"Got into his head, how is that even possible?" Zar asked from her spot. If they got to Hunt, would it be possible that they could get to another one of them as well?Hailey shook her head, not understanding it either. But...there was something Nick said to her that made her think about it for a second.
"Oh my God Nick, that girl, the girl that was with Hunt. You said that she was out maneuvering you when you were flying," she said, looking back at him as he went to take care of her wing,"Do you think she can read minds? Cause if she can read mind, whats to say she couldn't get in them too?"
Nick listened to Hailey before nodding. “I suppose it’s possible..” he agreed quietly as he thought more about it. “That would explain how Hunt knew where to go to try and chase you. She told him in his mind..” he suggested faintly. “And they must’ve locked onto his anger for me and used it to get control.” He reasoned. He gently started looking over haileys wing, trying to figure out how best to wrap it.

"It makes sense I mean, what the hell else is the point of her being with him. He was protecting her too, when I ran into her. He came over to help her so fast. She's gotta have some kind of hold over him," Hailey replied, wincing from the pain on her wing."What girl are you two talking about?" Zar asked, not having seen who they were talking about before they ran away.
Nick nodded, gently touching and moving her wing. “When I was looking for Hunt, some erasers grabbed me. This girl was in charge. About faye’s height, white hair and white wings. They were hoping to snag victor or Cass for something but we’re then gonna take me. I don’t know what they want with Hunt.” He explained quietly.

Zar listened to Nicks explanation and furrows her eyebrows."An avian working with the School? What's up with that," she questioned, wincing when she tried to move a little bit.
"I thought so too, she must have been raised and made there like the Erasers, probably why she's listening to the school and doing what they want," Hailey replied, gripping onto her shirt as Nick messed around with her wings.
(( I am back on my mobile so again, sorry for any error haha I'm also watching something so I'm gonna be ghosting. ))
Nick shrugged. “I dunno. I’ll think more and figure it out later. But I’ve gotta take care of Hailey’s wing and get all the blood off me first.” He mumbled quietly. He had Faye come over and help him, moving Hailey’s wing gently to straighten out the bones and help so she’d be able to close her wings again. He tried to be as gentle as he could. (It’s all good. Don’t worry about any errors xD enjoy whatever you’re watching!))

Hailey nodded, driving to be quiet for the moment so he could work. She made small noises of discomfort as they worked on her wing, obviously in pain but she never once told them to stop. They needed to get her sorted out after all so Nick could get taken care of as well. He had lost way more blood then she did, he was more hurt.
Nick talked gently to her as he worked. He got the bones lined up and wrapped her wing pretty good. “Okay. Try and close them? I think I moved whatever was pinched so it should be alright.” He assured her faintly, glancing over her wings.

Hailey nodded, taking a deep breath before she tried to close up her wings. It was easier to move them, actually possible, but it was so painful. She whimpered from the pain, but he kept on working on keeping them closed, knowing that she needed to otherwise it would heal funny. It took a little bit and she ended up beginning to cry a bit, but she managed to do it. Letting out a small sob, she wiped at her cheeks, not wanting to openly cry in front of everyone.Zar got up once Hailey got her wings closed, her legs hurting but it wasn't terrible. She went and got two bottles of water, setting them down next to Nick and Hailey so they could each have one.
Nick frowned. “I can probably bandage them down to keep them shut if that would be easier for you.” He offered gently. He reached to grab some more bandages, frowning as he noticed the blood all over his arms.

"I'm fine," Hailey said with a shake of her head, wiping the tears away from her face again. It was burning like crap, but now that they were closed it was easier."Okay, lemme help you clean up your arms.""I was gonna say, there's a lot of blood on your arms Nick, I can't even tell where you're hurt," Zar said, getting the first aid kit for Hailey.
Nick sighed. “Erasers have stupidly sharp claws.” Nick muttered faintly, moving his arms as he tried to locate the wounds. “I just need a wet cloth and I’ll clean up the blood, then it’ll be easier.” He mumbled. He moved and sat down on the floor of the cave, feeling pretty exhausted.

"I can do it for you, you're too tired," Hailey replied to him, accepting the kit from Zar. She did also take one of the water bottles Zar had turned them and wet a spare cloth they kept in the kit. She sat down in front of him and started carefully cleaning up his arms for him, trying to see where he was hurt.
Nick hesitated before nodding, holding his arms out for her. Most of the wounds were on his upper arms, a few long deep scratches from when he’d struggled against them and then some other smaller punctures from when the erasers had dug their claws in to hold him. “That is kinda a lot of blood.” He agreed quietly. “I might need a nap before a supply run.”

"We can forget about the supply run. As soon as we're rested up a little bit, we need to get out of here. We can't go back to the cabin, Hunt knows where it is," Hailey replied, wiping off the blood from Nick as much as possible before she started cleaning his sounds and patching them up as well. She glanced up after a moment towards the front of the cave."Ace? You okay over there?" She was worried about him.
Nick shrugged and closed his eyes. He trusted that Hailey could get him patched up even if he passed out. Now that the adrenaline had worn off, he just wanted to sleep. “Let me know when you’re done.” He mumbled to Hailey. Ace shrugged slightly at her. “I’m fine. Just sore. I’m just keeping watch.” He assured her softly.

"Okay, sleep if you want to. I'll take care of you," Hailey replied to him, continuing to do so. Hearing Ace's words, she nodded her head."Okay." She was just worried about him, they hadn't been able to bring back Hunt after all. That was Ace's best friend, boyfriend now. It had to suck pretty hard. But she tried not to think about that too much as she was cleaning up Nick's arms.
Nick nodded and kept his eyes closed. He relaxed for a bit, biting his bottom lip to hide how sore he was as she cleaned up and wrapped his arms. Ace kept watching outside. He knew Hunt wasn’t coming back but he still felt like he needed to keep an eye out for him just in case.

Hailey worked as quick as she could so that Nick would be able to get the rest that he needed, but she also wanted to make sure that all of the cuts were cleaned thoroughly. It took about 10 minutes before he was all wrapped up and cleaned of blood, though she wasn't sure he wasn't hurt anywhere else."Anything else need cleaned? Did you get hurt somewhere else?" she asked him.
Zar moved over carefully to the entrance of the cave where Ace was, offering a small smile over to him.
"We'll get him back you know," she said to him, voice soft. He had hurt her, yes, but she wasn't gonna hold that against him. If he really was being controlled like Hailey and Nick though, then it wasn't his fault.
Nick shrugged. “I dunno.” He mumbled quietly, barely opening his eyes. “I don’t think I’m bleeding anywhere at least.” He added after a moment, closing his eyes again. “I’m gonna look like shit though.”Ace glanced over when Zar joined him. “Maybe. That won’t change much if we can’t get him back. He. It was like he was just a body, even me being in front of him had no effect.” He mumbled quietly.

Hailey listened to his words, chuckling slightly from them."Your arms are going to look like they went through a cheese grater that's for sure," she replied, giving a quick check all around him to see if anything else was bad. She cleaned up his face for him quickly, since Hunt had gotten in a few good hits, and then reached for the unopened bottle of water."Drink this and then you get go to sleep, okay?"
Zar looked down at the ground as Ace was talking, slowly and carefully lowering herself down next to him.
"I know. It's not him though you know? Hunt would never do what he just did, ever," she replied.
Nick closed his eyes and winced slightly as she cleaned up his face. He stayed still until she finished up. “Thanks..” he mumbled faintly, grabbing the water and getting it open. He drank a lot of it before setting it back beside him. Ace shrugged. “Maybe. But depending on what they’ve done to him, he might not come back as the same. He might never be our Hunt again.” He mumbled quietly, glancing over at her.

Hailey nodded, reaching forward and smoothing his hair back a little bit."Get some sleep, okay? You need it," she said. He was the most hurt of them all, he had lost so much blood.
"Maybe. But you can't really let yourself think about that, you know?" Zar replied, picking at a loose string on her pants,"Even if we get him back and he's a little different, he's still Hunt. He's still part of the team, yeah?"
“That’s my plan. Wake me up in a week.” Nick muttered quietly. He shifted and laid down on the cave floor, finding a somewhat comfortable spot before dozing off. Ace shrugged. “True. But he attacked us. That’s not just gonna go away. He hurt you. He broke Hailey’s wing. And he beat the shit out of Nick. That’s not really an okay thing..” he mumbled, looking around.

Hailey smiled at his words, watching as he laid down. She bent down and gave him a small kiss on the forehead, turning after she was done and doing a little check of what they had. They had some supplies here, but not enough that would last. It hurt every time that she moved her back or her right arm, which was the side that were wing was broken."I know. Honestly, Hunt's probably gonna be more messed up about it then any of us are. I mean I'm not mad at him for hurting me, you know? And Nick and Hailey, well they'll get over it even if they are a little mad at him now," Zar replied,"I would rather have him back with us and work on getting him to not feel bad about it then have him with them, you know?"
Nick slept soundly for a while. Faye glanced to Hailey and frowned as she checked the supplies. “In a bit, nick and I can probably run to the cabin and get some supplies. Then we’ll figure out our next move.” She offered softly, knowing Hailey couldn’t fly so they’d have to probably stay put.
Ace sighed softly. “I know. And I certainly don’t want him stuck with them. But I also feel like things aren’t gonna be okay after this. Even if he gets back to us.”

Hailey looked over at Faye when she offered this, not really wanting anyone to go near that cabin."Hunt beat the shit out of us today," she said after being silent for a moment,"I don't know how he did it, but if we run into him again, especially in the condition we're in, we're gonna loose no doubt about it. So if you and Nick see even the slightest thing wrong at that cabin, you need to run, alright?"
"Maybe," Zar replied, thinking for a moment before she spoke up again,"We won't know until it happens though."
Faye nodded. “Yeah. Of course. But once nick rests, he can probably use his abilities and that’ll help us get in and out. We’re kinda stuck here for a bit until you can fly so we’re gonna need supplies.” She assured. Ace nodded. “Yeah. True..” he agreed, running a hand through his messy hair.

"You have a good point, but if that girl with him really can read minds, it's not gonna be too long before they find us. We need to leave as soon as possible, even if it's without me for the moment. I can lay low as long as needed," Hailey replied, knowing that she potentially could use her new powers to fly herself around with the others, but that would require her actually being able to stay off the ground for more than 5 seconds at a time.Zar was silent for a moment before reaching over at patting Ace's back.
"Why don't you go and get some rest? I can take watch," she suggested, smiling softly.
“No. We are staying as a flock.” Faye told her immediately. “We’ll get some supplies and nick can carry you if we have to. But we’re sticking together..” she wasn’t going to let them split up even further. They had to stay as a team. Ace shook his head. “No. It’s okay. I can keep watch for a bit longer.” He assured. “Thank you though.”

Looked like Nick was already asleep, which was good."Do you want me to get you a water or something?"
Faye sighed. “Stop. We are not splitting this flock up even further.” She mumbled to her, shaking her head. “Stop acting like that’s an option. You know what they’d do if they caught you and were not gonna go through with that. Ace shook his head. “No. I’m okay.” He assured softly.

"It is an option, it's a damn good option too cause if they catch me, chances are they'll forget about you guys for a little while to deal with me. It's not my first option to take, but it is one and you have to accept that you might have to," Hailey said to her, standing up from her spot slowly and wincing from the pain. Damn this broken wing sucked."Alright," Zar replied, staying for a moment before before she got up and went back further into the cave, frowning though. It looked like Hailey and Faye were arguing about something.
Faye rolled her eyes and didn’t answer. She looked away, checking on the kids and everyone else. Ace kept watch quietly, staying near the cave entrance. He’d sorta heard the girls conversation but didn’t get in the middle of it.

Hailey sighed after they were done talking, looking over at Zar came into the cave more."Are you feeling alright?" she asked the girl as she came in more.
"Yeah. I'm a little sore, but I'm okay," Zar replied to Hailey, glancing over at Faye for a moment.
"Good, cause I need your help with something for a little bit," Hailey said to her, motioning back towards the entrance of the cave.
Zar was a little bit confused but she did follow Hailey.
Faye raised an eyebrow at Zar and Hailey but kept her mouth shut. She couldn’t start a bigger fight. That was the last thing they needed right now if they were gonna stick together and figure how to get somewhere safe.

Hailey and Zar went to the entrance where Ace was and stepped just a little bit off to the side, Hailey turning to Zar afterwards."I need your help, I need to practice my skill. Telekinesis or whatever the hell you can call it," she said to her.
Zar raised her eyebrows a bit, glancing back to Ace for a second before looking back at Hailey.
"Shouldn't you be resting instead?" she said. She knew that Hailey was upset about her wings being broken, anyone would be after all. Now she wanted to work on flying again?
"Zar, I can't fly. I can't move my wings and I won't be able to for at least a month," she replied with a shake of her head,"If we need to get out of here, we need to get out of here fast. I can't slow everyone down, alright? I need to practice on this."
Ace listened to them. “You won’t slow us down hailey. Nick or I can easily carry you and we’ll be fine.” He promised her quietly. He glanced over and watched them as they kept talking.

"Something extra that you guys need to carry. That's me slowing you down Ace, that's be being a liability," Hailey replied to him with a shake of her head,"I already told Faye that if it comes down to you, you guys need to leave me ass here. I don't want it to come to that so that's why I need to work on this, alright?"Zar listened to her words, thinking about them for a moment before she sighed.
"I don't think any of us would leave you here Hailey even if it did put us in more danger. But I will help you work on this," she said with a nod at her.
Ace glared. “If you really want to end up dead or captured, why don’t you just go hand yourself over to the erasers? We’re supposed to stay together. We’ve carried others of our flock when they’re unconscious or whatever. Don’t act like you’re special and can get left behind when you wouldn’t leave us behind.” He told her lowly, knowing nick would say the same thing.

Hailey listened to Ace's retort, sighing heavily and running her hands over her face."Look I'm not saying that I want to, you and Faye, you're acting like it's what I want. I don't. But I'd rather me be in danger then the rest of you, alright?" she said, shaking her head,"But if I work on this now and I'm able to use it then that won't have to happen, okay?"
(I’ll be kinda sketchy with replies for the next four hours while I’m in class and then a lab) Ace shook his head. “Then work on your abilities rather than telling us to leave you behind when you know we won’t do that.” He muttered lowly. He looked away from her and kept watching outside for a few.

Zar nodded her head."Alright, what do you need to me to?"
"I just need you to be here in case I fall, I can't catch myself right now," Hailey explained to her.
Zar nodded her head and opened up her wings, hovering just slightly in the air and motioned for Hailey to start trying to work on it.

Zar and Hailey found out that having Zar hold onto her and bring her up in the air with her was the best way to work on it. So that's what they were doing, Hailey being able to keep herself up more than she had been before."You doing okay?" Zar asked her after a second, still holding onto her hands in case she fell.
"Yeah I think so," Hailey said, slightly out of breath but she kept herself up for the moment. It was just the concentration part that was hard and the pain in her back was no helping with that.
Ace left them alone mainly. He checked on them occasionally but they were working together just fine so he stayed out of it. Faye kept the younger kids busy while they let nick rest.

(( Yup! ))It was a little while longer and Zar and Hailey were still at it outside, having taken a break about an hour ago but they were back at it outside the cave. Hailey was getting better at it and was actually able to keep herself suspended up in the air for a while, though moving was another story.
Victor was in the cave with everyone else, eating a sandwich that Faye had fixed up for him and Cass. He glanced at Nick every once in a while to check on him but otherwise let him sleep.
Nick hesitated before speaking. “They got into hunt’s head somehow. I think that’s why he was suddenly moody and attacking me especially. They gave him a target and a goal so he was just acting on that. We all tried getting through to him but it was like he couldn’t even hear us.” He explained quietly. He got the stuff for Hailey’s wing, going to take care of her first and then he’d take care of himself.
