August 2014 Random Read Group Read: Secondworld by Jeremy Robinson *Spoilers*

I started this yesterday. I had to turn it off because the beginning is kind of disturbing. I'll keep it up but probably not at bedtime.

I've only read one book by Jeremy Robinson and that was The Didymus Contingency which I really enjoyed! I will try to start on this one soon.

Did it end on a cliffhanger? I hope not.

I exchanged my Playaway copy for the print book. I have started it again and will try to get further in as soon as time permits.

I agree, definitely disturbing...I'm about 25% in now and do like the action so far (after that first opening scene). If the book continues on as in the beginning, I don't think I would be able to finish it. Hopefully, the worst is behind me now.

I finished this yesterday and I loved this book. I'm glad I was able to get past that first scene. So don't give up, Lisa. I think if you like Matthew Reilly and James Rollins, you'll enjoy this.
I am posting discussion questions as we speak.

I just realized that I never posted once I finished this story. I did enjoy it and would definitely like to read more of his stuff.
What brought me back to this thread was a deal I came across today. It is a short story by Jeremy Robinson about Milos Vesely ("The Cowboy" character from Secondworld). I did enjoy his character in SecondWorld and thought it might be fun to read. It is called Nazi Hunter: Atlantis, previously called I Am Cowboy

Amazon has it at $0.99 for Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Nazi-Hunter-Atl...
