Ace was still keeping watch. He didn’t know what else he could do to help any of them so it was best to just stay away and try and protect them.

Nick slept for a while before waking up. He sighed and sat up, opening his eyes. He was definitely hurting but he forced himself to get up and move, glancing around and making sure everyone was still there.

Victor looked at Nick when he finally woke up, smiling at him.
"How do you feel?" he asked him, grabbing one of the water bottles near him and handing it over to him. He probably didn't feel very good.

Nick thanked him and took the water. “I’m fine.” He lies easily, moving a bit to stretch out his sore muscles. “We probably need to go get supplies and get moving soon.” He mumbled quietly after a minute, glancing at Hailey.

Victor nodded his head, seeing that he turned to look at Hailey.
"She's outside with Zar," he informed him.

Currently the two were a little bit outside of the cave, still pretty level with it though so they would be able to be seen. Hailey was holding her own with keeping herself up and Zar was hovering close by, her arms out in case she needed to catch her.

Nick thanked him. He went to the cave entrance and waited for Hailey to notice him. He didn’t want to startle her and cause her to fall.

Hailey had been keeping herself up for a while now, but she was starting to get a little tired. It was only about 2 minutes after Nick woke up that she was starting to slowly go down a little bit.
"Zar," she called her over and Zar was right there, taking her hands and holding onto her so she could stop for the moment. She glanced over and happened to notice Nick, flying over to the entrance with Hailey, setting her down on her feet.

Hailey, out of breath, noticed Nick was there.
"Hey. How you feeling?" she questioned after a second.

Nick shrugged at her. “I’m Fine. I know we need supplies so I’m gonna head back to the cabin to get what I can.” He told her quietly, shrugging. “We need to figure out what we’re gonna do next or where to go.”

"Yeah Faye and I talked about it. Take her with you. I already told her if you see anything weird there, happen to see anyone, get the hell outta there fast," Hailey said, catching her breath after a moment,"We cant's risk running into Hunt again right now, he'll beat us up again for sure."

“They aren’t gonna stick around. They likely took Hunt back to the school.” He muttered. “But okay.” He turned and asked Faye to get ready to go before glancing at Hailey. “I’ll get the essentials. Where do we want to try and go next though?”

"I'm just saying, if you do," Hailey replied, staying at the entrance of the cave with Zar,"I don't know where quite yet. Somewhere we haven't gone before though. Hunt knows about where we were gonna be moving to so I think we need to go opposite way, somewhere different."

“Somewhere warm?” He suggested quietly. Nick stretched his arms, trying to ignore the pain. “Well get supplies and then make a plan. I don’t think we should be here very much longer.” He agreed softly with her, waiting for Faye to get ready.

"Somewhere warm would be nice," Hailey replied with a chuckle, nodding at his next words,"Sounds good. Just don't hurt yourself going over there and rest if you happen to get tired. Don't need you passing out on Faye."

Zar moved away from the entrance after a moment and went over to Faye, touching her back gently."Be careful."

Nick smiled and nodded. “Yep. Think about that.” He agreed. “I’ll be careful. Don’t worry.” He assured. He gave her a quick hug before stepping back.

Faye cane over to them, smiling gently. “We’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” She promised.

Hailey smiled and accepted the hug from him, giving his cheek a small kiss as well.
"Did you see my over there though? I'm getting better at staying up at least," she said somewhat happily.

Zar nodded, resting her forehead against Faye's shoulder for a second before she stepped back so they could go.

Nick nodded. “Yep. You’re doing good.” He complimented. “I’ll see you in a bit.” He promised.

Faye hugged her close. “Well be back soon.” She promised.

Hailey smiled and nodded, moving back a little bit so Nick and Faye would be able to go.

Zar hugged her back tightly, staying close to her for a few moments before moving back as Hailey had done.

Nick waited till Faye was ready before taking off and starting to the cabin.

Faye smiled gently at Zar before flying after nick so they could go and get this over with.

"Think they're gonna be much longer?" Zar asked as she sat inside with Hailey. They had worked on her flying a little bit more after they left but Zar herself had begun to tire out so they decided to stop for the night.

"Shouldn't be," Hailey replied from her spot, scraping the rest of the ravioli she had been eating out of the can, tossing it in the garbage bag afterwards.

Ace had let Zar take over the watch while he got a quick nap but he was watching again by the time nick and Faye we’re finally on the way back.

Nick flew back with Faye. They’d taken their time getting to the cabin and making sure there wasn’t anyone there. They got all the essentials they could get before coming back, not noticing chastity following them.

Hailey looked over when she heard the two of them land at the entrance of the cave, her shoulders, that had been tense, relaxed significantly when she saw them unharmed.
"Everything go okay?" she asked them as they came further in.

Nick let Faye land first, following after her as they both set down a few bags. “We got all the essentials we could. Didn’t have any trouble.” He assured hailey.

Faye landed and set the stuff down. She yawned and stretched.

"Good, we were getting a little worried cause you weren't back yet," Hailey replied to them, standing up to give a little look see at what they had gotten.

Even though they thought they had gotten in and out of there with no trouble, there was someone that had been watching them. Chasity had waited until they were back in the cave to fly up towards them, seeing they had someone on watch but she wasn't bothered by that.

Nick nodded slightly. “We just kinda took our time and a long way back..” he reassured.

Ace glanced at chastity when she flew up. “Hey!” He called out to get the others attention, getting up to grab her and get her out of there.

Hailey nodded at his words, looking up however when she heard Ace shout though and she noticed the girl from before right away.

"Oh sit down,"Chasity rolled her eyes at Ace, putting her hand out and getting her way inside his mind easily, making him get down on his knees as she landed softly on the cliff.

Zar looked over as well and immediately went over to the kids, pushing them back behind her and glaring at the girl.

Ace dropped to his knees though he didn’t really want to. He couldn’t really fight it.

Nick moved, grabbing a knife and moving over towards chastity. He blocked her from getting closer to the kids or anything.

"Whoa there buddy," Chasity said, looking over at Nick and raising her arm to him as well, controlling his hands and making him drop the knife he had gotten,"Violent bunch are you not. I'm here to talk. i do have Hunt in the woods with me right now, I can make him come up here and kick all your asses."

Hailey got up and moved closer to the girl as well, glaring daggers at her.
"Give him back," she said to her.

Nick dropped the knife but stayed in front of the others. “Why are you doing this?” He asked.

Faye moved back close to the younger kids.

"I will not be giving him back for one thing Hailey,"Chasity replied to her, looking over at Nick afterwards,"Because it's my job? Because the School told me to do it? The hell did you think I was doing it for."

"You don't need to listen to them. What do they have over you, huh?" Hailey asked her, thinking it was a possibility.

"Oh my God. They don't have anything over me, dumb bitch. I'm doing it because I can and I want to," Chasity replied with a roll of her eyes.

Nick sighed and listened. “You’re not going to get anything from us.” He muttered lowly. He stayed tensed up and trying to protect the others.

"Well I already got one," Chasity said with a shrug of her shoulder, grinning at them,"And I've come with a proposition for you. My boss isn't too happy that I was able to snag one of the girls earlier. So, here's my deal. Give me one of your girls and I'll leave the rest of you alone."

Hailey looked at her as she spoke more, hearing the deal that she was trying to play off to them and he looked over at Nick in shock. One of the girls? Why one of the girls specifically?

Nick shook his head. He moved closer to chastity, keeping her away from the girls. “You’re a girl. They can just use you. You’re not taking any one else from my flock.” He said lowly.

Chasity chuckled and shook her head, giving him an almost bitter look."No no, they want one of the original girls, from the first batch of avian hybrids that were successfully made. That would be Hailey, Zar and Faye." Cass and Victor both had been made slightly different from the other ones so they were sorta in the second generation category.

Hailey shook her head, glaring daggers at the other girl. What the hell was wrong with them?

Nick shook his head. “You’re not taking one of our girls.” He said lowly. He stayed blocking her.

Faye glanced at the others, unsure what to do. She didn’t want Zar or Hailey to go which sorta made her think that she should go.

Chasity sighed from Nick's words, shaking her head. Although she was able to hear everyone's thoughts in the room so she picked up on what Faye was thinking and she grinned.
"I guess I worded my previous statement wrong. It's not a proposition, it's a demand. I'm taking one of your girls," she said, getting inside of all of their minds and forcing everyone down to the ground, everyone but Faye.

Hailey grunted when she was suddenly down on her knees, confused and she tried to stand up but she couldn't.
"No...dammit!" she cursed, scared to hell that they were gonna take Zar again.

Zar went down as well, wincing from the pain in her legs. She noticed that Faye hadn't been forced down and she looked up at her in confusion.

Nick struggled a bit more but he dropped to his knees as well. He watched worriedly, unable to move.

Faye glanced around as everyone dropped. “It’ll be okay. I’m protecting my family.” She assured though her voice sounded a bit flatter than normal.

Zar knew right away that something was wrong with Faye. She had done the same thing to her that she did to Hunt.
"No! No no, don't take her please! Please!" she begged the girl, struggling to stand herself up but it was no use.

"Faye?" Hailey question once she heard her voice, craning her head as much as she could so she could see her,"Faye what are you doing?"

"She can't hear you," Chasity said with a grin, motioning towards her with her hand so Faye would come to her.

Nick watched Faye worriedly.

Ace struggled to try and stand but he couldn’t really move.

Faye simply shook her head. She moved to follow chastity.

"No no no, stop! Let her go!" Zar continued to scream and plead with Chasity, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Not gonna happen," Chasity said, moving towards the entrance of the cave with Faye,"Like I said, we'll leave you alone for a while and maybe we'll even return her and Hunt. Someday." She opened up her wings then and, with Faye following her, flew off towards the woods and after a second, the hold on everyone's body had been released and they could move again.

Faye took off and flew after chastity without questioning it at all.

Nick got to his feet as soon as the hold wore off but he couldn’t even spot where they’d gone. He cursed lowly, barely stopping himself from chasing them. He couldn’t fight Hunt in his current situation.

Zar was not quite as smart as Nick was, as soon as the hold was released on her she ran to the entrance of the cave, opening her wings to go after them.

"Zar no, Nick grab her!" Hailey yelled as she got up as well, going over and checking on the kids to make sure they were okay. They hadn't been harmed but still.
