You definitely aren't too late! I've signed you up. You can take a look at our discussion from week 1 if you're looking for reviews or recommendations, or you can skip right to week 2 discussion to post any of your summer reads from the last two weeks. Thanks for signing up!

Alicia Rescigno (foranimals) | 31 comments I am excited to join this group. I started audio books in April and have devoured 12 books since then. This will give me an opportunity to meet fellow devoted readers and some great discussions!

Vickie | 38 comments Hi, there. Vickie, here. I'm confused about where to enter the books I have read. Also, by the time I choose a book or two related to the week's "theme" and order them from the library, It seems to be nearly another week... Are all the themes already known? Could we possible get them any earlier? Maybe it's just me and I need a tablet or reading device so as to be quicker. I do so enjoy the feel of a book..

@Vickie, we will be posting the weekly themes during SRP on Mondays. When you finish a book, just add a post that you finished a book (or books) that week on the current thread. Any book you finish during the SRP time period counts, regardless of what you started it!

If it helps, here are the themes going forward:
7/9: Week 3: Graphic Novels and Comics
7/16: Week 4: Books Set Outside the US
7/23: Week 5: Retelling of a Classic Novel
7/30: Week 6: Books Written by a Person of Color
8/6: Week 7: Books Written by a Female Author
8/13: Week 8 (Final Week): Villains/Monsters

Remember there are no additional or bonus points given for reading the themes; these are to inspire you to read outside of comfort levels!

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need anything or have any other questions.

Joyce (graceful_j) | 7 comments Hi, Joyce here; though the program's now 3/4 through I'll finally sign in/sign-up, this program last year got me back into recreational reading. I've read a few books during this time though after Unbroken (which coincides with week 1's theme (I'll go comment there next) I've been stuck in week 3 as I've gotten into The Sandman series not sure if I'll get anything read under other week's theme's but I'll definitely finish another under wk3 soon.

Cassandra | 80 comments Jamere and Joyce, you're both signed up!

Thanks! I'll get the darn bookmark at least lol! But it's not about the prizes, tho that's fun; it's about choosing to publicly join the discourse about reading and books instead of just lurking ;-) :-)
