"Yeah I know, but it have pretty good confidence that Ace swings at least somewhat his way. And no, not really," Zar replied with a shrug of her shoulders,"I think it would make them all pretty happy."

“Fair point.” Faye shrugged. “Unless something went wrong..” she commented faintly. “I think it would make them all happy though. It’d definitely be a good thing..”

Zar nodded her head, opening her mouth to say more when she heard talking outside and she looked towards the entrance.

"What in God's name are you drawing?" Hailey asked Vince as she came closer to the cave, folding her wings in and landing, looking at the odd picture Vince was in the middle of drawing.

"It's a really big monkey eating a truck that's on fire," Vince explained with a sweet smile,"I was really bored."

"Looks pretty badass to me!" Hunt exclaimed as he also landed, carrying bags of food and supplies they had picked up while in town.

Faye glanced to the entrance and smiled faintly when she heard the others. “Maybe nick’ll Act. He’s still blushing.” She said faintly.

Nick smiled and looked over at Hailey and them, glancing them over to make sure they’d all come back okay.

Cass was helping him draw, adding more details to the flames. She smiled and waved at Hailey.

Ace set down a few bags as well. He sighed and sat down, exhausted from all that they’d done.

"That would be nice," Zar said, looking at them all as well.

"Of course it is bud," Hailey replied, ruffling both his and Cass' hair before looking to Nick,"All quiet while we were gone?"

Hunt set down his bags as well, looking over to the two girls.
"Good morning princess'. How are you guys feeling?" he asked.

Zar shifted her weight a bit, covering up more with the blanket.
"Sore. But I'll live," she replied, looking to Faye.

Nick smiled at her. “Nah. We threw an awesome party. Really a shame you missed it.” He teased lightly, looking up at her.

Ace yawned and watched them tiredly. “It’s nap time..” he told them faintly before laying down in hunts spot.

Faye nodded. “I’m alright. Tired too. But I think we all are.” SHe admitted.

"Damn. Wish I would have gotten the invitation," Hailey said with a chuckle, motioning over to the bags they brought back,"We got some research done, picked up some food and, of course, more, not possibly expired, medicine and first aid stuff."

Hunt looked at Ace and nodded.
"Okay," he said, reaching over and covering him up loosely before looking back at the girls,"That's good, I'm glad. You hungry? We hit up a fast food place."

“It’s alright. We’ll have another party later.” He smiled at her. “That’s all good..” He agreed, nodding to her. Nick wanted to ask about her shoulder but wouldn’t bring it up in front of the others. He told Cass and Vince to come back into the cave with them.

Ace settled down. He was a bit hungry but was more exhausted so he focused on that.

“A bit.” Faye shrugged, not moving from where she was since Zar was still resting against her.

Vince saw looked at Nick when he spoke and nodded, going back inside the cave and over to Hunt and Ace, not disturbing Ace though, who looked like he was trying to sleep.

Hailey watched them get back inside, kneeling down in front of Nick.
"How's your leg?" she whispered quietly so the others wouldn't hear.

"Okay," Hunt said, getting out 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips, 4 juice bottles and a pack of cookies, handing them over to the girls so they could spit everything. He then gave Vince and Cass their share as well.

Cass followed Vince inside. She glanced over ace to check on him before joining Vince. She talked softly to ace for a moment, checking on him.

Nick shrugged. “How’s your shoulder blade?” He asked back in the same faint whisper. He wouldn’t acknowledge that his leg was really bothering him.

Faye thanked her softly. She set the food down in front of her and Zar. “You’ve gotta eat something..” she commented faintly.

"It's fine, just burns," Hailey replied, raising her eyebrows at him,"You didn't give me a very good answer. Is it hurting?"

Zar nodded and reached for one of the sandwiches, looking to see what was on it. None of them were particularly picky eaters, they couldn't really afford to be after all. But they did fancy some things over others. She took a bite after a moment, sighing happily. Se had been pretty hungry.

“Yeah. Hence why I’ve barely moved from where I was when you left.” Nick Mumbled faintly, glancing outside again. He just wanted her to treat him like he was fine. Cause he was. His leg was just sore. And him not taking care of it for hours just gave it more of a chance to get infected which it had.

Faye thanked Hunt again before picking up the other sandwich. She unwrapped it and took a couple bites, decently hungry as well.

"Okay Mr. Grumpy pants," Hailey said with a sigh, standing up and putting her hands on her hips,"Can you at least let me clean it again and put better disinfectant that we got on it?" She did wish he wasn't so stubborn about it, he was hurt and needed caring for. She saw nothing wrong with that.

“I can do it Hailey. I know it grosses you out.” Nick offered softly. “I’ll get up and do it in a few.” He shrugged at her. “Go eat some food Hailey. You need it..” he said gently, trying to put the attention back on her rather than him.

"It doesn't gross me out," Hailey argued with a frown, but she just sighed heavily and cross her arms over her chest,"But fine, whatever you want." So went further into the cave were all the stuff they got was, taking it out of the bags and starting to sort it out. Hunt handed her her share of food which she set to the side but, after a glare from the teen, opened up the bag of chips and munched on those as she organized.

Nick frowned. He forced himself to his feet after a moment. It took him a second to get his balance before walking further back into the cave. He was limping a bit but did his best to hide it. He plopped down on the floor near Hailey, starting to help organize silently.

Hailey glanced over when Nick came down near her, sighing a bit and rubbing her forehead.
"Hunt can you hand me the first aid backpack behind you?" she asked.

Hunt, with a mouthful of food, nodded and reached behind him, giving it to her. He also gave Nick his food, sending him a similar glare that he sent Hailey that meant "you better eat it."

Nick shrugged. “I’m not hungry. I’ll eat later.” He said faintly. “Thanks though.” He smiled a bit at him before shifting slightly so his back was more towards the rest of them and rolling up his pant leg to look at his leg again. He glanced at Hailey. “I don’t know why it’s so sore... it shouldn’t be.” He Mumbled faintly. Biting his lip.

Hunt didn't like the answer, but he accepted it and continued eating himself.

Hailey was going through the pills they had when she noticed Nick looking at her.
"It's infected Nick and I dunno what it looks like right now, but it's probably swollen and inflamed too, it was getting there earlier," she replied with a sigh, going back to what she had been doing.

“So we should just lop it off, right?” Nick replied, keeping his voice serious but a smile on his face. He tried to be serious but he just wanted Hailey to smile and not worry for a moment. He reached and grabbed some clean bandages, peeling off all the old ones.

"No," Hailey said with a glare in his direction, not smiling,"You need to clean and change the bandages more often, I'd say 3 times a day. And clean it really well too. Take pain killers too."

“I’ll try to. But I’m also trying to keep everyone else from worrying..” nick said faintly. “And you know pain meds are a bad idea? They either barely work or they make me kinda loopy. Remember?” He reminded her, taking the new stuff to clean it from the stuff they’d brought.

"Alright then don't clean it and don't take the medicine!" Hailey pretty much snapped at him, keeping her voice low still, but it was loud enough that Hunt raised an eyebrow at her. She sighed and stood up, shaking her head."Never mind. I'm gonna fly down to the river really quick, refill the empty jugs of water." She went over to where they were and grabbed the empty ones, putting them through the rope they were using to carry them easier.

Nick sighed and set the stuff down. He fixed his pant leg before getting up and following after her. He wasn’t just gonna let her run off again. He understood she was worried but at the same time, they needed to think about everyone else too and nick hated the attention on him or even having the slightest appearance of being weak.

Hailey got to the entrance to the cave when she realized Nick was behind her and she sighed, turning to look at him.
"I'm just going to fill up the jugs. I'll be back in 15 minutes, tops. Now go sit your ass down," she said, pointing back into the cave, giving him a stern look.

“No. We’re going together so we can actually talk without all the hush hush around it.” Nick answered quietly. “Please.” He added faintly after a moment, watching her. “Hunt can watch over everyone for like 15 minutes. It’ll be fine..”

"I'm not worried about leaving the cave Nick, I'm worried about your damn leg. There isn't anything to talk about anyways. Go sit down," Hailey replied, motioning inside the cave once more.

“Well I’m worried about it too. But you’re not getting the point that maybe I need to talk to you. Even if you think there’s nothing to be talked about.” He said faintly before relenting. “Guess that’s not important though.” He Mumbled and walked back in the cave.

Hailey listened to his words and sighed heavily, running her fingers through her hair. She didn't go after him though, just opened up her wings and went down to the river below, as she said she was going to.

"Those two...stubborn as mules," Zar said softly, shaking her head a bit from her spot.

Nick sat back where he was earlier, silently cleaning up his leg and bandaging it. He took some pain meds as well, not caring if he got loopy at this point. He took some of the first aid supplies and tucked them in his bag so he’d be able to try and clean his leg more.

Faye nodded slightly. “Yep. That’s them. Nick backed down for once though instead of going after her.” She commented.

"Yeah, I dunno if that's a good or bad thing," Zar replied, shrugging,"Guess it saved Hailey the headache though."

Hailey returned about 15 minutes later, as she said she would, and put the jugs back where they belonged.
"You guys can get some sleep whenever you need to. I'll take first watch tonight and Hunt, if I can get you to wake up, you'll take second," she said.

"Aye aye," Hunt said, saluting her before drinking some of his drink.

She rolled her eyes and took the food she hadn't finished, going to the opening of the cave and sitting so she could keep watch.

Faye shrugged. “Guess so. I don’t know. The tension between them is getting old though..” she commented faintly.

Nick had moved back to his own spot near the opening of the cave before Hailey got back, his legs stretched out in front of him. “Cleaned it. Rewrapped it and took meds. I’ll probably be out soon.” He told her faintly when she sat down, biting his lip.

"I agree," Zar replied with a soft sigh, finishing off her chips and she washed it down with some juice.

"Good," Hailey replied to him as she fiddled around with some of the medical supplies. She took off her shirt, leaving her in her tank top and reached behind her, taking off the old bandage, wincing from the slight pain. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't feel nice. She sprayed some of the disinfectant on it the best she could and just let it sit for a moment.

Faye shrugged and finished her sandwich. “They’ll work it out..”

Nick watched her quietly for a moment, biting his lip. “Want me to check it?” He offered softly.

"I got it," Hailey replied, getting out an alcohol wipe and she started wiping it. It was hard to do since it was behind her and she couldn't see, but she managed to get it cleaned up.

“Okay.” Nick nodded and left her alone. After a few, He quietly grabbed his food and opened it up, knowing he needed it even if he was more tired than hungry. He ate quietly, watching outside.

Once it was cleaned, Hailey bandaged it back up, wincing a bit from the pain. She got it done and put all of the old and used stuff off to the side. She would dispose of it later.

Nick glanced at her occasionally, just worrying about and checking on her. He kept quiet though, not wanting to argue any more with her. He did want to know what they’d found in their research though.

"Why don't you go back in the cave? Finish eating and go to sleep," Hailey told him, not looking over at him though. Just stared outside, watching for any sort of threat.

“I want to talk to you,” nick mumbled faintly in response. He shrugged and looked over as her.

Hailey sighed heavily at his response, rubbing her forehead a bit. She was silent for a moment before she cleared her throat.

“Well you went out to do a bunch of research...” nick reminded her. “We were supposed to be figuring out where to go next..” he explained further and then waited for her to respond.

Hailey nodded and reached behind her for the papers, leaning over and giving them to Nick.
"We found some places that might be working close by with the School but, of course, we don't know for sure. They're in a few different places all over the United States," she explained.

Nick took them, glancing them over. "Okay." He started looking more closely. "So where are we gonna go?' He asked her, not looking up from the pages as he skimmed through them.

"I'm thinking somewhere north. Michigan, Montana, Washington, somewhere along those lines. Most of those big places are in either really big, populated cities or out in the middle of nowhere," Hailey replied.

Nick nodded. "Then we've gotta go soon.. so we can get settled before it gets too cold." He commented, shrugging at her. He ran a hand through his hair, thinking about where might be best.

"Tomorrow or the next day, however everyone is feeling," she replied.

Nick nodded. “What’s your preference on where to go?” He asked softly, watching her for a moment. He wanted to sit by her but figured that she’d throw a fit at that.

"I don't know really. Washington would be the best place to get the most information, but it's also a very populated state," Haley said with a shrug of her shoulders, biting her lip.

Nick shrugged. “True but there’s lots of rural areas there too..” he commented softly, looking st her. He ran a hand through his hair. “The additional people might mean more resources for us too..”
