ضحى الحداد can't talk enough about this book

Shira i just love dis book......i was once like Witney......middle sister u know.....i had that complex

Delaney i love the whole plot and everything about this book!!! this is my fav book of sarah dessen!!!! i liked how there was problems on each side of the character. that made it more interesting!

Delaney Emma wrote: "I thought it was really really good! i stayed until 2;30 in the morning last night reading it and i did not even finish! But I did this morning. Very predictable Sarah Dessen, although I didn't see..."

i agree. but i couldnt stay up cause my parents will yell at me :P. loved it and read it 2 times already. love owen. he's so tall

Danya I read this Sarah Dessen book first (although now I've read them all). It's what made me love her. It's one of my favorite books. It's realistic, funny, and beautiful, and it manages to deal with dark subject matter but keep it uplifting and relatable. I love this book!

totally agree :P

Rebekah This was like my first Sarah Dessen book and the only reason I read it was because my Best friend and the counselor (she always had a book for me and my best friend) kept sayin to read it so I did I really liked it. Owen seemed cool.

Delaney Owen personality seemed so well fitted and with his little sister it added more. When Annabelle and Owen were about to kiss and got interrupted, I laughed out loud but in a disappointing moment at the same time.

Vanessa I like Whitney and her story actually, made me cry.
but i love Owen! :)

(view spoiler)

Chelsey I love Sarah Dessen books but I find them so predictable. girl has trouble with one or more parents, doesn't like her current social group. Then she finds a new group and bam dreamy guy who likes her for who she is, and happily ever after.

yeah, that happened to me because im reading Sarah Dessen everyday. one book one day. so i was like '..ooh this is like Along for the Ride" BUT i still love her books. same flow but worth the read :)

Sarah Its the only Dessen book i've read. I enjoyed it. It wasn't one of my favourite reads, because I couldn't really connect with Annabel, however i totally loved Owen - he was one of the best characters I've ever read about ever.
anyone recommend any other really good sarah dessen books that I can read next?

This Lullaby was really funny and awesome. Dexter (the guy who is in it) is really funny! And even if you feel that Remy is kind of a b**** just keep reading, it gets better.

Veronica I've read every single book by Meg Cabot and this one is one of my top besides The Truth About Forever

RP i loved this book! it felt like the ending was rushed, but it was ok :)

Madie I want to listen to the Mayan Chants

Allee DeCoste I really liked this book. It was the perfect length and ended pretty well. I love Owen and I love how the main character reconnects with her best friend from when she was little. That part was great. Plus After reading it I really wanted to eat bacon!!

I really enjoyed reading about whitney. She was my favourite character.

Alexandra Carita wrote: "I always love all the boys in her books, but sometimes they disapoint you like in That Summer, Someone like you and Dreamaland, otheewise they are all so charming."

id really like to know why you dint like dreamland because although it was diffrent from her usual book i think she was trying to make a stand and say that she can wright serious books too,it was sad but very well written. i myself initally didnt like it but when i looked back on it i realize that i wasnt that i didnt like it but that it just wasnt what i was expecting from sarah dessen because i knew her as writting light fluffy books, so for me it was a good book even though it was sad .

Alexandra Veronica wrote: "I've read every single book by Meg Cabot and this one is one of my top besides The Truth About Forever"

Sarah Dessen wrote 'just listen', not Meg Cabot :/

Marija *Why you mad, why you sad* I looove this book! This was my first Sarah Dessen's book and she's my favorite too!I'm music freak and this book was similar to me.Specially Owen-he's just like me (even if we listen different sort of music-he love techno)...

Amarys I believe about three years ago I got into Sarrah Dessen. I have read and loved every single one of her books since, and when I have nothing to do or just want a good read I tend to choose one of her books from my bookshelf. My personal favorite is Just Listen because it's so real-life. Even if I can't really relate to dramatic sister problems or modeling I can't help but feel as though I go through these things just like Annabelle. Both Annabelle and Owen are quite inspiring to me. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to find a perfect Owen type anytime soon but a girl can dream. I've been begging my father for the past two years or so to please get me engraved rings like Owen's. Same words and all. Still waiting... I hope to get at least one item similar to each of her books. So far I only have key necklaces from Lock and Key but I will get through them at some point.

Cheyenne I read this long before I started to read more 'grown up' novels but still remember enjoying the story and the characters. Not all novels have to be long and detailed to get the story across and this is one of those enjoyable novels.

Nas for people who loved this book there may be a review coming to this blog soon, also things like music will be talked about (and fashion and stuff): http://www.lesdeuxabricots.blogspot.c...

Leah I LOVE this book.
awesome book

Emily This book was the very first book I read by Sarah Dessen. I literally could not put it down. The story fits together so well and the characters are amazing. I think this book shows that it is ok to be different. Great book!!!!

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

This is one of my favorite books. The other Sarah Dessen books are amazing too!

Melissa I love this book. I've read it at least 4 times, and every time I read it I love Owen more and more!

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

This book is one of my faves of all time!:)

Christina Klemzak LOVED THE BOOOOK!!!!!

Gerchia First time I've read a Dessen book- found it in the kids section of the library thinking wth?- and it was lovely, predictable with just the right amount of warm fuzz to make me like it a lot.

Sophia This book is really awesome, like you could really relate. For example having friends diss you, family problems, and friends who you thought was mad at you but really they werent.. also like when you were left alone...none of your 'best friends' are around anymore or arent even your friends and being talked about, you get to meet people who would really care about you like, i believe it was owen right? yeah. This is just a great book...and really touching? is it just me??

Kaylee Mifflin i love this book. i read it at school after a friend recommended it to me. it is a awesome book

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

OMG i knew what the "big secret" was since the beginning but it was still amazing

Gerchia Is it just me or do the protagonists in "Just Listen" and "The Truth About Forever" kinda similar... I'm reading "The Truth About Forever" and I can't help but make these comparisons...

Angela Great book.

нαιℓєу This book was such a cute book! Like there wasn't very much boy friend girl friend stuff but there was something there between them and I thought it was so cute! then at the end I'm like awww can there be a part two.:P

Inès Mastellotto-Lesny I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I'm not normally a person who likes romance book, I prefer fantasy or young adult. So I was really surprised to like it.

HannaH Ohmygosh(: This book made me sooooo happy<3 I read it on a long road trip and I couldn't put it down(:

message 94: by Sosa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Sosa I loved this book because of Owen, I loved how truthful he was because personally I can lie so easily and quickly and good it scares me. This was one of my favorite Sarah Dessen books, I've read all of them except "What Happened to Goodbye".

Jennifer this book is so adorable. i love Owen. he so nice, and sweet. i dont mind to have a boyfriend like him. ♥

message 96: by Tori (last edited Nov 23, 2012 12:57AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tori Hall Me, personaly I fell in love with this book
it was very touching, and this is my favorite book by Sarah Dessen.

Emily Thorne I love this book but to be fair there isn't a Sarah Dessen book that i have read that i haven't loved. Just listen has amazingly realistic characters that you cant help but love right from the beginning. I love the relationship between Owen and Annabel not just because they are really sweet together but also their friendships.
Sarah Dessen has an amazing way of putting serious issues into her books and allowing her characters to show how they deal with it, not just showing the good but the bad as well. Just listen shows Annabel trying to cope with such a huge thing all by herself and then slowly come out of herself with the help of Owen to deal with what happened to her and what could have happened to her. Its really impressive and an amazing book.

Joanna I really loved it but am I the only one who thought it wasn't long enough? lol
