Nick silently ducked outside when he saw Hailey starting to cry, unable to bear it. He stretched out his wings and shook them out as he waited for chastity. “I’m sorry you feel like you’ve gotta follow me,” he mumbled quietly, glancing at her. He took off and flew up a bit higher.

Chasity sighed when she saw it, really feeling bad. She did go out when Nick did though, opening up her wings and putting the backpack Hailey had given her on. She shook her head at his words, looking over at him as well."I'm not gonna let you get yourself killed." She flew up with him, honestly feeling awful for the Flock.
Nick shrugged. “You probably should. It’ll save you a lot of trouble.” He told her quietly. He flew up a bit higher. “I understand their frustration and hate. I do. But I’ve sat around for as long as I could. It’s my job to keep them safe. This is the best way to keep them safe for the future.”

"I don't think that it is. I'm sorry, but I don't. But if you think that it is then I'll help you. I told Hailey I'm not gonna let anything happen to you," Chasity said, flying up higher with him. She did not like the idea of getting so close to the School again so soon, but it was what needed to be done.
Nick shrugged. He began talking her through the info he’d found in all his research. He wanted her to b on the same page as him so they could at least work together. (Should we skip?)

(( I can! (: ))The next morning came around and Hunt stretched his arms up and over his head as he exited the bathroom. He, again, didn't sleep well last night and was up for nearly half the night before he managed to get 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Ace had needed to wake him up. Going down the hallway with his boyfriend, he was surprised to see Hailey up and in the kitchen.
Hailey, with her hair up in a high pigtail and wearing an apron, looked over when the two came to living room."Morning." Was what she simply said and went back to doing what she was doing, which was making pancakes.
(Thanks!)Ace poked his belly when hunt came out of the bathroom before taking his hand and heading to the kitchen with him. “Hey. How’re you doing?” Ace asked Hailey, a bit surprised to see her up and cooking.
Faye had just woken up but didn’t feel like getting out of bed until Zar was awake too.

Hailey shrugged at Ace's question, pouring some batter into the pan she had been using to cook."I'm fine." Again, very simple and short sounding, which is what she sounded like when she was holding her feelings back."Did you two sleep okay?" And, again, changing the subject. Something else she did when she was obviously not okay.Hunt frowned as she spoke, feeling terrible, just...terrible."Hailey why don'y you go sit down and let us do that, huh?"
"No it's fine," Hailey replied, not meeting their eye.
Zar woke up a little bit after Faye did, opening her eyes slowly and stretching her body out. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly and looked up at Faye (she had been snuggling into her chest)."Good morning."
Ace let go of Hunt’s hand. He came over and instead gave Hailey a gentle hug. “Let us know if we can do anything.” He told her before he let her go. He went back close to hunt and sat down. Faye glanced at her, shifting and pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. “Good morning.” She whispered softly.

Hailey let Ace do as he wished, not hugging him back or anything though. She just nodded and continued on what she was doing in silence.Hunt watched her and went with Ace into the living room, sitting down with him."She's not okay."
Zar smiled from that kiss, moving her arm to place gently on Faye's waist."Did you sleep okay?"
Ace frowned at Hunt. “Yeah. Clearly.” He agreed. “I dunno what to do about it though.” “Yeah. Did you?” She asked softly, snuggling closer to Zar. “I really don’t want to get up.” She added after a moment.

“Me either. But stuff is just so fucked up right now that who knows.” Ace shrugged. “She’s gonna miss him. They love each other.” Faye nodded. “Yeah. We should get up and see what theyre making then?”

She seemed okay, not like herself okay, but not like she was yesterday. He just didn't want her to push stuff down too much cause then she would eventually break down from it."Okay," Zar said, smiling at her and she leaned forward and kissed her softly. She moved back a moment later and sat up, stretching her arms up and over her head.
“Probably. Well take good care of her though.” He promised. Ace snuggled closer to hunt and tried to stay relaxed. He couldn’t stress about Hailey too much.Faye kissed her softly. She smiled gently and moved to get up once she pulled away. She got up and headed to the door, waiting for Zar.

Hunt nodded and also curled up with Ace, wondering what Nick and Chasity might be up to currently. But, then again, he shouldn't really care too much. And he didn't. Much.Zar got up when she did, putting her arm around hers and following her out and down the hallway. She, like the guys had, noticed Hailey cooking right away and frowned, shooting a look over to Faye.
“Do you think we could convince her to at least let us help?” Ace asked softly. “I don’t like her feeling like she has to do so much.” He mumbled. He knew that it was good for Hailey to keep busy but he didn’t want her worn out and crashing. Faye followed her to the kitchen and frowned at Hailey cooking. She quickly replaced it with a faint smile. “Morning. Anything we can do to help?” She asked Hailey softly.

Ace nodded. He greeted the girls quietly before looking back to hunt. “I’m just hoping that maybe he’ll come to his senses pretty quick and come back. This is unfair to her.”Faye nodded. She moved and instead got stuff to set the table since Hailey was nearly done cooking.

"Yeah me too. I mean he pissed me off by going in the first place, so I really don't wanna see his dumb ass. But I know Hailey needs him," Hunt replied, also giving a wave over to the girls. He got up after a second and went outside to go get Jayden, who had gone out to keep watch last night."Hey stranger. Breakfast is about ready."Zar let Faye do that while she went and gathered up the kids, making sure they got dressed and brushed their teeth before joining them.
Ace nodded. He let hunt up so he could get Jayden back inside. Jayden glanced at Hunt from the roof. “Hey there.” He got up and opened his wings to come down. “Thanks for getting me. Breakfast sounds good.” He commented softly.
Faye got the table set along with getting syrup and stuff out for the pancakes.

"Good, cause I think she made a lot," Hunt said, putting his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants,"You do alright out here tonight? It was your first night on watch." The guy had offered to do it last night so everyone else could get a good nights rest, they had all had a pretty shitty day after all. Not that Hunt got a lot of sleep...but he would sleep at some point during the day he figured.Hailey finished up the pancakes, moving rather slowly. She then got out the correct amount of plates for them, well after accidentally getting out an extra 2 for Nick and Chasity, and then remembered they weren't here so she put them back. Sighing, she started putting an equal amount of pancakes onto everyone's plate, well except Hunt. Hunt got extra, as always.
Jayden nodded. “Yeah. It’s actually pretty nice to be able to see so much of the sky and stars. Definitely a lot more than I’m used to.” He admitted with a gentle smile. He followed hunt to head back inside. Faye took the plates and distributed the once Hailey had finished, giving the youngest their food first. She set two plates down for her and Zar before glancing to Hailey. She wanted to be sure that she ate too.

"Yeah thats one of my favorite things about being on watch, looking up at the sky. I almost prefer sleeping outside then in because of it," Hunt said with a chuckle, going back in with him and taking a seat at the table.Hailey put everyone's one here, her and Hunts being the last that she did. She looked at the two plates for a moment though before just putting the pancakes that had been on hers onto Hunts and grabbing an apple and a water bottle instead, not at all hungry. But she figured if she at least pretended to eat, the others might leave her alone. Going into the dining room, she set Hunt's plate down in front of him and sat next to Ace, opening up her water bottle and taking a drink.
Jayden smiled and nodded. He sat at the table by the boys and thanked Hailey for his food. He started eating.Faye frowned at Hailey. “You need to eat at least one pancake.” She told her simply, not going to let her argue. “You can’t starve and get weak just cause you’re upset..”

Hailey looked at Faye when she said that, her eyes slowly going back down to the table after a moment.Hunt looked at her from where he was sitting, other side of Ace, and he took one that was on his plate, set it on a napkin and slid it over to her."At least try."
Hailey looked at the food Hunt passed her and, after a second, she took it and started slowly tearing it up into smaller pieces.
Faye frowned. After a moment, she stood up and walked out of the dining room. She hated to see Hailey so torn up and not have any clue as to how she could fix it for her besides from dragging Nick back home. Ace shifted closer to Hunt. “Please. I know you’re not hungry. But you’ve gotta try.” He mumbled.

Hailey didn't looked up when Faye exited the room, though she did look at Ace when he came closer to her. Sighing, she took a small piece of the pancake that she had tore up and put it in her mouth, slowly chewing it while she tore up the rest of it into smaller pieces.Hunt watched her as well, at least that was something. Even if she ate a little bit, just one small pancake that would be good for him for now until lunch came along.
Ace let her be once she’d eaten a few bites. That would have to be enough. He ate a bit before speaking up. “What’s our plan for what to do next?” He asked curiously. Faye came back after a few minutes, once she’d pulled her shit together. She sat down and quietly started eating her pancakes.

Hailey did managed to eat a few pieces, figuring that they wouldn't leave her alone about it like she hoped they would. She stopped once Ace stopped looking at her though, clearing her throat."We go out and try to find the Institute, just like we planned.""And when are we gonna do that?" Hunt asked around a mouthful of food, looking over when Faye came back in.
"Well there's nothing else we need to do here, right? I say we go tomorrow," Hailey said with a shrug.
Ace nodded slightly. “Alright. That’ll work.” He agreed quietly. He wasn’t ready to leave but he understood wanting to get stuff done and try and take down the institute. Cass bit her lip and spoke up. “Do we have to go?” She asked softly. She felt like she always ended up slowing them down and was enjoying getting to act like a normal kid.

Hailey looked over at Cass when she asked that, shaking her head right away."No way. You and Victor are staying here with Ethan." She raised her hand as soon as she saw Victor open his mouth to argue."That's final, hear me. You and her are staying here."Victor frowned when Hailey said that and slumped a bit in his chair. He wanted to help too...but he supposed it wouldn't be good to leave Cass here alone.
"And anyone else that doesn't wanna go can stay too, I'm not gonna make anyone go with me," Hailey said, looking around at everyone.
"Hell yeah I'm going," Hunt said right away. He wasn't gonna leave Hailey alone.
Zar was silent when she said that, not sure if she wanted to go. She did like it here, it was nice here, but she also did wanna stay with everyone else...
Cass nodded and thanked her. She didn’t want to go. She loved her flock but she liked Ethan too. He treated her kindly and helped give her a routine. Ace nodded. “I’m going.” He assured.
Faye glanced to Zar. “You can stay. Be with Cass and Victor. You’d be able to protect them if something happened.” She offered when she saw her hesitation

Faye nodded. “We’ll talk about it?” She suggested to Zar so they could talk alone. She was pretty set on going but wanted to protect Zar if she could. Jayden hesitated before nodding. “I’ll go.” He assured. He was scared of being captured but couldn’t not go with them.

Zar sighed softly but nodded, reaching one of her hands over and putting it on Faye's leg. It was a torn decision for her. She didn't wanna leave Faye or Hailey, or the other guys either really. But she also wasn't sure if she was ready to leave the cabin yet. It was just really nice and safe here."Okay, good. I was hoping you would, it would be nice to have someone else with powers with us," Hailey said, nodding as she spoke.
"Oh yeah, we lost two of our power people. Doing research and shit about the Institute would be hella lot easier with Chasity. She's the one that knows most about the School," Hunt said, never thinking that he would wish Chasity was here, but he did.
Faye our her hand over Zar’s and smiled gently. She focused back on her food while the others talked. Jayden nodded. “I’m happy to help however I can.” Be assured.
Cass glanced around them. “Nick did lots of research. It’s on the laptop still?” She mentioned. “He showed me one night when I couldn’t sleep. And it might help?” She offered faintly.

"If he didn't take it with him then yeah, it would be on that," Hailey replied, not getting up to look yet. Nick was the one that was always on the darn thing so she associated it with him. And she didn't wanna see anything that reminded her of him right now."You must know some stuff about the School yourself though, right Jayden?" Hunt asked the guy.
Cass nodded. “He didn’t take it. It’s all still there. I can show one of you later.” She offered, hoping that she could help. She finished her pancakes. Jayden nodded. “Yeah. A decent bit. But I mean, chastity knew tons more. I was kept in my room for a majority of the time besides helping to heal the others. Just let me know what you need and I’ll try to help.”

She reached over for her bottle of water, pretty much having abandoned the pancake and haven't taken a bite out of her apple. "Okay. Well anything is better than nothing," Hunt said, hearing what Hailey and Cass had been talking about and he nodded,"Sounds good to me."
Cass nodded to the boys. She moved and sat in Hailey’s lap, hugging her gently. She usually wasn’t so clingy but she wanted the comfort with everything going on, especially the fact that Hailey would be leaving with the others and she’d be left behind. Jayden nodded. “We’ll talk through it later with whoever’s going?” He suggested.

Hailey watched as she came over into her lap and that managed to get a small smile out of her. She hugged Cass back, rubbing up and down her back gently.Hunt saw the interaction with the two girls and smiled, standing up since he was finished. He took every's plate that was done and went into the kitchen to wash the dishes.
Zar let Hunt take her plate, leaning over and kissing Faye's cheek."I'm gonna go take a shower and get dressed."
Cass snuggled close. “Thanks..” she murmured faintly, closing her eyes as she leaned on Hailey. Ace finished eating and stood. He followed hunt into the kitchen to help clean up. “Cass at least got her to smile.” He commented.
Faye nodded. “Alright. I’ll see you in a bit.” She assured, letting Zar go.

Hunt looked at him and nodded, beginning to run the water to clean the dishes."Yeah that's something at least. I wish she would eat more, but we can try again at lunch time, maybe get her to eat a little bit more."Hailey continued to hold onto Cass, not having snuggled with her like this in a while. It was nice.
Ace nodded. “Maybe I’ll ask Cass to talk to her. That seems like it might actually get through to Hailey. Give her something to focus on.” He suggested quietly. Cass stayed snuggled close in Hailey’s lap, leaning against her.
Faye got up and cleared the other stuff off the table.
Hailey nodded and watched as she went, not able to keep it in as she started crying all over again. She didn't want anyone to see though so she quickly retreated back into the room, slamming the door shut.
