Hahah true!! Well tbh Anime brought me to kpop I watched anime since I was a kid, Sailor Moon then Pokemon and much more, but my favorites are Sailor Moon and Narutoooo <3 I even rewatched SM recently, wanted to remember it :D

I've been watching them for about 10-ish years. The repetition doesn't seem to bother me much. But I mostly watch historical dramas anyway.

Nope. For instance in my family my brother can say. My name is.... and that's about it.

I took 6 years of French Immersion a long time ago so I am a bit more proficient. I could converse with a toddler maybe. lol.

My mom is a bit better than my brother but not by much.

Most people have about the same proficiency in Canada with French as the Americans do with Spanish. Very similar. :)

Unless people live in a big city, they never really even think about it. My town is pretty small. There are a few Mexican families but that's about it. If I were to go to any other country I would want to go to England (because my mom is half English) or Ireland just because. I definitely want to see some castles some day.

We existed since 300BC and were a kingdom once, however after recent historical events that took place we lost half of our lands :) that's why it's small now

Sailor Moon was the bomb. I actually hate it dubbed now and prefer it subbed. Never got into the shounen anime. Always preferred the shojo. Although I do like Bleach. It's like my one exception.

America is one of the worst I think. It's such a powerhouse that most of it is concentrated on itself. Other countries tend to focus on the US and other countries more.

Yes. I actually meant back then. I have a very general idea of where it is now. Not as close to Europe as you would think but closer to Russia. That's about my knowledge of that portion of the world in general. I sometimes can't even remember all my own provinces and territories. :S

I think that's one reason why a lot of other countries think of Americans as rude. There is a big perception that most Americans don't care about other countries. I think a lot of it comes back to resources. The ones who have them, usually speak another language. The rest either don't have them or are focusing so much on getting by that they just don't take the time to worry about it. Then there are a huge number that enjoy other cultures but just don't want to learn the language because they just don't have any way to learn, but I imagine that's the same as other places.

Believe that's not the reason people think that American's are rude. Cause actually the European countries like France and Germany and Spain, where they have pretty popular international languages, they don't speak in a second language that much as well, much more than English speaking countries but not a lot. Australia and UK would be the same in that case lol I think it's the smaller countries that teach foreign languages, and it's apolitical move. Well that's my opinion.
