Why don't know you what you think about it?

Plus a lot of it just seemed needlessly convoluted.
So I liked it, and there were parts I loved. But there were more parts of it that were meh to me.

I'm reading Rise of Empire on audiobook - really liking how this reader does these books. I'm also working on The Goldfinch and for my evening fluff, Kitty Rocks the House.

ahhhh. That makes sense.

I really wish you could get into the Witch World series...

My big criticism is the lack of description. The world she's created is so unique, I just wish her descriptive powers let me picture it better.
Still, I'm looking forward to reading it. As I said, the world's very unique and the storyline's intriguing. Just not a series for everyone :)

Hopefully this'll break me out of my string of 2-starers...

That doesn't bode well...

I read Stories of Your Life and Others, which has some really excellent stories. I loved it. I read the whole thing in 3 days. The title story especially was very moving.
Right now I'm reading Wool Omnibus which is awesome so far. Very bleak but I'm only halfway through, we'll see where this goes.
I'm also almost done with Neuromancer which is.... challenging I guess. I'm pretty confused with regards to settings, and the story is OK, but I can appreciate why this is a classic. I can imagine this being much more groundbreaking 25 years ago than it is right now, since our information society has in some ways exceeded the ideas in this book.

It's always fun for me to see how authors will describe "learning magic." I like this take at it.
Also, I like the characters (esp. our main, Peter Grant) and the slightly different take of things due to cultural differences (British author). The audio is great, and there are occasional random quirky lines that make me laugh.
I would recommend.

I recently listened to the audio. I really liked it, but agree. Towards the end it started feeling a bit dragged out.

I have a romance I'm reading but its not as interesting as my rereads.

I thought this sounded really interesting, especially having seen the upcoming movie coming out. Did it get any better?

Hi K.M. The book was at its most interesting when you don't know what's going on and I found that the ultimate explanation wasn't that interesting and then the end dragged on for a bit too long. It was a perfectly fine, average book but not something I would say I loved. That's just me though. I really liked the writing style just not the story so I probably will try other books by the same author.

I still have The Strain hanging around, halfway read but can't bring myself to do to much with it.
