Hunt looked at Ace and nodded, holding Cass until she did fall asleep, which wasn't long at all, before he set her down and covered her up.
"You should probably get some sleep too. Tough man," he said to Victor with a wink.

Vic smiled at him and nodded, laying down next to Cass on the same bed, since they were both pretty small.

"None of that was your fault," Zar replied with a shake of her head, snuggling up closer with her,"You did what you could. I still got out."

Nick nodded. “But we could maybe find a cabin up there for the summer and camp out there for a bit. Make a game plan for where to go next.” He suggested.

Cass slept soundly, exhausted.

Ace yawned and stretched. He glanced over at Hunt. “I’m guessing something went wrong?” He Mumbled.

Faye nodded slightly. She held the other girl close, staying quiet for the moment since she didn’t know what to say.

"Yeah that might work. I don't know if hunting cabins are popular this time of year, probably not on the weekends at least. Either that or we can find an abandoned one, works just as well," Hailey replied, nodding.

"Yeah I think so," Hunt replied with a nod, sitting down next to the two kids,"I dunno what, Hailey and Nick are talking over there."

Zar happily snuggled up with her, feeling much better now that she was here and she knew she was safe and unharmed. It lifted so much worry off of her shoulders.

Nick nodded. “Rest today, gather some more supplies, leave tomorrow?” He suggested to her, wanting the kids to have a chance to rest.

Ace nodded. “I’m sure we’ll find out.” He shrugged and stayed near hunt.

Faye held her close, knowing that helped her quite a lot. She smiled faintly, leaning on her.

"Yeah that sounds good. There's no real to leave too early today since everyone is back with us," Hailey replied, looking over at the kids and smiling a bit. They must have been really tuckered out, poor things.

Nick nodded slightly. “Alright..” he ran a hand through his hair and looked around at all of them again, still worried.


Faye shrugged. “A little bit. Not too bad though.” She answered softly. “We were just trying to get here before you all left..”

"Take a nap," Zar said, reaching over and rubbing her leg gently,"You guys flew a long time carrying all that stuff. You need it."

Hailey looked over everyone in the cave, glad that no one had gotten really injured. Well, besides her and Nick, but that was besides the point.
"I'm gonna make a run into town, do some research and scrounge up some food for when everyone wakes up," she said to Nick, fixing her hair a bit so it was in a high ponytail.

Faye shrugged slightly. “Yeah. But I also just wanna be with you..” She Mumbled. She stayed close, keeping her arms around her.

Nick nodded slightly. “Take Hunt or ace with you?” He suggested softly, not wanting her going alone. He didn’t want any of them going off alone, just in case something went wrong.

"I know, but you need to rest. I'll still be here with you, I'm not going anywhere," Zar replied to her, nuzzling into her neck a bit. She was very touchy feely with her and she was glad she never seemed to mind.

Hailey nodded her head, wanting to go alone but she knew if Nick said he was gonna go out, she would make him take someone.
"I'll take them both. I don't wanna separate them just yet," she replied.

Faye nodded. “Good.” She Agreed softly, smiling a bit at her. She held her close, never minding snuggling with her or anyone really.

Nick nodded slightly. “Alright. That works.” He agreed softly. He knew both guys would be fine if they were separated but he agreed that they might as well just keep them all together when possible.

Zar smiled, reaching over to where the blanket she had been using was. She opened it up, since it had been folded, and laid it over the both of them, wanting Faye to sleep some.

Hailey nodded and went further into the cave to where Hunt and Ace were.
"You guys wanna come with me? I'm gonna go into town to do some research and get some food," she said, looking at Ace specifically to see if he was up to it.

Hunt was thinking the same thing and he looked towards his friend.
"You okay to go?" he asked, not wanting him to strain himself much.

Faye relaxed and stayed close to her. She smiled faintly. “You’ll get some rest too?” She asked to make sure.

Ace glanced at Hailey and nodded. “Yeah. I’ll be fine.” He assured, standing up and stretching. He smiled a bit at Hunt.

Nick watched them all, biting his lip lightly as his mind wandered. He tried to figure out all their next moves and solutions for all the what if’s that came with it

"Yeah I will. I promise," Zar replied. She hadn't been very tired before but now that she was here with Faye, well, she felt the pull to go to sleep.

"Alright cool. When are we leaving?" Hunt asked.

"In a few minutes, I just need to do something real quick," Hailey replied, going over to the first aid kit they had and pulling out the disinfectant they had. Going back over to Nick, she motioned him to where the cliff extended out a bit."Can you clean the wound on my back? It's getting swollen so it might be getting a little infected. And I need to look at yours too."

Faye nodded slightly. She shifted and laid down, keeping Zar in her arms. She glanced over at the others but was okay if they headed out for a few. Nick would still be there to keep watch.

Ace nodded slightly.

Nick nodded. “Okay..” he said, following her a little ways away from the others. He grabbed the stuff to clean the wound from the first aid kit and waited for Hailey to move her shirt so he could look.

Zar laid down with her, snuggling up close. She was aware of some of them going on, but it didn't bother her much. They would be fine up here.

Hailey took off the jacket she was wearing, leaving her in his tank top, and moved her hair to the side so Nick could look at it.
"It look bad?" she asked. It was bruised around it, that was pretty normal, but it was redder than it should be and swollen. There was also a few little crusty yellow things around the stitching which suggested it might be starting to get infected.

Faye held her close, closing her eyes.

Nick bit his lip and looked it over. “It’s a little infected..” he answered softly. He quietly cleaned it again, being gentle. “Look for some more medicine for it when you’re out..” he advised.

"I thought so," Hailey said with a sigh, flinching when he first started cleaning it, but she got use to it after a moment. It felt really tender, she took note of that for sure. But she dealt with the pain she was feeling. It wasn't unbearable after all.

Nick nodded. “I’m sorry.” He Mumbled. He cleaned it up as best as he could. “I’ll check my leg in a little bit.” He assured her softly, not wanting her to worry about him.

Nick shrugged at her. “Okay..” He said softly, fixing her shirt once he finished cleaning it up for her. “Be Sade out there please..”

"We will. Now let me see your leg," Hailey said when he was finished, moving her hair so it was behind her once more. She wasn't gonna let him get away with not being looked at.

Nick sighed. He reached and pulled up his pant leg to show her. He unraveled the bandages and let her look. His leg was red and a bit swollen, looking infected. “It’s fine.” He lied faintly.

Hailey waited for him to do so, looking at it and glaring at Nick when he spoke.
"No it's not, it's worst than mine Nick. Mine was just starting to get infected, I think yours already is," she said, grabbing some of the disinfectant,"Probably hurts like a bitch too. Don't stand on it for too long anymore okay? It'll just make it worse." She began cleaning it as gently as she could as to not disturb the stitches, but she wanted to get as much nasty stuff off of it as she could. She would need to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't spring a fever, cause then she would been to steal him some antibiotics.

Nick sighed. “It’s nothing I couldn’t handle..” he mumbled. He felt like Hailey worried too much at times so he kept stuff like that to himself, instead cleaning up his leg on his own and not mentioning that it was getting infected or that yes, it did hurt like hell a lot of the time. “I don’t have a choice. I can’t just hop or crawl around. I’m supposed to be fine.” He reminds her faintly.

"I doubt that very highly. And I don't think anyone will pay much mind to you sitting down for a while Nick. You don't need to limp around and make a scene, just sit," Hailey replied to him, getting all of the puss and nasty stuff off of the wound that she could see. Then she added on some ointment and changed the bandage."I'll get some more of these while I'm in town, we're gonna need to change and clean our wounds every 24 hours to avoid the infection getting worse. I'll get the pain pills while I'm out too."

Nick bit down hard on his lip and stayed quiet until she finished cleaning. “That’s just against who I am though. I don’t really sit still. Unless I’m doing something. Not much out here to do except keep watch..” He Mumbled finally once she’d finished. “Okay..” he nodded, watching her for a moment.

"Exactly, sit and keep watch," Hailey said, putting his pant leg down for him before she stood up, offering her hand to him to help him up,"Everyone else is resting still, they probably won't think much if you do the same."

Nick took her hand and pulled himself up, hesitating before putting weight on that leg. “I know. I just don’t want to sit and not do stuff though..” he mumbled. He shrugged at her and bit his lip

I'm sure Cass brought along some coloring books, color in a pretty pretty picture," Hailey teased him as she pulled him up, smiling a bit at him,"But seriously, you can organize everyone's backpacks if you get really bored, but you are going to be doing something while you're there. You're going to be keeping them safe. And that's the best thing you could ever do."

Nick rolled his eyes. “I’ll figure out something. Your worrying is just rubbing off on me.” He said lightly, teasing her. He kept his hand in hers for a moment longer before letting go. “Try not to be gone too long..” He Mumbled softly, running a hand through his hair.

"It has a habit of doing that to people," Hailey replied with a chuckle, noticing when he didn't let her go for a moment. She didn't mind, just kept his hand as well until he finally let it go, her own arm dropping slowly back down to her side and she cleared her throat."We won't. I'll go ahead and gather up the boys." She grabbed the kit as well as their old bandages and headed back into the cave.

Nick bit his lip and nodded. He followed after a moment, heading to the mouth of the cave and taking a seat so he could keep an eye on them and on outside. He stretched his leg out in front of him.

Hailey got everything back where it was suppose to go and cleaned up, sighing once she was done.
"You guys ready?" she asked Hunt and Ace.

Hunt looked up from his spot and nodded.
"Yep," he replied, getting up with a groan and also offered a hand to Ace to help him up as well.

Nick watched Hailey quietly. He bit his lip lightly, worrying about her.

Ace nodded. He stood after a moment with Hunts help. “Yeah. Let’s go.” He Mumbled softly, stretching. He glanced at Zar before following after Hailey and Hunt.

Hailey didn't really notice any of the looks that Nick was giving her, well, she kinda felt his eyes on her, but she just assumed he was looking at everyone.
"Alright, we'll be back before it gets dark," she told Nick with a smile.

Hunt helped him up, also glancing at Zar, who was fast asleep with Faye.
"Worried about her?" he questioned his friend.

Nick nodded. “You’ve got till a bit after dark. Then I’ll come looking if you don’t return.” He told her softly. He wanted all of them safe and right now, they definitely needed to be cautious since they were so close to the research facility.

Ace stretched and nodded slightly. “Yeah. She panicked a lot while we were in there. Thankfully, they kept us together...” he explained quietly.

"Yes Father," Hailey teased him with a wink, going to the opening of the cave and opening up her wings, going up into the sky to wait for Ace and Hunt to follow.

"Yeah it's a good thing they did too, otherwise she would be in worse condition. But both of you are back with us now," Hunt said with a smile, watching as Hailey took off. He went over to the entrance as well and did as she did, joining her.

Nick rolled his eyes. “Whatever mom.” He teased back. He watched them each take off.

Ace nodded slightly. “I know. She’s not in the best shape though.” He Mumbled softly. He waited and took off after they did, opening his wings and stretching them out as they took off. He flew up beside hunt.

It didn't take them too long before they got into town, landing behind a business so they wouldn't be spotted. Hailey made sure her wings were covered, putting a hoodie on and looking around.
"Did you happen to see anything about a library in the pamphlets you've been picking up Hunt?" she asked the teen, looking over at him.

"Yeah, pretty sure I saw it when I came here with Nick too. Pretty sure it's this way," Hunt said with a motion of his head, starting in that direction.

Ace landed last and closed up his wings. He listened and followed them. “Or ya know, we can follow the signs..” he commented, pointing out a sign that had an arrow to the library and the most of the other important City buildings. He smiled a bit and walked beside hunt.

Hailey looked at Ace when he pointed those out, raising her eyebrows a bit.
"Cities actually do that?" she asked, having seen it in shows before but she didn't think it was legit.

"Some I suppose," Hunt said with a shrug,"I haven't noticed them before. Makes our life easier though so I'm not gonna complain." He started walking with the others, also keeping pace with Ace.

Ace rolled his eyes. “Well obviously.” He answered snarkily, glancing st her. He smiled a bit and walked with them. “It all depends on the city. I don’t know how you didn’t notice some of them before..” he added softly

"I don't think the city we pretty much always went to had them," Hunt said as he crossed the street, making sure to look both ways.

“Fair point.” Ace shrugged. He followed after hunt, glancing around. “But there are lots of signs about most every thing..” he commented softly.

"Yeah in this city there sure are," Hunt replied as he continued on their way, keeping an eye out, but trying to not look too obvious about it. This was a city fairly close to the School after all, they could have sent Erasers out to look for them.

Ace didn’t keep a very good watch. He was tired and just generally didn’t care. The other two were there and would keep him safe. He followed absently after them.
