Hailey looked down at her when she spoke and nodded."We will," she replied, letting her move over to Victor. She looked over at Nick and nodded. As much as she wanted to go now, she couldn't. Hunt was hurt and her and Nick got a few good bruises as well.
Victor looked at Cass when she moved closer and put a gentle hand on her leg in hopes that it was at least a bit comforting.
Hunt simply mumbled something quietly, helping Feye get him all patched up. He was in pain, he got the crap kicked out of him after all. But he would live. Once he was bandaged up, he stood with a groan and paced, just trying to get all the knots out.
Cass curled close to victor. If Hunt wasn’t so busy getting patched up and pacing around, she’s probably be next to him instead but he was so she stayed with victor. She found all of the flock to be a comfort to her, it just varied on who she wanted to be closest too. Faye helped get him patched up before handing him some medicine to help with the pain. She then came over to Hailey to check her over too. She’d done a lot of research on basic first aid and medical stuff so she could act as their own doctor/nurse for the more minor stuff at least. “Let me clean these up?” She asked Hailey softly. If she didn’t focus on that, she’d probably start freaking out about Zar. Which nobody wanted to see.
Nick sat down on the rough cave floor near victor and cass. He cleaned himself up and made sure nothing was gonna make too much of a mess as it healed. He glanced over at Hailey.

Hailey looked at Faye when she came over and was going to nod when she noticed Nick looking at her."In a bit sweetie. Go take a look at Victor and Cass for me, make sure neither of them got hurt," she said, grabbing a wipe though to clean up what blood she could. She went over to where Nick was and bent down a bit."Something on your mind?" She was still kinda angry at him, but she did understand why he wouldn't let her go, as much as she hated it.
Victor looked up when he heard his name, glancing down at himself. He did have some claw marks where the Eraser grabbed him. Those hurt. But he was fine besides.
Faye nodded slightly. “Okay..” she went over and sat with victor and cass. She gently cleaned up victors arms and put some medicine on them so they wouldn’t hurt so much. “There. That should help..” she said softly. Cass was unscathed, having been in hiding the whole time. Nick shrugged. “Just making plans.” He said quietly. He had a lot of pretty bad scratches, having attacked almost all the erasers they’d seen and fought them off. He quietly worked to get himself cleaned up, biting his lip before taking off his bloody shirt.

Victor let her clean up his arm, knowing that Cass wouldn't need any sort of treatment. She had been hiding after all. Once he was finished, he reached out to touch Faye's arm."We're gonna get her back," he said to her, knowing she was worried.
Hailey nodded at his words, blinking when he took his shirt off. She quickly looked away and cleared her throat.
"Faye, take a look at Nick okay? He's pretty banged up," she said as she went to get her backpack. She had en extra set of clothes in there. Grabbing them, she went deeper into the cave to a section that was kinda cut off so she could change into a simple pair of black shorts, a pink tank top and a black off the shoulder shirt over that. She wasn't a fashion guru, it was just stuff she managed to get. Once she was changed, she put the old clothes in a pile on the cave floor, going to Nick's bag and getting him a new, none bloody shirt as well to wear.
Faye nodded slightly. “Well get them both back. We’ve gotta get our pairs all together again.” She Agreed faintly. It wasn’t intentional but they all sort of stuck in pairs when flying or doing much of anything and it ended up often being by age. Nick and Hailey were close and leaders together, Hunt and Ace were pretty close, kinda like her and Zar. And then cass stuck with victor a lot. Faye moved to help nick. Nick cleaned up the blood quietly, biting his lip. He glanced at Faye and let her help even though he could patch himself on his own. He wouldnt admit it but he was exhausted now that his adrenaline was running out. He stayed quiet and still as Faye helped him.

Hailey put the shirt down next to Nick, doing her best not to look at his shirtless form and just went to where all their supplies were. She pulled out some food that they kept there, handing everyone two granola bars, a small bag of chips and a water bottle. She settled herself down opposite to where Cass and Victor were sitting, looking at Hunt."Stop pacing, you're giving me a headache. Sit down and eat," she told him, motioning to where she was sitting.
Hunt looked at her and sighed, taking a seat next to Cass instead and sticking his tongue out at Hailey. He opened his bag of chips and started digging in.
Victor was doing the same, just not as messy as Hunt was. They had to all be hungry, they weren't able to eat their lunch after all.
Nick thanked her faintly. He took the shirt and slipped it on after Faye finished up. He took the food Hailey offered and set it beside him. He opened the water and drank some of it before laying down on the floor. He was too exhausted to try and eat so he figured he’d just take a short nap. Cass moved close to hunt once he sat down beside her. She reached in her pocket and offered his game boy back to him, the charger wrapped around it. She smiled faintly at him before opening up her granola bar to start eating.
Faye sat down next to Hailey after putting the extra medical stuff away. She took her food and picked st a bit of it, not very hungry right now. “Nick. Eat before you pass out.” She told him.

Hailey looked around to make sure everyone was good, hearing Faye's words. She frowned a bit seeing him on the floor like that, picking up a small peddle and throwing it at him, hitting him in the leg."You'll sleep better with food in you," she said to him, taking a bite of one of the granola bars.
Hunt already finished his chips and was working on getting one of his granola bars unwrapped when Cass handed him his Game Boy. He blinked at him and took it from her, offering a small smile.
"Thanks," he said, ruffling her hair a bit.
Nick barely opened his eyes. “True. But I’m so sleepy now..” he mumbled faintly. He closed his eyes again after a moment. “Just let me sleep this off. Then I’ll head out to keep watch. Just give me an hour please and then wake me.” He suggested, picking up the pebble and tossing it back at Hailey. Cass smiled faintly and nodded. “You left it on the counter. I just grabbed it when I hid cause I knew we’d be leaving..” she explained softly, biting her lip. She stayed close to them both.
Faye watched quietly. She ate her own food, tossing one of the granola bars over to hunt since he seemed a lot hungrier than she was. Then again, Hunt was a teenage boy. They were always hungry.

Hailey frowned at his words, smacking the pebble away when it came back in her direction. She sighed and shook her head. He was impossible sometimes, but if that's what he wanted to do, that's what she was gonna let him do. She chewed her food slowly, thinking about what they would be able to catch for dinner. She wasn't sure if they should risk going out and actually dumpster diving for food in the town over with the Erasers still possibly around. Then again, the cave was pretty secure and secluded."Yeah...Well thanks," Hunt said again, putting it into his backpack. He looked at the bar that was thrown at him, looking at Faye and giving her a small thank you nod. He seemed to burn calories more than anyone else in the group, which was annoying at times cause he ate nearly half as much as everyone else did.
Victor looked around as he ate his food, seeing a scab on his leg and he started to pick at it a bit, just because. It was weird that, for now, everyone was decently calm. He knew that they were all holding in their feelings though.
“Wake me if I’m needed. And don’t you dare head off without saying something Hailey.” He cautioned in a tired voice. A few moments later, it got even quieter as nicks voice leveled out and he went to sleep. It was how he functioned though; he’d sleep at random times for short intervals and that was enough sleep for him to be functional and alert. Faye nodded slightly, smiling s bit at him. She glanced over nick and the rest of them to make sure they were alright. “Let’s all take it easy for a bit and then we can go from there..” she suggested softly, Knowing everyone was emotional and uptight right now and they all just needed to deal with it.

Hailey looked at him when he said that, going to protest his words, but she quickly shut her mouth. He knew her too well....She slumped back against the cave wall and took a bite of her bar, listening to his breath even out as he fell asleep."We'll just get some fuel in up for now, maybe rest a bit. I'm thinking about hitting some place, maybe take a little swan dive in the dumpsters. Unless someone somehow has cash on them," she said. They did get money, not a lot of course, but they would find the occasional couple dollars around and resorted to taking from unfortunate campers from time to time.
"I got...10 bucks," Hunt said as he checked his pockets, finishing off all of his food and stuffing it in one of the pockets in his bag,"I say we save whatever we got just in case though. Dumpster diving is fine, maybe we can even manage to catch a bunny rabbit."
Victor cringed at the idea of killing and eating a bunny, though he knew they probably had done it before.
Faye listened to them talk. “we have the house too. We’d have to be quick and probably go at night and send nick cause he can hide best in the dark. Get as much food from there as possible first so we can stock up some..” She suggested, glancing to Hailey. “It’d be quick and easy. Take a couple backpacks, clear out the cabinets and whatever else he can get and come back.” She brainstormed aloud. Nick was out cold for a while. Cass listened to them talk but didn’t chip in on anything, busy brainstorming and trying to figure out her own ideas on what they could do.

"I don't want him to go alone. I think Hunt should go with him, they're both wearing dark clothes," Hailey responded to her words, looking over at him,"Can get more stuff that way too.""Works fine for me," Hunt said with a shrug, wincing a bit from the pain. Come nightfall, he would probably feel better. Especially if he took a nap. Like Nick, he laid down on the cave floor and put a shirt up over his eyes to block out the light."Wake me up when it's time to go."
Hailey rolled her eyes at him, but taking naps were a good idea. She didn't blame anyone for wanting to take one. She was quiet for about 15 minutes until she stood up, grabbing 4 empty jugs they kept in there and moving over to Faye.
"I'm gonna go fill these up. If he happens to wake up, let him know where I am before he freaks," she said, motioning to Nick.
"Be careful please," Victor said from his spot next to Cass.
Hailey nodded and opened up her wings, silently and carefully heading off to a campsite that was nearby. They had free, clean water for those who needed it and it wasn't normally all that busy.
Faye nodded slightly. “Okay. You’ve got twenty minutes. Half an hour max. If I don’t see you, I’m waking him.” She said, knowing that would be more than enough time for her to get there, fill the jugs and get back. She got up and took a seat near the cave mouth to keep watch for them and then be able to see her flying off and coming back. Cass bit her lip lightly and got up. She went over to her bag and opened it up. She found her etch-a-sketch in there and brought it over, sitting by victor. She started making random doodles, just trying to keep herself busy.

"Yeah yeah," Hailey said before she had taken off. She was gone about 15 minutes, not long and she landed on the ledge of the cave easily, carrying the heavy jugs. She went into the cave and set them down, looking around. Nick and Hunt were still out, Victor looked like he was close to it, sorta leaning on Cass a little bit. Wiping her forehead, she sat down where she had been before, looking at Faye."Why don't you take a nap? Get some energy back in you? I'll take watch."
Faye waited patiently for her. She nodded when she got back. “Alright. That sounds good.” She agreed, getting up to go lay on the floor of the cave a bit further back where it was darker. “Victor, you can come lay with me and rest if you want..” she offered softly. Cass kept doodling, putting multiple ones on top of each other rather then shaking it and clearing it all away. It kept her busy and gave her something relaxing to do while everyone slept.

Victor was startled awake when Faye said his name, looking over at her sleepily. He blinked slowly and stood up, going over to where she was and laying down next to her. He was very tired and within 30 seconds, he was already asleep.Hailey smiled at the two of them, looking over at Cass who was just doodling away.
"Are you tired hun?" she asked her.
Faye shifted and let victor use her as a pillow. She closed her eyes and finally dozed off after a while, worn out and just needing a break from the worry her mind kept forcing her through about Zar. Cass looked over. “Not really. I can keep watch so you can rest..” she offered softly, setting the etch a sketch down in her lap for a moment. She got up and moved to sit beside Hailey for a bit.

"Nah, it's alright. We'll both stay up then," Hailey replied. Not that she didn't think she was able to keep watch, but she was still just 10 years old. She shouldn't need to keep watch. She put her arm around her shoulder and played with her hair a bit when she came over, thinking about Zar and Ace. She hoped nothing horrible was happening to them, but she knew how the School was.
Cass settled down and leaned against Hailey. She shook the etch a sketch clear before starting a new doodle quietly. She bit her lip and focused on it. After a little while longer, nick started to wake up. He sat up as he started to open his eyes. He rubbed them tiredly and looked around, mentally taking a count to make sure they were all still there. He looked back over to Hailey once he’d seen that the six of them were still there.

When Nick woke up, Hailey was resting her eyes, her head against the cave wall. She opened her eyes when she heard rustling though when Nick started waking up, meeting his eyes. It had been about an hour and a half, almost 2 since he fell asleep. Everyone else besides Cass was still asleep as well.
Nick smiled tiredly at her, trying to reassure them that he was fine. He drank a bit more water and ate a granola bar before getting up. He stretched quietly and came over to Hailey and cass. Cass talked softly to him and showed off her current doors, getting tired of the silence. Nick looked it over and gave her some suggestions on it so she could keep working.

Hailey nodded when he gave her that smile, watching as he ate and occasionally looking over at Cass next to her. It was so strange, not having Zar or Ace here. Part of her family was missing, gone. That was really upsetting...Biting her lip, she waited until Nick gave over before she stood up and went just outside the cave's entrance, crossing her arms over her chest and looking around. With any luck, everyone would sleep until dinnertime and maybe Nick would be alright with just leaving at night to head towards the School.
Nick checked on cass and talked with her for a few. He then got up and followed Hailey to just outside of the cave. He stood beside her quietly, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “Need to talk?” H offered faintly, trying to make sure everyone was okay.”

Hailey was just looking out at the sky when Nick came out and asked her that. She sighed a bit and peaked inside the cave at everyone else before looking back at him."I just wish there was something else I could have done. How did the Erasers find us? How did we not even know that Zar and Ace were in trouble? They were out in the front yard for....fucks sake," she said, her voice starting to crack, but she cleared her throat. She hated crying in front of the others.
“I know. But we always knew they’d find us eventually. It seems like they got Zar and Ace by sneaking up and then knocking them out quickly..” he said softly. “We’re gonna get them and bring them home though..” he promised, gently putting an arm around her.

Hailey fought off the tears as they stood there, looking at Nick. It was upsetting, that they were gone. She had promised everyone when they got out she would make sure they never had to go back there again. And now two of them were gone. They needed to get them back as soon as possible."It...it just sucks," she said with a shrug, sniffling a bit.
Nick nodded slightly. “It does. But they won’t be there that long. We’ll be getting them out in this next week most likely.” He assured her softly, looking st her. “Zar and Ace are strong. They’ll be working to get out too and they know we’ll be coming for them.” He added softly, trying to help her calm down.

A few tears managed to slip their way down Hailey's cheeks, which she quickly wiped away, embarrassed. Crying and her just didn't mix, she always tried to be the bad ass leader for the younger kids. But she was still just a kid herself.
“Come here..” nick mumbled. He moved close and wrapped his arms around her. He knew she hated appearing weak but at least she didn’t try and hide it too much from him. He held her gently. “We’re gonna get them home. Just breathe Hailey..” he said softly

Hailey let him bring her into a hug, not really able to say no after all. Saying no to Nick was like trying to reason with a toddler. Then again, she was the same way. She moved her hands up and gripped onto his shirt, putting her face in his chest. More tears poured down and soon, she was crying silently. She felt horrible that she hadn't been able to do anything more for them...She couldn't help them.
Nyx held her tightly, resting his head on top of hers. He let her cry and just get it out of her system, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to talk or reason with her until she started to calm down. He looked around and kept watch, rubbing her back gently.

Hailey did let herself cry for too long, maybe about a minute before she shoulders stopped shaking. She was blushing though, she knew she was. She was crying into her best friends chest for Christ sake. Totally embarrassing. She moved away slowly and wiped at her face to get it free from tears, sniffling a bit more, but trying to be quiet.
Nick let her go after she pulled away. “Alright. Take a breath and then you’re gonna tell me your plan for tonight.. I heard you guys talking bud couldn’t understand..” he told her softly, attempting to distract her by getting her to focus on one thing at a time

Then once it was dark out, we originally thought you and Hunt should go there just to gather supplies. But I'm thinking, since everyone is getting sleep in now, maybe we just leave then if Hunt is feeling up for it," she said, knowing he was the most hurt out of all of them. Him and Nick.
Nick nodded, listening. “Well need to go and get supplies first. I want to get it so Faye, Victor and Cass have everything they’ll need to be fine while we’re gone so they don’t need to go out or anything that’ll put them at risk.. but if hunts up for it, we can leave tonight..” he agreed, running s hand through his hair.

That'll only take 10 minutes for one of us to run back, give them their stuff and get back," Hailey replied, wiping under her nose where some tears had gotten,"We still gotta figure out if Hunt feels up for it anyways. So it's just something we could do. But knowing him, he'll be fine." Along with having the biggest appetite, Hunt also heals the quickest.
Nick nodded. “Alright. How about this. We let hunt rest and you can stay here and I can do a quick supply run and just start getting stuff so we can get as much as possible?” He suggested, glancing st her as if he was asking permission which was rare for him. He typically just said what he was doing.

"You're talking about tonight still? Will you be able to carry all that stuff?" Hailey asked with a raise of her eyebrows. She wasn't trying to say Nick wasn't strong, but he would need to mostly get the canned food since it didn't spoil or anything like that.
“Yeah. As soon as it’s dark.” Nick shrugged. “Dark clothes, dark wings, ill be able to do w lot without being spotted most likely.” Nick answered softly. “I can probably make two or three trips pretty easily without taking too much time. Get food and then some of the blankets and stuff so we can Sorta have makeshift beds and whatnot.” He said softly, thinking aloud.

The only other one that had dark wings besides Nick was Victor and she didn't wanna risk him getting taken, since they seemed to be interested in him."Yeah, okay. And after you get everything, we can see if Hunt wants to leave?" she asked.
Nick nodded slightly. “Sounds good to me.” He agreed softly. He ran a hand through his hair and glanced around. We’ve got a few hours till then though. Get some rest?” He suggested softly to her, knowing her and cass hadn’t slept yet.

But she could give it a try."Yeah, I'll try," she agreed, making sure there were no more tears on her face before she headed back into the cave. Faye, Victor and Hunt were all still sleeping. She cleared some pebbles off from a spot big enough for her and reclined there using her backpack, staring up at the cave ceiling.
Nick came back in and went and sat with cass. He talked softly with her and watched her doodle. He hoped that cass would get some sleep too so they’d all be rested and okay for the time being. Nick stayed with her until the others started waking up again.

It took a while, but Hailey finally managed to fall asleep, about 20 minutes after she laid down. She snored softly as she laid there, twitching a bit in her sleep.Victor was the first to wake up, about 40 minutes after Nick and Hailey came back into the cave. He looked around in confusion and rubbed his eyes, yawning.
"What time is it?" he asked Nick as he stood up and went over to where Hailey was sleeping, sitting down in front of her and taking her hand, playing with her fingers and trying to get dirt out from under her fingernails. He was a strange kid that way, he liked being close to people and constantly doing something.
Nick looked over at victor when he got up. “Five ish? Maybe. I don’t know. It’s still light out. My watch got busted earlier.” He shrugged. “Please don’t wake her. She just went to sleep.” He told him softly when he saw him go near Hailey. Faye woke up when she felt victor get up. She looked around sleepily, yawning. “Oh. We’re getting up now?” She guessed faintly.
Nick shook his head. “No. You don’t need to. We’re just taking it easy till nightfall. Then I’m going out on a supply run..” he explained softly.

Victor looked at Hailey when Nick told him she had just fallen asleep, frowning and just setting her hand down on his lap instead, looking around the cave and tracing some things on the wall with his eyes.Hearing everyone talking, Hunt was next to wake up. He groaned a bit as he turned onto his stomach, carefully getting on his hands and knees and then in a kneeling position.
"Wassup?" he asked tiredly, looking between everyone with a bit of drool on the corner of his mouth.
Cass bit her lip and looked up at Hailey. “Be careful..” She Mumbled, not saying much more. She moved closer to Victor again.
Nick rolled his eyes. “Just don’t bleed on me.” He grabbed another rag and held it to the rough cut on his arm. He glanced back to Hailey. “Well need to wait a day. Give us time to heal up and make sure Here is safe..”
