Bumping to see who's still in. This hasn't been the most popular series so far.

Bill | 2150 comments I'm in.

Bill | 2150 comments I’m going to be pretty late to this one. Probably start next week.

Shaitarn | 1963 comments I'm starting a little bit late, even if all I am going to do is moan about the author and his frustrating re-writing of history. (sorry, can't help it!)

Bill | 2150 comments I’m right there with you.

I'll be a few days late as well so no worries.

Shaitarn | 1963 comments Something that struck me while we were reading the last book - why is this series called Emperor? I thought Augustus was the first to use that title.

Bill | 2150 comments Maybe that will be the ending.

Bill | 2150 comments Started today and am about halfway through. I have the same issues with this book as the others in the series. There cracks are starting to appear in the Caesar/Brutus friendship.

One thing I absolutely hate is the new narrator. His pronunciation for Octavian infuriates me everytime I hear it.

Shaitarn | 1963 comments One good thing about this series is it's improving my knowledge of the period - I'm checking details online and then snarling 'No he/she wasn't!' or 'That didn't happen!'
