Hailey frowned when he said that, not wanting to but she did glance at him for a moment, catching his eyes. It didn't last long though and she ended up just looking down afterwards, sighing heavily and running her hands through her tangled hair."I'm fine. You should get going though," she pointed out to him.
“I know I should but I can’t. I’m not gonna leave with you upset..” nick said softly. He ran a hand through his hair. “Please. Just talk to me for a minute. I gotta know that you’re okay before I go.” He begged softy, biting his lip and watching her.

"I said I'm fine Nick. We don't have time for this, there's nothing for you to worry about," Hailey replied to him, glancing at him again before looking back,"We'll be there in a little bit to watch and make sure everything goes okay."
“You are not fine. You’re shutting us out. You’re letting me be in charge. That’s not like you Hailey..” nick sighed and stood. “You stay back. If they catch you, they’ll break you.” He cautioned before jumping off the branch. He took off and flew away from her, sighing softly.

Hailey watched as he flew off and sighed heavily, shaking her head. She wasn't gonna stay back like he told her to of course, she needed to be there if something went wrong. She just remained on the branch for the next little while, giving Nick a chance to get in there before she grabbed Hunt and they went closer to the School, hiding in the trees.
Nick went invisible as he got closer. He was able to land and sneak into the facility with ease. He found his target, the researcher/escort for Ace and Zar. He followed them closely, looking around to find the nearest good place to take him out. Thankfully, the researcher chose to take a bathroom break before they’d head out to the birdcage and so nick just followed them into the empty restroom. He came up behind the guy and grabbed him easily, putting him in a choke hold and holding tight until he passed out. Nick let himself become visible again. He let the guy drop to the ground and quickly undressed him, slipping off his shirt and then putting on the the clothes and adjusting them to look right. He grabbed the hat and put it on low over his eyes before glancing in the mirror to make sure he looked okay. Nick thought he looked passable so he grabbed his T-shirt, twisting it into a gag and putting it around the guy’s mouth. He moved him out of sight and took a breath. “I hope you don’t wake up.” He muttered before picking up the clipboard from the counter and heading out of the bathroom. He continued to Ace and Zars room, getting the keys from his pocket.

Zar was curled up in a ball in the room, staring at the wall as she laid there. They had been experimented on today, the both of them, lots of running and electrocution (whenever they didn't go fast enough). It was a really crappy day and she was so tired already, but couldn't find herself able to sleep. So there she was, curled up and waiting for whatever they had planned for them next.
Ace stayed close to her when she curled up. He tried to protect her when he could and just comfort her however possible. He sighed and sat up. “Ready to stretch our wings?” He asked, knowing that they were supposed to get to fly today. Nick unlocked the door and pushed it open. “Alright. Let’s go.” He ordered, keeping his voice low so they wouldn’t catch on. He watched them and waited for them to get up and come out of the room, shifting on his feet.

Zar didn't look at him when he asked that, just moved her wings a little bit behind her. It would be good to be able to move without walking since her feet hurt a lot. She jumped when the door was opened, glaring at the scientist that came in. She hated them, all of them. Turning over on her back, she waited until Ace stood up and then reached out her hand so he could help her up.
Ace nodded and stood quickly. He reached out and gently helped Zar up. He kept a hold of her hand and led her to the door and out into the hallway. That was one thing that the scientists accepted lately, letting ace and Zar hold hands or be close from time to time. Nick shut the door behind them once they came out. He moved close to Zar, gently putting his hand on the small of her back in a way that would come across as flirty to anyone watching the cameras. But the scientists were never stopped from doing it. He leaned down close to her ear, turning his head to hide his face and whisper to her. “Don’t freak. We’re getting out.” He said quietly, his voice sounding like himself for a moment. He then moved back and acted like the researcher again, ordering them to the correct halls/doors.

Zar pulled herself up, keeping hold of Ace's hand. He wasn't who she was close with really, all men pretty much scared her. But he was the most familiar thing here to her and she just naturally went to that. She stayed close to him, tensing up when she felt another hand at her back and she squeezed Ace's hand tight, looking over and was ready to punch this guy in the face when she saw who it was. She blinked rabidly at Nick, seeing it was him. Oh my God, he was here to save them? She let him know she understood with her eyes, still acting uncomfortable and like she was trying to get scoot away from him and more towards Ace so it would look more realistic.
Ace glanced over when the researcher got close to Zar, glaring and keeping himself from attacking. He didn’t want them separated so he’d behave and keep quiet. He rubbed her hand gently and kept walking with her. Nick kept calm and directed them out to the birdcage, unlocking the door and letting them outside. He followed them outside and let the door close. He looked around the birdcage, making sure not much had changed. There were a couple cameras out there, mainly just watching the doors though so he didn’t worry about it. “Go ahead and stretch your wings.” He ordered.

Zar went with the two of them outside, looking around when they got there. It wasn't too much different from how it had been when they were younger, just a few small things had been added. When ordered to go ahead, she moved away from the two guys and opened up her wings, jumping up and beginning to flap. It was kinda small in here, not nearly enough space to really go crazy. But it was enough. When Ace went up to join her, she moved as close to him as she dared, not wanting this too look weird though. She just whispered quietly to him."That's Nick."
Ace stretched out his wings and jumped up into the air. He started flying around before coming near Zar. “You sure?” He asked back quietly, glancing to where they stood on the ground. Nick walked around the birdcage to the gate that led outside. He knew the code but was more focused on the camera. Thankfully, they didn’t have audio and whoever installed them hadn’t tucked the wires perfectly into the case. He took out a knife and cut the cords quickly and easily before moving to open the gate.

"Yeah I'm sure," Zar said, glancing over to where he was. She didn't wanna make it obvious though so she kept on fluttering around, just waiting for whatever chance they had. She didn't know what the plan was but she was gonna be ready for whatever it might be.
It took nick a couple minute to get the door unlocked, having to use the right key and then key in a code as well. Once he finally got it, he whistled faintly to get their attention. He pushed the door open and moved aside so they could land and get out. He knew the door would likely set off some sort of alarm so he wanted them to get out first. Ace nodded to Zar and kept flying around, acting normal. He stretched out his arms and wings for a moment, mentally preparing for a fight, just in case. He glanced to the door and watched nick get it open. “Zar. Go.”

Indeed it did. As soon as the door was opened alarms started going off, it having when it was and was not suppose to be open. Zar was quick when she heard Ace's words, diving down right for the door and she made it out, by the scientists were quick too and a few Erasers had been standing guard right in the woods, running in as soon as they saw her. They nearly grabbed her too but she flew up out of reach, looking down at the guys."Nick, Ace hurry up!" she yelled, breathing heavily.
Nick waited, keeping his hat low still. He waited and watched, drawing his knives. Ace flew down after Zar, following her. He shifted and kicked out at the first erasers that were the closest before shooting up high into the sky. Nick finally darted through the door and let it close behind him, opening his wings and forcing them through the shirt and jacket he wore. He smirked at the erasers and threw his hat at one as he shot up into the sky but they were onto him. An eraser caught his leg and yanked him down.

"Nick!" Zar yelled when she saw him get dragged down, about to fly over and help when two other figures came flying out of the woods. Hailey and Hunt were down on him as soon as they saw him get tugged down, both of them staying in the air and kicking at the Erasers, Hailey grabbing Nick's arms and trying to tug him up in the air."Let him go you lousy sacks of shit!"
Ace moved and blocked Zar from going back down. “We’re not strong enough. We gotta get away.” He told her quickly. He didn’t want to leave them but just waiting in the air made them an easy target to shoot at, with tranquilizer darts or bullets. Nick kicked out and struggled against the erasers. He yanked his arms away from Hailey. He was grateful for her help but he needed to use his arms. He kicked the eraser that held his leg before shifting and grabbing him by the shirt. He held onto him, flying up into the air. He wanted revenge right now for everything so he wanted to hurt them to like how they’d threatened to hurt his family. He went up high above them, struggling slightly to hold the eraser but it was worth it.

Zar looked at Ace when he said that, not wanting to just leave them. But she had a point and she flew up higher so they wouldn't be able to hit her, going a bit towards the woods as well in case she needed to duck in.Hunt and Hailey kicked and punched at the Erasers until they let go of Nick, pretty much all of them trying to grab hold of Hailey but she wasn't gonna let them get her. She kicked away from them and flew up along with Hunt. Looking down, she saw more Erasers coming out armed with what looks like guns but were probably just tranq darts. Still, they were bad news.
"Scatter, lets get outta here!" she yelled as one went right past her and Hunt and they both flew into the woods.
Ace flew up higher and away from the others but he stayed near Zar, still in survival mode and trying to keep her safe. Nick took the eraser he’d brought up into the air and moved, dropping him directly above some of the researchers. From that high up, the eraser would likely die. And hurt some others. It was good enough for him. He glanced around, making sure all 4 of them were there. He then flew up higher, watching them scatter. He headed more in the direction of ace and Zar so he could get them to the cave.

Thankfully all of them managed to get away even when they were getting shot at with darts, none of them getting hit with any of them. Hailey looked over at Zar and Ace once they were a little ways away glad to see that they were both okay and she hoped that they were, for the most part, unharmed.Zar also stayed by Ace, wondering where Faye was of course. Why wasn't she with them? She hadn't gotten taken, so was she just back where ever they were with the kids? She didn't know, but at least they were outta there.
Nick followed behind all of them for a few, making sure everyone was okay. He sighed softly and followed after ace and Zar, catching up to them. Ace had been relieved when he saw hunt but he of course wondered about Victor, Cass and Faye. Were they just hiding or where were they? They would’ve known if they’d been caught. He sighed and looked around to follow them back to wherever.

Hailey knew that Ace and Zar were probably worried about the other 3 and she moved closer to the both of them."Faye and the kids are back at the cave at home. We figured it would be safer for the kids to stay there, since they tried to take Victor," she explained to them.
Zar looked at Hailey when she said that, blinking. She guessed that was probably the best idea but she was now worried about Faye. She hoped that she was still alright. The cave that Hailey mentioned, she knew of it and she also knew it was pretty safe, Erasers couldn't easily get to it. So it should be alright.
Ace nodded. “Okay..” He Agreed quietly. “We should get back there. We need to get zars feet bandaged though. And some rest. Her an I are pretty exhausted.” He explained to Hailey. Nick stayed back. Hailey seemed to be going back to being in charge so he willingly stepped back. He’d get them all to the cave safely and then they’d go from there. He listened to ace talk and fill Hailey in.

Hailey did swoop back and glance and Zar's feet, with were pretty banged up from the electrocution. She frowned heavily upon seeing them and nodded."We'll rest for the day, see how you guys feel tomorrow and then we can head back if you're feeling up to it," she replied. She could tell they were both tired, Zar was flying a little bit lower then the rest of them and her wings were going slower as well, but she was holding herself up and that was all that mattered. Plus they got to the cave a few minutes later so that was good.
Ace nodded. He saw the cave that he guessed they’d been camping in and landed near the edge, closing his wings. He held his arms out to Zar in an offer to catch/carry her once she landed, not wanting her feet to get infected or hurt even worse. Nick perched in a nearby tree, closing his wings and getting the lab coat off. He watched the others fly down and land.

Hailey was actually thinking of doing the same thing for Zar as Ace was about to do so she simply allowed him to do it, landing off to the side a bit and watching her to make sure she didn't fall before she got in Ace's grasp. Hunt was also hovering right behind her in case that happened.Zar bit her lip when it came time to land and she maneuvered as best as she could, grabbing hold of Ace's shoulders and giving him a sec to get his arms on her before she closed her wings, not wanting to stand, especially on hard rock. It would hurt too much.
Ace wrapped his arms around her. “I got ya.” He promised, shifting how he held her once she closed her wings. He looked around to the cave and headed further inside to where nicks makeshift bed was. He set her on the blanket. “There.” Nick kept an eye out around them for a few before joining them in the cave. He’d taken off the clothes he’d stolen, balling them up to hide after taking all the important stuff out. He went to his bag to grab a shirt. He slipped on one of his shirts and tucked the other clothes and keys and everything into his backpack. He found zars blanket and brought it to her. “Faye said you’d want this with you..”

Zar let Ace hold her how he wished, whatever was easier after all. It was weird being in the arms of a guy though and she fought down the urge to jump away from him. She relaxed a bit when she was set down, looking at the blanket Nick held out for her. She took it, examining it for a second before smiling."Thank you," she told him, bringing it close to her right away.
Hunt landed once Zar was safe and followed them in, watching as Ace set her down. He put his hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.
"I'm glad you're safe man. You scared the hell outta me," he said with a small chuckle, trying not to act overly excited. He really did try to keep his feelings for Ace in check so he didn't, you know, hug him and pat him down for injuries like he really wanted to.
Nick smiled faintly and nodded. He went back and got the first aid kit they’d put together. “Can I look at your feet?” He asked, unsure if she’d rather have Hailey do it or what. He just wanted to help. “Or Hailey can do it and I’ll keep watch?” He offered, glancing between Hailey and Zar. Ace glanced at Hunt and nodded slightly. “Yeah. That wasn’t fun. But at least you missed me!” He teased him, trying to make light of the serious situation. He shrugged and sat on the cave floor.

Zar looked at Nick when he offered that, biting her lip and looking at Hailey. She wanted her to do it, nothing personal against Nick. But he was a guy and Hailey was not, which automatically made her feel more comfortable."I'll get it. Nick why don't you look over Ace?" Hailey said to him, getting one of the first aid kits and kneeling down in front of Zar, getting out the things that she would need.
Hunt chuckled a bit, watching as he sat down on the floor. He always tried to be discreet, he knew Ace didn't like him back after all. He did sit down next to him, but he gave him some room.
Nick nodded. “Oh and Zar. I’m sorry about earlier. I know you don’t like touch, it was just the best way to speak to you..” he told her softly before glancing at Hunt. He knew Hunt would probably prefer to take care of ace so he figured he’d need to keep watch, just to be safe. He brought the kit over to the boys and then He headed back to the cave mouth. Ace rolled his eyes at the kit. He didn’t think he had any injuries to worry about, just some cuts and bruises. He laid on the floor near Hunt, glancing up at him.

"It's fine," Zar said quickly to Nick's words, not wanting him to think she didn't like him or something. She did, she just preferred hanging around and being touched by girls. And Hailey was the only other one here.Hunt raised his eyebrows when Nick just brought the first aid kit over and didn't look over Ace, blinking a bit. He wasn't the best with first aid after all therefore didn't quite know what to do.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked Ace.
Nick nodded. He opened his wings and left the cave to fly around a bit and make sure that they hadn’t been followed or anything. Ace shrugged. “Nothing that needs attention..” he answered softly. “I’m just tired.” He explained. He looked up st him and smiled. “I think I’ll take a nap and then we can catch up or whatever..”

Hunt nodded a bit and reached over for his bad, getting out the blanket that Ace often took a nap with as well as the stuffed animal Hunt had gotten him years ago."Get some rest then, yeah? I'll wake you up when it's time to eat something," he told him, covering him up.
Ace smiled softly and nodded. “Okay. Goodnight Hunt. Watch for erasers..” he cautioned quietly, not wanting them to get caught again or have anyone hurt. He settled down and quickly fell asleep

"Don't worry, we will," Hunt said, watching Ace until he fell asleep. He sighed softly and reached over, starting to play with his hair as he slept. As he glanced over to the girls, Zar seemed to be struggling to keep her eyes open and Hailey worked on her feet, her head bobbing back and forth a bit and her eyes were starting to close.
Ace hugged the stuffed animal to his chest as he slept, making him seem more like a little kid and less like a teenager. He slept soundly for a while, not even moving. He felt safe with them so his mind didn’t keep waking him up. Nick stayed out for a while, eventually perching in a nearby tree.

It took a little bit of time, but finally Zar managed to fall into sleep once Hailey had addressed all of her injuries. She made sure she was safe and covered up before flying off to the tree that Nick was in, landing on a branch slightly above him."Are you hurt anywhere?" she asked, wanting to make sure.
Nick shrugged. “Nothing that I cant handle.” He answered softly. His black jeans hid the fact that his ankle was all tore up and bloody. He looked around.

Hailey frowned a bit and sighed, handing him the first aid kit."I didn't wanna worry the others about this, but one of the Erasers managed to get me in the back. You need to help me get it," she said, moving her hair to the side and Nick could see that both of the shirts she was wearing was ripped through. She took off both of them, leaving her in her bra, and Nick would be able to see the claw marks on her left shoulder blade. They were deep and any normal person would need stitches, but they healed pretty quick.
“Okay.” Nick nodded. He moved and looked over the wound before opening up the first aid kit. “It’ll Hurt a bit. I gotta clean it and stitch it.” He explained gently, getting out what he needed. “I’m gonna clean it now.” He cautioned before quickly cleaning up the deep gashes, trying to be gentle.

Hailey nodded to him, holding her hair so it wouldn't be in the way."Do you have to stitch it? We can't just wrap it up?" she asked, biting her lip. She wasn't the biggest fan of stitches, could handle a lot of pain, but when it came to needles. Hailey was not a fan.
“They’re pretty wide. It’ll help them heal quicker and with less scarring so yes. They do need stitches.” Nick told her softly. “I’ll be quick about it..” he promised, setting the other stuff aside after getting what he needed.

Hailey whined a bit from being told that, reaching down really quick to get her shirt to hold onto. At least she wasn't actually going to be looking at it, but just knowing it was happening was really gonna suck. "I shouldn't have let him get that close to me. It was stupid, I didn't even know he was there until I felt him," she said with a heavy sigh.
“It’s okay.” Nick assured. He waited until she had her shirt in hand before quickly and gently starting to stitch her back up. “They got me too.” He admitted. “And then I picked one up and dropped them on the researchers. Hopefully killed some of them.” He told Hailey, trying to keep her distracted
"We will. We'll get closer in a little bit and if anything goes wrong we'll jump in to get the door open and help you guys," she replied, not looking directly at him. More so off to the left.
