Ace landed easily. “Yep. Pretty impressive, huh?” He Agreed with the girl with a light smile. He handed over the bag before glancing at the others. “It’s okay.” He assured, trusting Hailey that she knew what she was doing and that things weren’t gonna worse as a result of this. Faye stayed by Zar, keeping the kids with them. “Care to explain why you brought a complete stranger here Hailey?” She questioned. If it was to help Nick, she’d appreciate it but would still call Hailey an idiot for bringing the stranger around all of them instead of just nick who needed them. She was trying to find the best and safest medium for them all.

"To do what you wanted use to do, get help for Nick," Hailey replied to Faye, pointing to the girl,"This is Brandie, she's a nursing intern that's going to school to be a surgeon. I brought her here cause, if Nick is anything like me, he wouldn't go meet someone in town. So bringing her to him was the only thing we could do."Brandie smiled sweetly at Ace and took her bag, looking towards everyone else and biting her lip gently.
"Hailey explained a little bit about the...situation to me. Not everything I imagine, but enough. And I promise all of you that I won't tell a single person about you guys. I like helping people and, to be honest, have always been interested in fantasy type books. This kinda sounds like one," she said with a small chuckle,"Probably why this isn't phasing me so much."
Hunt listened to everything that was being said and he nodded his head a bit, however he did not relax. He trusted Hailey and Ace however and if they brought someone here, then Nick must be pretty bad. That didn't mean he needed to trust this girl just yet though.
“Nick is like you. But he wouldn’t risk us just to help himself. Anyways, he crashed not long after you left. We haven’t been able to get him up at all. Won’t respond or open his eyes or anything.” Faye replied softly. She shrugged. Ace sighed at Faye. “That’s enough. You’re not in charge and we’re doing what you wanted. Chill..” he told her lowly. He then looked back to brandie. “Here. He’s over here.” He led the way over to nick, noticing how he was under the the two thick blankets. He sat down by him and tried to wake him.

Hailey knew that, at this point, there was gonna be no pleasing Faye. Everything she did tried to do, well, she would see the bad in it. And that was fine cause right now, she only cared about Nick. She walked with Brandie and Ace over to where Nick was sleeping, looking at Brandie."He may react negatively at first, but don't hold it against him, alright? None of us are familiar with outsiders."Brandie listened to her words and nodded her head in understanding.
"Okay, I'll try to take it slow with him," she replied, waiting for Ace to wake him up.
Hunt bit his lip and did go over to them, keeping an eye on Brandie as he did so and he stood on the other side of Nick just so he could watch her.
Faye stayed by Zar and the two younger kids, keeping them away from the stranger. Just to be safe. Ace rubbed nicks shoulder, talking to him and trying to wake him up. “Hey.. nick. You gotta get up now.” He said, frowning when he got no response. He glanced up at Hailey. “Usually just a touch will get something out of him.” He commented, a bit concerned. He waited on Hailey to decide what to do.

"He must be pretty out of it," Hailey replied, bending down so she was kneeling next to Nick,"Nick, you need to wake up now. We got some help for you." To maybe help this, she took some water on her hands and dripped it onto his eyes, since it was a highly sensitive part of peoples body, might do some good to wake him.
Nick blinked a bit but didn’t open his eyes or seem like he was gonna wake up at all. He mumbled something incomprehensible. Ace frowned. “He feels really warm..” he commented to Hailey, moving to try the same thing that had woken him when he passed out and fell. That got a bit more of a reaction but nick seemed adamant about not waking up.

Hailey frowned and looked over to Brandie for some help, maybe she had an idea."Here, let me see him for a moment. He's responding to some things so that's good. Whatever infection he may have is probably preventing him from waking," Brandie said, feeling his forehead. He was indeed quite warm. She then felt his arms down a bit, rolling up his sleeve. After moving her fingers around for a moment, she kept one finger there and reached into her bag, grabbing a container of what looked like needles."I also study acupuncture. There are some nerves that we can poke and they relax us, others that we can poke and, well, it send alarm signals to the brain. Not ideal of course, however if you really need someone to wake up, well, it's effective." She took one of the small, long needles and pricked Nick gently with it, going to withdraw it as soon as he woke up of course.
Nick was, of course, jolted awake by the needle. He came up swinging, his arm jerking away before she could take the needle. Ace blocked nick before he could throw a weak punch. “Hey. Hey. Easy. We’re trying to help you. We needed you awake..” ace reassured gently, looking st him. He reached and took the needle out as nick slumped back down, seeming to barely have the energy to keep his eyes open. He let them slide shut but stayed conscious for the moment.
Ace glanced at Brandie. “If you need to talk to him, I’d suggest doing it quick. He’s gonna crash again.”

Brandie shrunk back when Nick had such an intense reaction, being blocked by Ace and Hailey, who put an arm out in front of her in case Ace didn't grab him in time."Nick we need you to stay awake for a bit, there's someone you need to meet," Hailey said to him, looking over at Brandie.
Brandie swallowed and nodded her head.
"Nick? My name is Brandie, I'm a nurse that's here to help you. Can you tell me a little more about how you're feeling, what hurts the most? Anything like that?" she asked him.
Nick barely seemed to register the fact that Hailey had brought a stranger to where he was. He listened to them and it took a moment before he slowly got our a response. “Cold. Tired. Everything hurts. Now let me sleep.” He summarized for her. Ace stayed sitting by nick, flicking his arm repeatedly. He was just trying to annoy him enough so he’d stay awake. He shot a concerned glance at Hailey, raising an eyebrow st how nick responded.

"Nick please, stay awake okay? You're sleeping a little bit much, it's worrying us," Hailey said, moving behind him to offer some sorta of support so he didn't have to hold himself up."Okay, alright. Well I'm gonna go ahead and look at your leg now. I'm sorry if any of this hurts," Brandie said, reaching for her stuff. She put on her gloves and rolled up the pants on the leg Hailey pointed to, unwrapping the bandage. She grimaced when she saw it, already having a feel of what it was.
Nick didn’t answer. He felt Hailey move close and moved his hand slightly to look for her but he stopped when he felt someone touching his leg. He kept still. The wound looked about the same as it had that morning, nothing had really changed other than how much nick was sleeping. Ace stayed where he was, watching brandie as she began to look over his leg. “We’ve been cleaning it often. Gave some antibiotics too.” He explained.

Hailey looked back at him and offered a small smile."Hey you, it's alright. Just stay awake for a little bit longer okay?" she said, rubbing his arms gently.
"Good, that's all good moves. But I think the problem is how it was stitched up," Brandie said, pointing around the stitching,"See that stuff oozing out of there? That makes me think that the inside of the wound wasn't properly cleaned before it had been stitched. Also, there may be something in there. Like, a deeper cut not treated or a splinter of sorts or maybe the stitching that was used wasn't good. Either way, I'm gonna have to take it off and redo it."
Nick twitched his hand in response, too tired to do much more. He started to drift back off but ace’s pesky poking and flicking kept him semi awake. Ace nodded slightly. “We made do with what we had. He cleaned it pretty well and stitched it up. He’s one of the only ones here who can do stitches. I don’t know if there’s something in there though. It seems like he would’ve caught it.” He commented, talking to brandie and Hailey. He glanced at the wound and bit his lip. “So by redoing it, is that gonna get him better?”

"I'm sure you did, I know medical supplies out on the run can't be easy to come by. But I wanna look in their just to make sure," Brandie said with a nod, starting to get out what she needed,"Also I want to take some of our guy's blood and give it to him. Since he's probably gonna loose some once I open this back up. I'm also gonna numb it for him so he won't feel anything, okay?" She got out the needle and medicine for the numbing, beginning to work on injecting it into him."You're okay," Hailey whispered to Nick.
(( I have no idea what's wrong with him, what's wrong with him? XD I don't know doctor stuff! I'm just taking educated guesses. ))
Ace bit his lip. “Don’t we have to be like a match for that? Cause I doubt bloods can just mix if they’re different. Right?” He asked, a bit unsure but it sounded like something he’d heard before. Nick felt the needle pokes and tensed up a bit. He didn’t know really what was going on. He just knew that someone had just stuck him with a needle and all it brought back was more memories of the school. He jerked his leg away slightly.
(It’s all good. I don’t know that much medical stuff either. XD we’ll make it work.)

"Yes, the blood types do need to be matching for that. Do...you guys not know your blood types?" Brandie asked them with a slightly worried glance at them all. Ace and Hailey hadn't explained where they grew up exactly and she hadn't asked."Nick and I have the same type," Zar suddenly spoke up from her spot, looking over at them with hesitation clear in her eyes,"I remember that from the School, the doctors were talking about it once when I was around."
"Shhh shhh, she's just helping you. It's alright," Hailey said to Nick, looking at Zar when she spoke up,"Then....would you be willing to Zar? Please?"
Zar looked at Hailey and hesitated for a long couple of moments before giving a slight nod.

Ace bit his lip, listening. He hoped Zar was right because he was pretty sure a mistake with that might kill nick. “You’re sure this is going to make things better?” He asked cautiously. Nick shook his head and weakly tried to move away. “You didn’t do... what you promised...” he mumbled to Hailey slowly.
Faye watched. “Hailey. Put his head back in your lap, that helped him before. Maybe it’ll settle him down.” She suggested, getting up to help Zar over to them.

"It should, yes, if the source of all his discomfort is something here," Brandie replied, finishing numbing him up and she gave it a moment to take effect as she gathered everything that she needed,Hailey looked up when Faye spoke, not saying anything however she did let him rest in her lap.
"What do you mean Nick?" she asked.
Zar allowed Faye to help her, gripping her tightly. She didn't trust knew people, not in the slightest, and she didn't want to go near her. However, it was going to help Nick...So she needed to try it.
Ace nodded. He watched as she got stuff out. “You were going.. find a cabin.... lied..” nick said slowly, leaving out words but he figured she’d understand his groggy mind and figure it out. He forced his eyes open for a moment to glance up at her.
Faye helped Zar over there. “I’ll stay right here with you. Promise..” she assured the other girl faintly.

Hailey frowned a bit at his words but she did nod her head."I know, I know I said I was going to do that...And I was going to," she paused for a moment,"But I needed to get you taken care of first Nick.....I'm sorry I didn't go find one."
Zar nodded at Faye's words, getting her grip on her tight.
Brandie got out everything she needed, looking up at Nick.
"Alright Nick, if you feel any pain at all I need you to tell me, alright? I can always add more numbing for you," she said, waiting for a moment before she started cutting away the stitches so she could get a better look at everything.
“You didn’t stick.. to the plan..” nick mumbled, sounding a bit upset but more tired than anything. “You need to stick to it..” he told her, forcing himself to sit up so she’d get up. “I’m fine..” he lied adamantly, his vision swaying even from the small motion. He shut his eyes to fight it. He didn’t respond to anything from Brandi or her touching his leg. His mind was struggling to just focus on Hailey. Faye stayed close. She sat with Zar on the other side of nick, keeping space from brandi until they absolutely had to be near her.

"Shhh, shhh, Nick, stay down. I'm sorry I didn't stay to it, but you were too hurt," Hailey said, looking down at him. She sighed softly and bent down slightly, giving his forehead a small kiss, moving back afterwards.Brandie got all of the stitching out, most of the wound not having closed up yet, but she did snip apart the ones that had so she had full vision of what was going on inside of there. She grabbed a small flashlight she had to assist her while doing this, frowning a bit.
"I think the source of why he's feeling so bad is certainly in here. There's a lot of puss build up that came out when I reopened it. I'm not sure the exact cause of it, but it probably was from some dirt or infectious material sticking around that didn't get wiped out. I'll clean all it out and make sure there's nothing in here before I close it back up," she said to them and got to work doing just that.
“You... you lied..” nick repeated. He slumped back down, unable to even keep his head up. He felt the kiss and blushed s bit without even noticing it. He felt a bit of brandie touching his leg and he twitched and tried to pull away. Ace glanced at Hailey and rolled her eyes. “Why does it take him almost dying for you to act on your clear feelings?” He teased faintly. He looked back to nick’s leg and frowned.

"I'm sorry," Hailey repeated again, looking at Ace when he spoke and glared slightly at him, saying nothing though. She noticed the leg twitch as well and wondered if that hurt him.Brandie looked up as well and reached for her needle again, beginning to numb a bit on the inside as well so he couldn't feel any of that either. With that finished, she continued her cleaning.
Nick kept his eyes shut and seemed to still a bit, getting close to passing out again. Ace shrugged. “Just saying. It’s kinda nice that you’re getting rid of the sexual/romantic tension..” he said softly. He watched as brandie cleaned the wound. It bled quite a bit as she poked and scrubbed st it.

"I will smack you," Hailey said to him, though it was all in good favor. Well, mostly. When Nick started to fall asleep again, she flicked his arm repeatedly to keep him awake."Ace can you hand me his Gatorade?"Brandie noticed this and cleaned around it, knowing for sure he would need some blood after this. She would worry about that after she stitched him back up. Once it was clean, she had another good look at it to make sure all was well inside. She did notice a few things that hadn't come out however and she grabbed her tweasers, beginning to take them out. They were mostly clumped together, black stuff. Almost like nail.
"Is that....Eraser claw?" Hunt asked, noticing the black stuff that Brandie was picking out of his wound and he grimaced.
Nick didn’t respond to the flicks. He heard the question though. “Probably. That’s what.. grabbed me..” he mumbled. Ace reached and handed over the Gatorade. “Here..” He said softly. He glanced at the wound. “That really looks gross.” He Mumbled, looking away. He moved and got up to go sit back with the younger kids, knowing they were probably worried too and a bit freaked out.

"Disgusting," Hunt said, shivering a little bit and looking away.Brandie had no idea what they were talking about and she wasn't gonna question it. She pull out everything she could find in there and did another once over of it, cleaning it again before she sighed.
"Alright, it looks really good in there. I'm gonna stitch him back up," she said, getting her needle ready and she began to do just that.
Nick then went still again and he didn’t respond any more. Ace sat down near the kids, letting the others take care of nick.
Faye bit her lip and glanced st Hailey, hoping this would work. “You sure he’s gonna need more blood? Or is there some way around it?” She questioned, not wanting to harm Zar or even touch her if they didn’t absolutely need to

Hailey knew he was probably knocked out again, but pretty much everything was done now so i was probably okay. She just stroked his hair and watched him.
Faye watched. “I just. I’m trying to be devil’s advocate I guess. What if we aren’t fully sure that the types match? It could kill him. I don’t know. I know you don’t want needles in you either.” She Mumbled, trying to look at all sides. She didn’t want anything else bad to happen. Ace sighed and watched them. He kept quiet though, looking st Hailey.

"They match Faye, I know what I saw at the School. Hunt could also give it to him cause he's O negative, but I figured since him and I have the same type, you know, it would go better," Zar replied."I'm O negative?" Hunt questioned with a raise of his eyebrows,"Well, good to know."
"What the hell is Nick?" Hailey asked out of curiosity.
"He's A positive. So I am too. Hailey, you're O positive," Zar replied.
Brandie listened. “As long as you’re sure, we can go ahead and use you, Zar. Or we can be cautious and use you.” She said, glancing at Hunt. It’s all based on what you guys feel is best. I’m just here to do the procedural stuff.” She explained, glancing between them. Faye listened and watched. She bit her lip lightly. It seemed tense and she felt like she was the cause so she just kept her mouth shut to try and not make it worse.

(( Oh it's alright, if you wanna control her you can. ))"Me is fine, I don't mind it. Really. I just want to help Nick," Zar replied, rubbing her arm a little bit as she sat there.
"Thank you Zar. I know you don't like needles much," Hailey said with a soft smile over at her.
(I just didn’t have anything to write cause Faye is the only one staying nearby so I figured it’d be best to take her over so you wouldn’t be having conversations with yourself. :) sorry about not asking) Faye nodded and held Zar gently. “Okay. Then let’s get this over with. You’ll need some rest afterwards..” she commented.
Brandie nodded. She got out what she needed. “Okay Zar. You’re sitting in a good spot, I’m just gonna put an iv in your arm and connect it to his as well. It’s not the normal way to do it. But I don’t have a way to keep the blood from getting all messed up so direct is the best.” She explained to them.

(( It's no problem (: ))Zar listened to her words and nodded a bit, nervous very nervous, but she would do it for Nick. He needed it after all and she didn't wanna make Hunt have to do it.
"Thanks Zar," Hunt said to her, earning a small nod from her. He sighed a bit and moved so he was over with Ace, kneeling down a bit so he was eye level with him."Where the hell did you guys find her?"
:)Faye stayed close to Zar, her arms around her gently to hopefully help keep her from freaking out too much.
Brandie got one iv set up in nick’s arm first and connected the tubing. She then gently cleaned Zar’s arm and did the other iv, making sure the tube wouldn’t leak. The last thing they needed to do would be to give him or her any other infections.
Ace shrugged. “We found a small nursing college in town..” he explained. “We picked her out and started talking to her and she seemed okay enough and trusted us so we brought her back..”

Zar was tense as hell when Brandie came over to her and she needed to push her feet into the ground to keep from running away. When the needle went in, she winced and gripped tightly onto her leg, breathing heavily as she looked in between it and the girl."You're doing good Zar....Thank you for volunteering to do this," Hailey said from her spot, offering her a warm smile.
Hunt nodded at his words.
"What did you say to her? Like, how did you explain all of this to her?" he asked.
Faye held her. She kept talking gently, reassuring that everything was okay and that nothing was going to happen. Brandie moved back slightly and watched the blood flow through, biting her lip. She didn’t want to take too much or too little, wanting to help nick but not harm Zar. She didn’t know exactly what was up with this group but she felt like she’d be in trouble if she upset them.
“We told her that we had a friend who needed help. A medical thing. Promised her that she’d get to see something that she’d never see as a surgeon, an idea for a research paper sorts thing. She was interested. It would help her get a leg up in her class..” ace summarized.

Hunt nodded his head a few times as Ace explained this to him, crossing his arms over his chest."Alright. And what did she think when you guys showed her your wings?" he asked. He wasn't mad at their decisions, he was just really curious how someone could be so accepting to a thing like themselves.
Zar held onto Faye as blood was taken from her, scared, yes, but she was helping Nick. She needed to help Nick.
"Take....as much as you need...He needs it....more than I do," she forced out, biting her lower lip.
Brandie kept a close eye on them both, making sure nick wasn’t suffering from any adverse effects. She shook her head at Zar. “We won’t take too much. We want to get his blood pressure up though because he seems a bit septic. You’re gonna have to get him to drink lots of water though. Gatorade too.” She told them softly, explaining so they’d know what was going on. She looked at Hunt when he asked something else. “I think that they are a bit strange. But the fact that this is genetically possible and proven, I find it impressive. I know it’s morally wrong but it’s still impressive.” She explained.
Faye held Zar close, biting her lip. “It’s okay.” She reassured, rubbing her back gently

Zar nodded her head a little bit at her words, closing her eyes as she tried to block it out. However, that made it worse cause her imagination put it as the whitecoats taking blood from her, so she opened them back up to calm herself again.Hunt looked over when the girl replied to her instead, biting his lip a bit as she answered.
"And you're not going to tell anyone about us, right? Not even your friends?" he questioned.
Faye held her close and talked gently to try and calm her down. Brandie shook her head. “Of course not. You guys are clearly meant to stay secret..” she said softly. “But do you guys have a plan on somewhere to stay for winter?” She questioned, knowing how bad the weather could get.

"We're planning on going to Washington," Hailey replied to her, biting her lip a little bit,"We'll have found a place to stay by then, I'm sure.""Yeah, what she said," Hunt replied, looking at her for a moment before before turning away to check on the kids. They seemed to be doing their best to not look the stranger in the eye, which was a good thing.
Brandie nodded. “Okay. Well, I may have something that can help with that if you’re interested?” She offered, looking back to Hailey since she clearly was in charge. Nick stirred occasionally from time to time, usually just moving his hand or attempting to say stuff, which just came out as a random mumble.
Faye kept a close eye on them all, still trying to keep Zar from freaking out.
"Wow....that was.....pretty crazy, I didn't know those things would actually keep us up," the girl chuckled slightly, looking over at Ace and putting her hand out for her bag that he had offered to carry. She was a small girl, probably no more than 5 feet tall. She had long blonde hair and light brown eyes, wearing nice jeans and a crop top.
Hunt looked up when he heard them land, relaxing, however when he noticed someone with them, he stood up quickly, tense now.
Zar was as well, reaching over for both of them children and pulling them closer to her as she stared at the mysterious girl with them now.
