Nick kept his arms around her loosely. He nodded slightly at her statement. “we may be family but we’re not really all siblings.” He assured faintly. They were all completely different and just stuck together because they chose to be.

"Well duh, I know that," Hailey replied with a small chuckle, looking at him and shrugging,"I just thought you viewed me as like a little sister or something." It was how she had seen Nick for a long time, just like a brother. But that changed sometime within the last few years...
Nick shook his head. “You’re practically the same age as I am. Not really a little sister..” he said faintly, shrugging st her. “The younger ones seem more like siblings. But. But not you..” he admitted. He kept his arms around her, wanting to kiss her again.

Hailey listened to him, chuckling a little with the words he was saying. With his last ones though, he looked back over at him."Well it's good to know you don't think of someone you're kissing as a sister," she whispered with a small smile on her face.
Nick rolled his eyes. “No. Really?” He replied sarcastically. “I’ve never really felt you were like a sibling.” He told her with a shrug before pressing another quick kiss to her lips. He pulled away and smiled brightly at her.

Hailey laughed softly, her eyes being drawn to his lips again. She accepted the kiss that she got, wishing it were a little longer but she took what she got. Baby steps, they were both still very new to this after all.
Nick smiled brightly at her. He kept his arms around her and his wings curled around them both. “We’ll figure this out..” he assured faintly with a shrug, not worried about it. They may not have like a normal relationship but they would make it work for them.

"I know. It's not like we have a lot of reference on how to do this whole thing," Hailey replied with a chuckle and a shrug,"But it's fine. We'll do it just fine our way." Sighing contently, she relaxed there with Nick and just looked at the sky.
Nick nodded. “Yep.” He kept an arm around her, glancing back down at the clearing that surrounded the house and the forest around that. “Do you want to keep it secret from the others?” He asked quietly.

Hailey had been thinking about that, wondering how everyone would react and everything. She had given it a lot of thought and she really wasn't sure."I mean...I don't see anything wrong with them knowing. But you have a say in it too, so what do you wanna do?" she asked, looking over at him.
Nick shrugged. “I doubt they’re gonna care honestly..” he admitted. “So maybe we just don’t make it obvious or really try to hide it and then if they catch on, they catch on and that’s that?” He suggested, shrugging at her. He doubted that anyone would have a problem with it. The other teenagers seemed like they probably suspected it already.

"I don't think they'll care either," Hailey replied with a smile. She reached up and fixed a piece of hair that had fallen into his face."I'm pretty sure most of them suspect something, especially Hunt and Faye, which mean Zar does too and probably Ace too. So yeah, sounds good to me."
Nick smiled and leaned into her touch without even thinking about it. He just loved the contact Nd the closeness between them. It was calming after all the problems lately. “Yeah. You’re probably right. And hunt and ace have been acting weird lately anyways too. Have you noticed that?” He asked her curiously, getting sidetracked from talking about them.

Hailey noticed when he did and smiled, stroking his cheek quickly and gently before withdrawing her hands."Yeah I noticed, I dunno what's up. I told them to make up with one another and it seemed like they might have for a little bit there. But I'm still not sure what's going on with them," she replied.
“Hmm. That’s good. Ish. We’ll have to wait and see. Or ask one of the girls later. They probably know.” He commented. Nick looked away from her and back around them. “Those two seem to know most everything honestly. They’re like that in tune with everything. It’s impressive.”

"The girls? They really are, I dunno how they do it. And they can read one another easier than any of us can," Hailey replied, thinking about it. But, really, it shouldn't be that surprising. Zar and Faye had been together for years since they had a crate right next to one another and, after the incident with the scientist, they actually shared one for a long time. Faye always protected Zar and Zar was always sweet and appreciative of her in return.
“They’ve been close so long. That’s probably why.” Nick agreed. “They’re constantly in tune with each other. It’s good for them at least..” he commented, keeping watch around them. “But Besides them knowing each other, they know the rest of us pretty well too.. or can tell what’s going on.”

"Yeah that's true too. Their very...almost sensitive to our feelings too, both of them," Hailey replied, looking down at her nails. They were really dirty underneath. Grabbing the small pocket knife she had in her pocket, she opened it and started carefully cleaning under them."I wonder if that's just them or something the Whitecoats did to them."
Nick shrugged at her. “It’s probably some mix of both. Could just be genetics. And then them being together, they probably just got more in tune with their emotions and each other’s. Or it’s an ability.” He theorized softly, shrugging at her. He glanced over and watched her clean her nails.

Nick shrugged. “They probably didn’t even expect for us to.” He admitted. “It was probably some other random genes they threw in us, doubting it would do anything.” He guessed quietly. “I guess we’ll find out if the others get them too eventually.”

"Yeah, I figured we would've been dead by now honestly. The Erasers expire after all, so maybe we have one too. An expiration date," Hailey replied, the thought making her shiver slightly. It was something she had always thought about and it wouldn't surprise her if they had an end date.
Nick shrugged. “Maybe. But hopefully it doesn’t like show up on the back of our necks. Cause I honestly don’t want to know.” He admitted softly. It didn’t freak him out really. But he didn’t want to know because the dread would be horrible. Plus, he’d rather just spend his last days happy and normal instead of trying to face his impending doom. He leaned his head on her shoulder.

"Yeah good point, I don't think I'd wanna know either," Hailey replied. Sure, there were probably some benefits of knowing when you were gonna die, but she wouldn't be able to handle the knowing herself, Sighing, she finished cleaning the nails on one hand before moving to do the other one, smiling when Nick leaned his head on her shoulder.
Nick watched her quietly. “Careful not to stab yourself.” He teased faintly, watching her. He looked around them and stayed there with his head on her shoulder. It was nice to just be close to her for a bit and not have to be on edge. This place felt pretty safe at least and he hadn’t seen anything suspicious

"I won't," Hailey replied with a chuckle, glancing over at him. She looked at him a moment before leaning down and kissing his cheek softly, going back to what she was doing afterwards. Nick made her nervous and embarrassed, that much was for sure. But with a little bit of time to get use to it, well, it'll feel normal to her eventually.
Nick smiled a bit at the faint kiss. He yawned softly and stayed where he was, leaning on her as she cleaned up her nails. “You could go shower. Faye and Zar found soap apparently. They got the little ones bathed at least as far as I know..” he commented, shrugging st her.

"I figured, they needed it. We all do," Hailey replied with a small smile and sighed softly,"I'm good right now though, maybe tomorrow or something." She was mostly just focused on making sure the area was safe, making sure no one was gonna be coming for them.
Nick nodded. “Alright.” He Agreed, thinking the same thing. They could clean up tomorrow once someone else was up to keep an eye on everything. Visitors would probably be more likely during the day anyways. He stayed close and kept watch around them. (Don’t forget the other two when you have time. ^.^ )

Hailey was silent after that, just cleaning up the rest of her nails and pocketing her knife, sighing in content. It was nice here she had to admit and a good stopping point until they got somewhere else they could be. They, of course, still needed to find out what was up with the School stuff and ways to shut that down. At least, that's what she wanted to do.
(I’ll reply in an hour when I’m on break!)
Nick kept quiet, watching around them. He wanted to find some way to take down the school if he ever got a chance to but he doubted that would happen. They were just 8 kids against a giant school of scientists and all sorts of mutant creations. He ran a hand through his hair and glanced at hailey. “You should go eat..”

Hailey looked at him when he said that, shaking her head."Nah I'm alright for now. I will eat sometime in the next 2 hours though, I can promise you that," she said with a small laugh, looking at him for a moment. She was glad that they managed to get stuff sorted out, it had been iffy there for a while. But now, well, everything seemed well.
Nick nodded. “I’ll hold you to that.” He teased lightly, smiling a bit. That was one thing he was good about paying attention to, making sure everyone was alright and had eaten and such. Hailey was better at making sure they all did, he just noticed if they didn’t. He leaned on her gently, smiling.

((Okay!))Nick sat outside, perched up on the roof to keep watch. It was still somewhat early in the morning so it was quiet outside except for all the animals and birds that lived around. He looked around and listened, thinking he heard a car. He moved and got up, easily taking off and flying up high and around the house. He saw a car coming down the long drive to the house and swore, diving back down. He landed just outside the door and quickly came in. “Guys! We gotta go!” He called out loudly.

Hailey was sitting in the living room, working on doing Cass' hair in a braid for her. It had been a while since she had actually sat down for some quality time with the little girl after all. Looking up when Nick came in though, she frowned but immediately stood up."What's going on?" she asked.
Hunt, who was slouched lazily on the couch eating a banana, also looked up right away when Nick came in. He glanced up at Ace, whom he was currently using as a pillow, wondering what could possibility be up now.
“We’ve got a car coming down that long driveway now. So we need to get out. Unless they go off road, they’re coming here.” He told hailey. He knew she trusted him so he went upstairs to get the other two girls. “Girls, come on, We need to leave.” He told them. Ace frowned and groaned slightly. “I don’t wanna.” He complained but he shifted and got up, glancing to Hailey to see what she needed them to do or if they just needed to head out.

Boys you go to the kitchen and pack that food up quick quick quick, we don't want them to know that we were here," Hailey replied as she stood up and started fixing up the couches,"Cass, Vince you guys pick up all your toys and put them in the bags. Run into mine and the boys rooms are grab our bags too."Vince nodded and headed off to do that, gathering up Hailey, Nick, Ace and Hunts bags from the rooms they were staying in.
Zar had been taking a nap when Nick came into the room, snuggled up with Faye. When Nick came in though she woke up instantly, her brain taking a moment to process his words.
"What's up?" she asked as she pushed herself off the bed, already jamming her shoes on.
Ace nodded. He slipped out from under hunt and quickly went to the kitchen, doing as she said. He quickly packed up the food. Cass cleaned up her and Vince’s stuff, keeping quiet. She didn’t want to leave again but she kept her mouth shut.
“We’ve got someone coming. So we need to go. Get your bags, clean up s bit if you can. And then we’ll need to get out. There’s a little bit of time but still just hurry..”
