Chasity did let Nick go look after the other guy, making both of the doctors go and stand by the door as she looked through their files to see what they had.Mason looked at Nick when he came over, shying away from him right away and glaring at him. He said nothing though, just watched him very, very closely.
Nick shifted and opened his wings slightly. “Im bloody cause I killed the erasers. That’s all.” He got the keys from one of the doctors pockets and went over to him. “I’m nick.” He introduced, unlocking the chains.

Mason looked when he noticed the wings, keeping his eyes on Nick the entire time as he moved around. He let him come and unlock his chains, but as soon as he did, he jumped up and brought his hand up. He had powers too and, sorta like Chasity, he was able to control people's bodies and that's exactly what he did with Nick.Chasity saw this happening and quickly turned to help Nick, but she got caught by the guy too.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" Mason asked them, glancing in between the both of them. He was completely paranoid and afraid of strangers. And, unlike them, he did not have wings.
Nick tensed and struggled a little bit. “We’re experiments. We escaped from a facility run by doctors that worked with the ones here. We came here looking for information.” He explained calmly. “We’re not your enemies.”

Mason panted in panic as he looked in between the two of them, backing up towards the backdoor."More people with you?" "No, it's just us," Chasity said to him, seeing him glancing at the door,"Now you can go out there and try to run away, in your condition I don't think you'd get far. But if you stay with us, trust us a little bit, we can help you."
"I don't trust anyone," Mason replied with a shake of his head.
Nick held his arms out calmly to his sides. “You don’t have to trust us. We can just get you out of here and patched up a bit and take you wherever before just leaving you alone.” He offered quietly. “I doubt you wanna stay here with these doctors though. Doesn’t look like they’ve treated you very well.”

Mason looked at Nick when he spoke, thinking about it for a moment."What happened to the big guys?""The Erasers? They're outside, we took care of them like Nick said. That's why he's bloody," Chasity told him, trying to get into his head. She could and she knew that he was completely freaked out. The didn't treat him well at all from what she could tell, they beat, raped and experimented the hell out of this poor kid."We won't hurt you. I swear. We're just like you, we just managed to get away from the people that hurt us."
Mason licked his lips and tried to consider his options. He didn't know what to do, didn't know if he could trust them or not.
Nick spoke up when Chastity finished. “At least let us get you some clean clothes and away from these guys please?” He asked gently. He could understand the guy being afraid but hoped he’d see that they were trying to help him.

Mason looked between the two of them again, finally releasing the hold that he had on them, but he did not lower his guard. He stayed next to the back door in case he needed to run away.Chasity sighed when she was let go, never having to experience that end of it before. It was certainly weird."I'm Chasity. What's your name?"
Mason looked at her, swallowing thickly before he answered after a little bit of hesitation."Mason."
Nick nodded. “Nice to meet you mason.” He said politely. He went back over to the tables to glance through the files and everything the doctors had, trying to see if he saw anything useful.

Mason looked at Nick when he spoke, but didn't say anything back to him.Chasity let Nick look around, wanting to figure out where the heck this kid came from."Why are you here?"
Mason, again after a lot of hesitation, answered her."They didn't tell me. Knocked me out and I woke up here...4 days ago. Said if they needed me to use my powers, I had to. Else they'd..." He stopped there, not saying more.
Chasity knew though and he sighed heavily, looking over at the doctors."You've reached a whole new level of fucked up. Assholes."
Nick nodded. “We should chain them up how they had him. Or we could just kill them.” He suggested. He used a pen to push papers aside so he wouldn’t leave bloody prints on them all. “They’re just getting worse and worse it seems.”

"You got that right. Go over there," Chasity said, directing the orders at the doctors who, of course, had no choice. Once they were standing by the bed, she chained them up similarly to how Mason had been."Bunch of sickos. Nick, where's your backpack? You have anything that would fit him?"
“My backpack’s outside. I think I’ve got some stuff that should fit. I’ll be right back.” He assured. He went outside and grabbed his backpack. He brought it into the cabin and set it down before heading to the small sink. He rinsed the blood off his skin before digging through his backpack and finding some clothes that would fit mason. He offered them to him.

Chasity nodded and continued to look through the papers, finding a few thing that might be of good use, setting those aside to look at a little bit closer.Mason jumped when Nick approached him to give him the clothes, looking back and forth between them and him. Slowly, he extended his hand out and took them from him, examining them. He hand't had new clothes in almost 3 years.
“They might be a little big but it’s the closest I’ve got I think.” Nick said softly. He stepped back once mason took the clothes. “I’ve got some food too if you’re hungry..” he offered before stepping closer to chastity to help look over everything. He was trying to give mason some privacy so he could change.

Mason blinked slowly as he looked down at them, setting them aside for a moment. He stripped there, not exactly understanding the concept of going into another room to change. But neither of them were looking. He put the clothes on that Nick had given him, them being a bit small for him like Nick said. He was taller than Nick was, but was so much skinnier.Chasity waited for him to be changed before she turned around and motioned to his bloody face."Want help cleaning that up?"
Mason shook his head right away, not wanting them to touch him.
Nick looked through some more papers after grabbing mason some food. He offered it to him as well. “We can take you out of here. Get you somewhere safe where you won’t have to worry about them messing with you again..”

Mason looked at the food that was offered to him, taking it slowly from Nick. He was confused by his words, not believing that such a place could be out there."Where are we gonna take him?" Chasity asked, gathering together the papers that had seemed interesting so they could look through them.
Nick looked back to Chastity. "Well, I don't want to drag him to Washington with us. But I'm thinking of reaching out to Ethan so he'll get us in touch with his sister Brandie. She saved my life and is closer to here. He'd be safe there and could recover till we get back." He suggested quietly.

"Are you sure that's safe?" Chasity asked, looking over at Mason and sighing,"I'm just saying, we don't know who he is. Do I honestly think he'll hurt someone? No. But we can't be too careful. I think the best thing to do is bring him with us." Might be a little hard though, if he wasn't able to fly...
Nick shrugged. "If you feel that's best, we can bring him. My only concern is he can't fly and we'd pretty much be taking him closer towards the Institute. In his current state, I'm not sure how well he'd be able to fight if the need arose."

Do you?"Mason looked up when she asked that, thinking about it for a moment before he nodded."I can. No wings like you, but I fly."
"Oh. Oh, good, he does know how to fly. He must be able to do what Hailey can," Chasity said, looking back over at Nick.
Nick shrugged. "We can, but again you said the others were heading to Washington and that we really should get there." He mumbled, letting her decide. "I guess so. How old are you Mason?" He asked curiously.

Nick nodded slightly. “Alright. Do you feel comfortable traveling with us? We’ll get away from here and then you can get some rest.” He offered quietly to him. He hoped things would work out alright with Them bringing him along.

"Traveling where?" Mason asked, not sure what to do. Of course he didn't wanna stay with the people that had hurt him, but he also didn't know who these people were exactly either. So who should he trust?"Washington. More of our friends are there, we're suppose to meet up with them," Chasity said.
Nick nodded. "There's more of them like us. We all were modified with wings but some of us have abilities like you. We keep each other safe though. You could join us at least while you're healing so you can get healthy before you go out on your own if that's what you choose to do."

Mason listened to him, playing with his hands a little bit nervously."Why? Why you want me with you?""Because we don't wanna leave you here, defenseless and ripe for them to just capture you all over again. We wanna help you," Chasity told him.
"We've all been in similar situations as you. Chastity escaped the school with us pretty recently after she'd been stuck there for quite a while. You seem like you've been through a lot already, you shouldn't have to go through even more." Nick added gently.

Mason thought about it for a moment, looking over at the doctors who were still chained up. It was a hard thing for him to do, trust people after what had been done to him all his life."Can I make sure? That you're telling the truth?"Chasity furrowed her eyebrows at his words, glancing to Nick. She wasn't quite sure what that meant.
Nick glanced at him. "If you mean like look into my head to check, then yeah, you can do that." He assured gently. It wasn't like he had a lot to lose. Sure, there was lots of information and whatnot but he could easily catch Mason if he thought he was gonna turn on them or anything.

Mason fidgeted slightly when Nick said this and he nodded, extending his hand out to him and waited. He wanted him to hold his hand, he had been avoiding contact with them because of what he was able to do when he touched people.
Nick hesitated a moment before holding his hand out and letting Mason take it. He was impressed at how powerful Mason seemed to be already and wondered if he and Hailey would end up developing more powers as well. The thought of Hailey still stung though, knowing she had to be pretty upset with him still.

Mason wrapped his fingers around Nick's when he gave his hand to him and right away he got a glimpse into Nick's life. It's what he was able to do to, have been able to do for a very long time. He was able to see pretty much everything about Nick's life: his thoughts, feelings, wants, his past. All in just a matter of about 10 seconds. He quickly released his hand when he was finished, looking at him."Hailey. Most of your life seems almost consumed with thoughts and memories of a girl with that name."Chasity raised her eyebrows in shock at what Mason was able to do. She couldn't even do that, she could only see what people were immediately thinking about, not dive into all of their memories.
Nick took his hand away when Mason let go. He nodded. "Yeah. She's the most important thing in the world to me." He admitted faintly in reply to his comment. He shifted a bit on his feet, trying to push his thoughts of her aside. "Well, did I pass? Do you at least believe us?"

"I can tell," Mason said, trailing off a bit and nodding afterwards,"I do. I'll go with you." There was no faking memories and feelings after all. He just hated doing that with people because it was just so much entering in his own mind, gave him a headache."Good but here first," Chasity said, reaching into her backpack and grabbing a small thing of wet naps,"For your face. You're still all bloody."
Mason looked at the package and took it from her, opening it up and wiping at his face to try and get the blood off.
Nick nodded slightly to him. “Your abilities seem like they’d be exhausting. Does that memory thing happen with any touch or just specific times when you want it to?” He asked curiously. He went through more of the stuff in the cabin while mason got cleaned up.

"Not really. It's always come naturally. Leaves with a headache though," Mason said as he wiped at the blood, willing the headache to pass. He was silent a moment more before replying."I can't help it. Whenever I touch someone, it happens. I can control how deep I go, but I always get something when I touch someone."
Nick nodded. “I’m guessing gloves don’t block it either?” He asked curiously. He set aside a few more papers to take with them, looking to see if they had a laptop or anything there as well.

"That does. Skin to skin contact, that's what triggers. That's why I needed your hand," Mason explaining, wiping off what he hoped was most of the blood. Now that it was mostly off, the injuries to his face didn't look too bad. Still pretty bruised, but he only had a small cut on his forehead and split lip.
Nick nodded. “Okay. We can probably get you some gloves at some point so you can hopefully not be so overloaded by accidentally touching people then.” He glanced to chastity. “see a laptop or any other useful stuff?” He asked quietly.

Mason nodded slowly, not having considered that before. He stayed by the door as they searched the room, wondering what it was exactly they were looking for."No laptop, just a bunch of papers. A few walkie talkies," Chasity said with a shake of her head,"I think these papers are enough. We should get outta here before more of them come."
Nick nodded. He stacked the papers and tucked them in his backpack. “Ready to get out of here mason?” He asked before heading to the door. He thankfully didn’t hear or see any signs of more people on the way towards them.

Nick put his backpack on and headed outside. He glanced to mason. “Let us know if you get too tired or anything.” He said quietly before opening his wings and taking off.

Chasity went with them outside, opening up her wings as well. she stayed down with Mason thought until he got up in the air, not knowing how good he was at flying or if he would be able to fly when he might be tired.Mason nodded and levitated himself off of the ground, just like Hailey was able to do. He saw how high Nick was going though and he looked at Hailey."I've never gone that high before."
"That's okay. You and I will stay closer to the trees okay?" she said, earning a nod from Mason and he went up as high as most of the trees, Chasity coming up after him.
Nick beard them and came down a bit lower. He stayed a bit further above the trees so he could see further around them but was still easily within earshot. He got himself oriented and headed in the right direction.
That kid, Mason, looked up when the two of them entered. He had a black eye and bruised cheek, looked like he had gotten a pretty good beating recently.
