Yes, Johnny Cougar, John Cougar Mellencamp or just plain old John Mellencamp, it's all good. Given that Bruce Springsteen has already been done long before I joined, this is the best artist that I could have nominated.

I'm gonna have to excuse myself from this around..not because I don't like Mellencamp (I don't know him!), but cannot check out his music, as my headphones broke a few days ago. I can't listen to music on my laptop, without them, so not able to find a nom for this round. Currently waiting for new ones to arrive...hopefully, they'll be delivered soon, so I can vote though....much apologizings!
A bit of a drop in numbers again this week, but still, 9 can't be classed as a disaster. 3 points apiece then, voting as usual closes at 10 pm on Thursday evening.

There we go then, all done for another week.Running away with the gold medal, Sj's nom, Paper In Fire. Second place, and a nice shiny silver gong to this week's nommer, Rob, with Check It Out. And Gordon just grabs the bronze with Jack & Diane.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. We moved house just before Christmas, but we only got a 6 month lease to begin with. That has now been extended indefinitely so I finally put the effort in and totally revamped my hiding space - it's looking awesome :-) Not quite finished yet though, a few finishing touches to go.
A deserved winner - "Paper in Fire" is his best song, and I would have nominated it had it not already been nabbed! In fact, if I ever make it as a big-time charlie author, sell a million copies (only 999,948 to go) and get asked to appear on Desert Island Discs, "Paper in Fire" would be one of my picks.
