"That's not necessary, I don't need to say anything else on the matter," Hailey said with a shake of her head and a sigh, opening up her bottle of water,"I'll let you get some rest." She headed back outside afterwards to watch the kids and practice some more.

Ace sighed quietly and watched her leave. He stayed still so Zar could keep resting.

Nick had landed, sitting up on the roof so he was separate from the others.

Hailey looked at the kids playing, glad to see that Cass and Victor seemed to have their minds taken off of things for the moment.

"Ah Hailey," Ethan said when he noticed she came back out, smiling,"My uh, my daughter has a request."

Leigha looked over at her and immediately moved closer to her, a wide smile on her face.
"I was wondering if um, if you could take me up. You know, in the air? Flying I mean," she asked her.

Hailey listened to the girls request, looking up from her to Ethan and then back down.
"Oh um....uhhhh," she couldn't really think of what to say. She couldn't use her wings after all, she could levitate, but not very well. She wouldn't be able to take the girl up very high with her, if at all. She had never tried it with another person before.

Nick was sitting near the edge of the roof and could overhear them. He moved and drifted down to join them, not wanting Hailey to try levitating with the girl but he couldn’t stop her either. “I can take you up flying if you’d like, Hailey’s supposed to be resting her wings a bit.” He offered quietly with a glance to Ethan to make sure it was alright.

Ethan looked at Nick when he came down, nodding his head at him.
"That would work too, that okay with you sweetie?" he asked his daughter. He was nervous about her going up with any of them, but he also didn't wanna deny her the chance if that's what she wanted to try.

Leigha also looked at Nick, back at her dad and then back to him again.
"Yeah okay," she replied. From what they had seen of her so far she seemed like a pretty okay kid. Listened to her dad, played well with the other kids. She was just a little younger than Cass, 8 years.

Hailey looked at Nick as well, not going to argue with that one. She couldn't fly anyways, she didn't wanna risk hurting the poor girl. So she stepped off to the side instead, crossing her arms over her chest.

Nick nodded to Ethan before focusing on Leigha. “Okay. So I’ll be behind you and holding on to you pretty tight. We won’t go super high though. And if you want to come back down, just say so and we will immediately. Okay?” He explained to her, wanting her to know what was going on first.

Leigha listened to Nicks words and she nodded her head, obviously pretty excited.
"Yeah okay," she agreed, understanding.

Victor moved over to Hailey when she stepped off to the side, noticing the look on her face.
"Are you okay Hailey?" he asked.

Hailey looked down at him and offered a smile, ruffling his hair."Yeah buddy, I'm alright."

Nick nodded. He wrapped his arms around her and stood with her in his arms. He took off after a moment and flew them just a bit above the roof.

Cass followed Victor and leaned on Hailey. “Why are you guys fighting again?” She asked curiously.

Leigha let Nick wrap his arms around her, holding onto them slightly. She squeaked when they first lifted off the ground but as they got higher she started laughing a little bit. This was crazy!
"Oh jeez, oh wow! This is so cool!" she said excitedly.

Hailey watched as the two of them went up, looking over at Cass and sighing a little bit.
"Nick and Ace...wanna do something that I don't want to," she replied to her, reaching down and running her fingers through her hair a little bit,"But I'm gonna let them do it...because I can't control you guys forever."

Nick smiled a bit and nodded. He flew her around the cabin a bit, staying where they could be in sight of Ethan. He didn’t want to worry him or cause any other problems.

Cass shrugged. “Aren’t you supposed to figure it out together though?”

Leigha continued laughing as they flew around the house, looking down at her dad and waving to him, him waving right back.
"It's so cool you guys can do this!" she said, looking back at Nick,"Can all of you fly?"

"In an...ideal world yes. But sometimes that doesn't happen," Hailey replied with a heavy sigh, looking down at her and offering a smile,"It'll be alright though."

Nick nodded. “Yep. We all have wings and can fly.” He answered with a smile. He flew them up a little bit higher, making sure she was doing alright.

Cass sighed. “What do they want to do?”

"Awesome," Leigha said with a giggle, looking down at the ground,"Wow we're really high up. How high can you guys actually go?"

Hailey debated on how much to tell the younger kids but really, well, they deserved to know as well. They were mature enough, it wasn't like they were 6 or something."They wanna go alone to try and get Hunt and Faye back."

Nick smiled. “We can go really high. I can’t take you up that high but once we land, I’ll fly up as high as I can do you can see.” He told her softly. He flew her around a bit more before heading back down to the ground.

Cass frowned. “Isn’t that bad? You guys struggled with getting the others out last time..”

"Okay!" Leigha said, enjoying her time. She was fine when Nick started going down as well, that being a cool feeling too and she couldn't stop how much she was giggling.

"Yeah that's what I tried to tell them...but they said they have a plan. Not what I would call a good one though," Hailey replied to her.

Nick smiled at how happy she was. He landed easily back in the yard before setting her down. “Pretty cool, huh?”


Cass sighed. “I’ll convince them.” She decided simply, nodding. She’d certainly gotten some of Hailey’s stubbornness even though they weren’t related by blood.

Leigha looked up at him once she was set back down and nodded her head."Super cool! That was awesome! And you guys get to do that all the time, I'm so jealous." She laughed as she said this, looking joyfully at her father, who smiled back and gave her a thumbs up.

Hailey raised her eyebrow at her words and laughed softly, reaching down and picking her up easily."What a grown up little lady you are." She smiled as she said this, smoothing her shirt down a little."You don't need to worry about this."

Nick smiled a bit and nodded. “Watch this.” He told her before taking off and flying up as high as he could to show her.

Cass hugged her. “But you’re worried about it. And if we could take care of ourselves better than you could go with them..”

Leigha looked at him and watched as he went up, laughing a bit. He went up so high that she couldn't even see him anymore! It was crazy!

Hailey hugged her back, kissing her head gently as she held her."I am worried about it, I'm very worried. But you don't need to worry about that, okay? I wouldn't leave you guys alone."

Nick flew up as high as he could before flying back down after a couple minutes.


“But mr Ethan. What if we stayed with him? Then could you rescue the others?” She suggested quietly.

Leigha waited for him to come back down and she giggled."That was awesome! I couldn't even see you anymore!"

"Not right now sweetie. I can't fly well and I don't wanna risk getting too close to that girl and have her take over my mind, like she did with Hunt and Faye. Cause then I might come back and hurt everyone here," Hailey replied with a shake of her head.

"That would be bad," Victor chimed in from his spot next to her.

Nick smiled and nodded. “Yep. It’s pretty cool.” He agreed. He closed his wings once he’d landed again.


Cass sighed and leaned on her. “I don’t like you guys fighting..”

"Very very cool," Leigha said, turning then and running off excitedly to her father to tell him all about it, Ethan listening closely as he continue to make dinner for them.

"I know hun, I don't either. But it'll be fine," Hailey replied with a heavy sigh, offering a smile over at her though.

Nick nodded. He glanced around quietly.

Cass stayed close to her. “I want to sort this out...” she mumbled. “How can I fix this...”

Cass shook her head slightly. “Why can’t you guys just hug and sort this out? There’s gotta be a plan that makes you both okay with it.” She said quietly.

Nick heard them talking and sighed. He quietly went back inside the house to get some space from them.

Chasity sighed as she walked around the little camp they had made, just a few Erasers really, Hunt and Faye. She kept the boy under her control the whole time, afraid that with how hard he fought against her on average, letting him go once would be the end of it. But not Faye, she mostly let her mind be her own, only really needing to control her body really.
"You should eat something at least," she said as she passed by the girl who was being guarded by Hunt,"No good to us if you're dead." As she had been before she was wearing a simple white sundress, no shoes. She didn't find them comfortable.

Faye shrugged. “Hmm. Might as well just let me die. I’m no use for what they want anyways. I’ll fight them the whole way.” She muttered, watching Hunt quietly.

Nick and Ace flew close together, heading towards the school on the quickest route. It hadn’t been long so they thought that they maybe could catch them before they got there.

Chasity chuckled a little bit, pacing a little bit in front of her."I think you'll serve plenty useful for what they want. And you can fight all you want but let me tell you, it won't matter. Just ask Zar when you see her next, didn't matter then."

Hunt was completely silent as he stood there next to Faye, expression blank.

Faye tensed uo but kept her mouth shut. She sighed softly and watched Hunt, wishing she could wake him up.

Nick spoke quietly to ace, pointing out a camp he saw nearby, trying to get a better look.

Chasity grinned at her but stopped when she heard something, thoughts. She knew these thoughts, they were Nick's. Looking up, she was able to spot the two of them flying overheard.
"Get up," she ordered Faye, controlling her body to get up, but not taking over her mind.

Faye tried to resist but lost control of her body, standing easily and looking to chastity. She glanced again to hunt, unable to move. It felt almost like she was paralyzed.

Nick directed ace to fly more towards the side, not wanting to get too close.

"Come on," Chasity ordered the both of them, taking off into the air with them. She was pretty quick at getting up there and flew right in the path that the two of them were trying to go."Where are you headed fellas?"

Nick tensed up and shot a quick glance to ace, half wanting him to run. He cursed himself in his head and watched chastity. “Why do you deal with the school and everything they put you through?” He asked, hoping to catch chastity off guard.

“Don’t you get sick of it? I doubt they treat you any better than they treated us.” He said lowly. Nick watched her. “She’s nowhere near by..”

"Well I'm not locked in a cage, am I?" Chasity replied with a roll of her eyes, patting Hunt's arm a little bit and she flew around him slowly,"Well I'm gonna need you to turn your little butt back around and go grab her for me, bring her here."

“Most of the time. If you control Minds, they likely can mess with yours too.” He muttered, resisting her orders. “I want them let go then. Hunt and Faye and Ace all get to go. Left alone. You get me and Hailey.” He told her. Nick had spoken with Ethan about keeping the rest of his flock safe before they’d left, making sure they’d get them somewhere else if needed.

Chasity chuckled a little at Nick's words, thinking on it for a moment before shaking her head. She grabbed a knife that was hooked around her leg, holding it.
"No Nick, how about instead you go and get me Hailey," she said, stopping for a moment before she took the knife and stabbed Hunt direction in the arm with it. He didn't even move though, didn't flinch or anything,"Go get me Hailey and I won't kill Hunt over here."

Nick frowned, Moving and blocking ace before he could fly at chastity and hunt. “Okay. I’ll get her. But then you’re gonna let the rest of my flock go. You’re not taking us all..” he answered calmly, trying to figure it out.

"Go get me Hailey and I'll decide who to let go, if anyone, once you get her here," Chasity said to him, taking the knife out of Hunts arm but kept it pointing at him in case they tried anything.

Nick glanced at ace. “stay but don’t cause any trouble.” He said quietly, trying to figure out how to save his flock. He turned and flew back quickly to get Hailey. He debated lying to her about what had happened, unsure.
