The scientists sighed softly when he did that, putting the shirt down on the floor. He moved behind him to look at his wings."Open your wings, loosen up your muscles."

Hailey nodded, thinking for a moment before she finally folded her wings back up. Removing her arms from around Faye, he moved them closer to Jayden instead."If you don't mind."

Nick didn’t cooperate for a minute. He stretched out his wings and shook them out a bit roughly to disturb the doctors if he could. He glared at a blank space on the wall in front of him.

Jayden nodded and gently touched her arms, focusing on healing them up. He pulled away after a minute. “There. All set. I’ll try and come out here more when I can.” He assured before standing. He stepped back before stretching out his wings.

The scientist sighed a bit, realizing he was going to be a difficult one."Chasity."

Chasity looked up when her name was called, seeing the doctor motion over for her. Slowly she stood up and walked over to them, clearing her throat."What?"

"Keep him still," the scientist replied, looking over at Nick with almost a smug look on his face.

Hailey allowed him to heal her up, taking her arms back once he was finished."Thank you." She looked as he opened up his own wings, not having seen them before. They were almost as long as Nicks.

Nick quickly flapped his wings back, smacking the doctor. He glanced to chastity and settled before she’d have to use her abilities on him. ‘They’re so easy to piss off. Im really not sure why they haven’t just killed me off honestly.’ He thought.

Jayden nodded. “Of course.” He smiled a bit. His wings were almost as big as nicks and mainly dark brown in color. He smiled gently at them both before taking off and flying around a bit.

The scientists cursed when he flapped like that, looking over at Chasity.

Chasity raised her hands in defeat at him, looking at Nick like she was using her powers on him, even though she wasn't. 'It might be wise for me to control you. He's gonna take scraping of the skin around your wing and the actual wing itself. It'll hurt like a bitch. I can at least numb it for now.'

Hailey watched as he took off, sighing softly and sitting there with Faye."Feeling okay?"

Nick bit his tongue to keep himself still. “Don’t. I appreciate it but just don’t. I can handle the pain and honestly deserve it.’ He answered her in his mind. He was still upset about what had been done to Hailey and Faye, worried about what the doctors wanted to try with them.

Faye nodded. “I’m okay. How are you?” She asked as she watched Jayden. She shifted closer and put an arm around her.

Chasity respected what he wanted, not controlling him. She knew what was eating him up and she sighed, not replying though. The doctor first took two feathers from his wings, one from both and put those in a container. He then took his scraping tool and, like Chasity had said, scraped at the skin right where his wings met his actual skin, making sure he had a good amount.

Hailey nodded, sighing and shrugging."In pain. But...everything with be okay."

Nick tensed up a bit but kept still while they messed with his wings. He kept his eyes on the wall, ignoring the stinging that case with the scraping.

Faye nodded. “We’ll make it out of here okay.” She mumbled softly. She glanced up at Jayden flying around.

Once the guy got what he wanted from that, he moved onto the actual wing part, scraping some of that as well.

"Yeah I know," Hailey replied, offering a smile at Faye. She got up after a moment and flew up where he was moving around, keeping her wings folded though. In a smaller space like this, they kinda got in the way."Can I ask you, do you remember if you were born here or if you had been added to the experiment when you were older?"

Nick twitched his wings a bit out of reflex more than anything. He stayed quiet and waited for them to finish up with him.

Faye nodded. She watched Hailey, staying on the ground.

“I don’t really remember honestly. I remember being here when I was pretty young but I don’t know. What about you?”

Once the scientist had gotten everything he needed from his wings he put the containers where they needed to go, labeling them. He grabbed two more containers from the cabinet and went back over to him, holding them out for him to take."I need a urine sample and a reproductive fluid sample."

Hailey listened to him, nodding and sighing. It looked like everyone's story was different, no matter if they which batch of experiments they were from. She shrugged her shoulders in response."I'm not really sure. My earliest memories are here, when I was about 6 or 7."

Nick closed his wings once they’d finished with them. He rolled his eyes and shook his head at the scientist. “Yeah. Good luck with that.” He replied snark I love you, not wanting to comply.

Jayden nodded. “That makes sense.. we all just are kinda stuck following what stories they give us.” He replied quietly.

The scientist rolled his eyes at him, putting the cups down rather hard on the table next to him."Either cooperate nice and easy or we'll get it the hard way. Your choice."

Chasity looked between the two of them, biting the inside of her lip though not saying a word.

Hailey nodded, biting the inside of her cheek."Were you the only one? I mean, did you grow up with others?"

Nick shrugged. “Ya know, I really don’t feel like cooperating. So good luck.” He told them with a smirk. He watched them warily, wondering what they’d try.

“I got to know chastity but not until I was older. They kept me alone mainly.” He explained.

The scientist sighed at him, looking over at Chasity."Keep him still."

Chasity looked at the doctor when he ordered this and sighed heavily, looking at Nick. 'I'm sorry.' She took over his mind then as the doctor got ready to get what he needed his way, which was not a comfortable way.

Hailey nodded."So what makes the two of you so different even though you were both raised alone? She was loyal to them, you wanted out."

Nick glared but relaxed a bit as chastity took over. He closed his eyes and let them do what they needed. ‘No need for you to apologize. It’s out of your control..’ He told her mentally.

Jayden shrugged. “I see what they do to all the hybrids every day. I don’t know why anyone would want to deal with it..”

Chasity sighed and stood there as the doctor laid Nick down on the table how he needed to. She did turn away when he actually started working on Nick though, not exactly wanting to see that.

"Yeah. It's pretty fucked up," Hailey replied, looking over at him for a little longer,"You got somewhere you wanna go when we get out?"

Nick closed his eyes and let the doctors do what they had to. His anger radiated off him and he stayed all tensed up. His thoughts didn’t stop racing though, trying to figure out how to protect Hailey.

Jayden shrugged. “I don’t know honestly. Just somewhere safe.”

The scientist did what he needed to do and he got what he needed, putting it all where it needed to go."Gonna bring this to the lab, watch him." He said this to Chasity before he left, but there were other scientists in the area to watch them

Chasity looked at him, still not giving a glance to Nick since he was still, um, exposed. She did let his mind go though, letting him have control of his body once more.

Nick didn’t move until he felt chastity lessen her control. He bit his bottom lip roughly as he fixed his clothes, grabbing his shirt from the floor as well and tugging it back on. He shot a quick glance to chastity. ‘Sorry you have to use your abilities so much. Must be exhausting..’ he thought.

Chasity waited until, he had fixed up his clothes, looking at him afterwards."It's fine...gotta do it." She spoke this, not talking too loud though. She didn't really care if the others caught them talking.

Nick shrugged slightly. He ran a hand through his hair roughly and glanced at one of the other scientists. “Anything else you want from me or can I go back to the birdcage?” He asked them lowly, still all tensed up.

One of the scientists looked at him when he asked that."Wait for him to come back, there are more tests for you."

"I think he's done enough," Chasity chimed in, looking over at them with a sigh.

Nick rolled his eyes and fell quiet. He glanced at Chastity again. ‘It’s fine. I’m used to worse. Just want to check on my flock.’ He told her mentally, not wanting his concerns to be heard by the scientists. He stood up off the table after a moment.

Chasity looked back at Nick and nodded, reaching out a bit to the girls. There was a limit to how far she could reach out, but she was able to faintly pick up the girls. 'They're fine. Haileys worried about you, and both are scared. But they're fine.'

Nick nodded slightly. ‘You’re pretty powerful.’ He thought, moving around a bit. He stayed close to the table so the scientists wouldn’t throw a fit. ‘What sort of experiments have they done with you? Or what’d you get hurt for?’

Chasity shrugged a little bit at his words, staying where she was next to the table. At his question, she thought for a moment, avoiding the first question. 'Because they hate me. Hate the way that I turned out I guess. I'm stronger than them, I have the ability to take them down if I want, control them if they're not careful. And they hate that."

Nick nodded his head just slightly. ‘Makes sense. They don’t like what they can’t control. Just wait and they’ll come in with more bullshit tests for me just cause.’ He replied as he paced back and forth for a few.

'Probably. You know what their plan is right?' Chasity asked him, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked around a little nervously.

Nick glanced at her. ‘Yeah. They want to try and see what sort of offspring we’d produce. Based on what’s been done, I’m guessing they’re gonna try and get Hailey pregnant. They haven’t tried anything in that sort of way with Faye..’ he answered. ‘Yet at least. Though I’m hoping it stays that way.’

Nick sighed softly. ‘I figured. Plus, we’re the oldest as far as I know so probably better chances.’ He glanced at her before sitting back on the table, moving so she could use him to steady herself if needed. ‘Sucks though. She doesn’t deserve to have to go through this....’

Chasity listened, seeing the scientist coming back just then and she sighed. 'Worry about yourselves.' The man came over to him again, looking up. "Get up."

‘It’s my job to protect my flock. That includes bringing people in when we find them...’ he told chastity. Nick raised an eyebrow. “Why?” He asked the doctor with a smirk. He stayed sitting for a minute in a silent challenge before complying and standing up for the doctor.

"Tests," the man replied, walking in a different direction to run some more things on him.

Nick nodded. He glanced to chastity for one more moment before following the doctor.

They kept nick for a while, running more tests and nick challenged them most of the way. They finally brought nick back to the birdcage and let him stumble inside. Nick looked pale and bruised but he kept quiet. He went right over to the girls.

Hailey was sitting down with Faye when he got back, watching them push him inside. She offered him a small smile, sighing heavily from his appearance.
"You okay?" She asked once he got closer.

Nick didn’t answer. He simply wrapped his arms around her, leaning his head down onto her shoulder. He held her for a minute before speaking. ‘We’re gonna have to get out quick. They’ve collected stuff to likely try and knock you up..” he whispered in her ear, wanting her to know what was going on even though they both suspected it.

Hailey let him do both of those things, listening to his words. She felt her stomach drop, thought she pretty much had anticipated that they were gonna try and get her pregnant."Well shit." Not that she was totally against having a child but, um, not right now and not like this....

“Agreed. So we’ll have to figure something out soon. Cause I’m guessing they’re not gonna wait long to try that..” he mumbled, gently rubbing her back between her wings. “Chastity said something about that boy having her key card..”
