harm as long as you cooperate.” He explained, shooting a pointed glance to Riggs.

Riggs looked at Nick as he explained this to him, furrowing his eyebrows. He looked down at Dr. Wu and then over at Dr. Lee."What is he talking about?"

Dr. Lee looked over at Riggs and smiled that fake smile at him."I've spoken to you quite often about progress Riggs. How everything that we do with you kids is about progress for a better future...Including this." He motioned to Hailey as he said this.

Hailey glared daggers at the doctor, trying to move, but the assistant still was using her powers on her."Progress my ass! You shouldn't get to mess with peoples lives like this! Something like this should be my choice, not yours!"

Nick glanced to Riggs. “they don’t give a shit about us. We’re simply a means to an end.” He told him quietly, hoping this all would help sway them. He turned and stalked closer to Dr. Lee since his assistant hadn’t grabbed him yet.

"I-I-I don't know anything about that," Dr. Wu stuttered, sobbing loudly as she tried wiping at her tears.

"Oh Amanda knew nothing of it. I injected Hailey once the doctor was finished with her operation," Dr. Lee replied, smiling at the group of them,"I'm very anxious to see that sort of child that will be produced. I thank the wonderful scientist that brought me your samples everyday Nick. That child is almost guaranteed to be great."

Hailey furrowed her eyebrows. What? Someone from the School in Califor is made it over here with those? She would have thought they'd been destroyed."So you used...that? On me?"

"Yes sweetheart, exactly," Dr. Lee replied, seeming quite impressed with himself.

Nick cursed lowly at him. “You were the one who did that. All that. Forcing another hybrid to hold me down so you could just fuck with us.” He muttered. He hesitated for a second before launching himself at dr lee, wanting to kill him.

Dr. Lee stood there as Nick went to attack him, just grinning at him. It seemed his assistant was going to stop him for she shifted, but there was suddenly a wall of water in between Nick and Dr. Lee.

Riggs was, of course, the cause of this. He had let go of Dr. Wu and manipulated the water from the pond."Stop. Just stop it. I wont let you attack him."

Nick glared, staring at the wall of water for a moment. He instead went and grabbed dr Wu, putting an arm around her throat and seeming to threaten to kill her. Riggs couldn’t completely stop him.

Jess went up to Riggs. “Let him fight. He’s got every reason to be angry. This isn’t okay..” she said softly.

Nick leaned his head close to dr Wu. “I know It wasn’t you. But they won’t listen to me. So you need to help us. Please.” He whispered faintly, holding her still.

Jess shook her head. “Still. You’d rather defend the doctors than Hailey?” She questioned.

Dr. Wu sobbed as Nick held her, hearing his words, but that didn't really make her calm down anymore. She stopped struggling against him, but her crying continued.

"I don't really wanna defend anyone right now, I just want to hear what they need to say," Riggs said, looking at Dr. Lee,"I just want to talk."

Dr. Lee nodded at Riggs, looking over at Nick."Let go of the poor doctor, won't you boy?"

Jess shook her head. “whatever. I’m with Hailey. This is insane..” she muttered lowly, going over to the other girl.

Nick glared at dr lee and shook his head. “No thanks..” he replied lowly, holding the doctor tightly. He knew he was probably hurting her but he had to use what leverage he could get.

Hailey was still being held still by the woman, since as soon as she was let go, she was going to try and attack somebody. She was just glaring daggers at the two doctors.

Dr. Lee sighed heavily and reached into his pocket, pulling out the remote for the collar around Nick's neck."Now Nick, be smart. You know we have the upper hand here. I don't want to hurt you, any of you. Just let Amanda go."

Jess hesitated before reaching and bruising her hand against Hailey’s in a silent show of support.

Nick tensed a bit at the threat of the remote but he held onto Dr Wu. “I could kill her. Rip her throat out.” He threatened faintly.

"And I could have my assistant break Haileys arm, but neither of us want that," Dr. Lee said with a smile, moving his finger closer to the button,"Let her go Nick. You need her to take care of Hailey during her pregnancy."

Hailey tried her darndest to move, even a little bit. Tried using her powers even, but it was no use. She couldn't do a thing. She gave a glance in Jess' direction, then looked back at the doctors.

Nick glared a bit at dr Lee. He looked back to Dr Wu and whispered lowly. “You better help us. You know this isn’t right.” He mumbled before letting her go and shoving her slightly away from him. “There. Now let Hailey go.” He said, approaching Hailey.

Jess glanced to the doctors. “Please let her go. I’ll make sure she doesn’t come at you.” She pleaded.

Dr. Wu listened to his words, stumbling when she was pushed. She sniffled and moved over to the doctors right away, going right over to Riggs, who had walked over next to them.

Dr. Lee watched as he let go of her, giving a nod to his assistant, who stopped using her powers on Hailey.

Hailey felt it as soon as she was let go and she did try to go forward, held back by Jess of course though."I'm gonna fucking kill you. You hear me?!"

Nick moved and gently wrapped his arms around Hailey, holding her back so Jess wouldn’t have to. He let her yell and curse at them though, feeling the exact same way. He glanced to Dr Wu. “I strongly suggest you all get out of here, now.” He told them lowly.

The 4 of them did exit the Birdcage after a moment, Dr. Wu looking at Hailey and Nick the whole way out. She felt awful...

Hailey glared and glared at them until they were gone, only then did she stop struggling against Nick."Son of a bitch!" She cussed loudly, running her fingers through her hair and trying to calm down, but it wasn't working out to well. She was pregnant....pregnant.

Nick watched them until they left before loosening his hold on Hailey. “We’ll get revenge. And we’re going to get out of here.” He promised softly. “I will keep you safe.” He added. He was still tense and pissed off but he felt like he had to push that aside to help Hailey first.

Hailey listened to Nick's words, she was just so overcome with rage and anger. She couldn't believe this was happening to her...it was bullshit! Shaking her head, she looked down at her stomach and, with a shaky hand, touched it. There was a human growing in there? Really?

Nick moved and gently put a hand over hers on her stomach. He stayed close to her and tried to calm down a bit, glancing to the others as he tried to figure out how to convince them to help them get out. “We’ll get out and finish them all off for good..”

She missed all of them a lot and, right now, she was actually really craving one of Faye's talks. The girl, as much as they seemed to disagree on sometimes, really was good at making someone feel better. She leaned on Nick a bit for support and looked at Jess."What's going on with Riggs? Why did he seem to side with them?"

Nick held her up, rubbing her side gently as she talked to Jess. He shifted and tested his head on her shoulder.

Jess shrugged. “We’ve been here since we were pretty little. Like 5 years old little. They treat him well so he sides with them. I don’t think he understands that they’re not quite what they say...”

Hailey sighed, nodding. When you were treated so well by people from so young, she supposed she could understand where he was coming from. But still, she wanted to change his mind. How would you feel about busting out with us?" She directed this question to both Jess and Kai, though Kai hadn't really sided with her per say. He hadn't said anything so she didn't know where he stood.

Jess shrugged. “They’ve done something questionable stuff but I believed in them. But what they did to you. That’s. That’s fucked up. I don’t want to be just some incubator for their future experiments. So I’ll help you get out. And come with if you’ll take me.”’she explained softly. “Kai will probably come too. He’s just a bit freaked out too I think. That’s why he’s staying back.”

Nick stayed close to Hailey, still calming down.

Jess shrugged. “I’ve never tried but I think it’d be possible.” She agreed quietly, thinking about it. She hadn’t used her abilities on more than super basic electronics but it couldn’t be that hard.

"Okay. If you had to guess, how long do you think it would take to open a door?" Hailey asked. If she got all of them together, they could protect her while she worked her magic. But she also had to take into consideration that she had no idea what abilities everyone here might have. It seemed even the doctors might have some...And, worse, some of them might be totally innocent, like Dr. Wu. She didn't exactly want to hurt innocent people. Well, as innocent as someone could be going experiments on children.

Jess tried to think, glancing at the key card spot near the door and trying to sort out what she could. “Definitely less than a minute on the key card slots. Probably 30 seconds or less. I don’t know about the ones that are the card and a code though.” She mumbled

Hailey nodded, thinking about that. 30 seconds was a lot of time when they were going to have dozens of people coming after them, and they were able to immobilize the best fighter they had. She squeezed Nick's hand a bit and looked back at him."We need to get that collar off of you." It would prevent him from using his abilities she imagined, cause if he was invisible and they shocked him, he would probably no longer be invisible.

Nick nodded. “Agreed. Though I was told it’s tamperproof and all that.” He murmured, letting her go.

Jess nodded. “We can take a look at it up in the trees or something, not as likely they’ll see us there. But I don’t know if it’s got an alarm or something.”

She sighed a bit and took her hand off of her tummy, though she still was thinking about the crazy fact that she had a damn thing growing inside of her!

“Even if we can just short it or disable it temporarily, then it’ll be fine. I just gotta be able to fight and get us out. After that, It won’t matter. I’m sure someone out in the world could cut it off or something.” Nick assured, glancing between the girls as he ran his hands over the thick metal collar again.
